Mr. Squid,

It affects the calculations for how many territories a player can annex at once (1 can be annexed for every three territories a player already controls).

Your home territoty is your country and doesnt count as any.

Aww man!

Well the original stats are for your homeland, adding it as a territory doesnt make sence, every nation would start of with the bonus.

Uhh...Boss man?
I was cleaning the dead nations off of the thread, and I threw his body in the dumpster with the others...
Is he supposed to stay in the group?

He is still in the game, remember that any nations could still rejoin at any time. Don’t delete stats, or any other comments, not yet.

Seeing as I am neither able to continuously partake in the events within this group, and my LDD fails to consistently work, I hereby surrender the Republic of Talo and all military equipment and funds associated with it to the Cheyenne Coalition until further notice. Thank you for your patience my friends, and I apologize for any inconvenience that may have come about due to my absence.

Well, it's sad to see such a talented builder and a long-time player like you go. Anyway, you have nothing to apologise for. If you ever feel like coming back, I'm sure we'll be happy to see you.

OK, so...

When you said:

"Three members have been removed untill they are active again"

What does that mean in terms of the game? I asumed it meant REMOVED... but able to paly again if they wanted to start a new nation.

But it turns out they are removed from the map, but still there? Like invisible inactive nations?

This is confusing. Like, if they could come back at any time (this is a long standing stratigic assumption, and nothing new) then why take them off the map? It creates the idea that they are somehow gone... but in reality, the situation is exactly the smae as it was before the map update. Any of them could spring back onto the map tomorrow?

Phrased differently, what did you actually change when you turned those countries white?

If I don't understand, I can't assist.

What I mean is that they have been removed from the map.
If they rejoin they can do so, but new members can also claim there land.
Having dead nations on the map is unnessasary.

So nothing has realy changed, they have been removed ONLY from the map. They can rejoin, but since they are not on the map, they are NPCs. Its not really diferent from when you attacked the federation, only he was on the map, since he never replied he was counted as an NPC, but a new person couldnt capture his nation.

In the next update I will give them numbers, and if the nation rejoins it would be nice if they had the option of having there nation again, so dont delete stats, or NNC comments.

As for your proposed disposition of Talo, it's not legal.

Mr. Squid, what course of action do you mandate?

This is true,... but its done all the time in these games. There are all sorts of ways "loop holes" to get around this rule. First off is that

(A) the rule litterally applies to territories "NPCs", not player own nations, thus no rule exists on the matter

(B) These things happen all the time in real life, Some examples are Italy, and a few other european nations in wwii, they joined germany out of fear alone, and germany didnt even spend a buck.

(C) most importantly of cource is that I am an Admin, and so is Tyro. I have been reviewing the rules, of cource shifts in power are what the group is about.

Baffling, but it's your bus Boss man.

Oh, and what do you think about notion of Talo mailing itself to you like the worlds biggest Christmas gift?

I did suggest this to him, as we’ve done it before in a previous group. Of course we didn’t have someone like you who reads the rules so fine lined.

I don’t see how this is inconvenient to you. I will work on a rule set regarding this tomorrow, if you need to have one.

If this is that large of a problem, I could halt annexation of T-170. I can of course annex a territory now, without added cool down time, as I already had three territories before I attacked T-172.

I'm with Paperweight and Rutherford on this one, as this seems like blatent power abuse. And if you do allow this type of thing, what's to stop Arcadia, the Conglomerate, and Tongaria from forming a new United States of America and stomping anyone who tries to stop us? It's a double edged sword, one that's not necassarily in the Confederation's favor. (I'm kind of busy right now, exspect more from me later)

Even though my word doesn't matter, I'm with Rutherford and Matthew on this one. As Matthew said, what stops him from making one giant country? Really, just follow the rules guys, I've seen too many wargame groups die, I don't want this one to suffer the same fate. And if we don't have some real wars soon, people will loose interest, like in D&C (I miss that group). Really, think about it. Now I go back to schoolwork, as I'm in class.

Mr. Squid.

Use your Admin, and Group Founder authority to over ride the rules and make the territory your own.

Make a clear decision, make it quickly, and then lets move on.

I have listen to your argument, one that is flawed in every manner. The republic of Talo isn’t a territory, thus rule 5 doesn’t apply, also as you say all the time its my job to interpret the rule, not you.

So its a plain lie that rule five prevents me from taking gaining the republic.

I will follow your lie despite this, solely because its in the best interest of the group now. I will annex the republic in the correct manner, with 2 weeks, then two weeks cooldown time.

Quoting P4perweight .
As I could not get away with partial economic damage from my situation, you should not be able to annex 3 territories immediately(if you are saying you can), with no time. You have 7 territories, you need to have 1 more territory to annex 3 Ts at once anyways. Yes, it is realistic, but no, it would not be fair.

No dude you don’t know our situation.
When we had 3 territories, we captured 1 "that’s 1 territory that we can still capture."
So we halt annexation of the other 2.

Also its the rules that its not war till there is boots on the ground, we have stated in INN that that wont happen until a said date.

Lastly its in the rules that for every three territories you gain one annexation. So when a nation gets 6 they can capture 3, we dont have six but still.
"edit I noticed the error in that convo regarding to this, sorry if that’s an inconvenience"

This isn't the response I hoped for from the group leader. This is very dissapointing, the name calling and all. Michael Rutherford doesn't seem like a liar to me, but rather somebody who has a better idea of fairness and the rules than the leader does. I'm starting to think this game is just meant for you and close friends, and not for everyone. Very dissapointing. Good luck to you.

Think what you want, the fact is that Rutherford called me names, he opposed the rules, and he lied, yes lied.
crop it up any way you like, rage quit for no reason, fact is Ive run this group from the start fairly.
When someone comes along and acts helpfull
I make him a mod, when he turns to the dark side and attacks me, I dont do anything to him.

Yet I am a bad guy who cant run my group.
Well here is what I do all the time, you guys dont want me to run the group anymore, I wont.
Call me back in a month when you want me to make C&C 2. I swear to god this is the last time Im putting up with this.
This is the third time this has happened. My week is ruined now, and I havet done anything.
