This is going to be exciting! Ever since you mentioned the prize to me back in March on my Mini Daily Planet I've been eagerly anticipating the time when I can win it! Is there a picture of it coming up? :)

My exact thoughts as well :)

I'll have to buy some of the superheros on Bricklink, though, but it will be worth it... anyways, I was planning on getting them sometime in any case...

So... this will be diving into new building territory for me :)

That had been my thought yesterday night when I added the '(FF)', but I hadn't been clever enough (or too tired) to change the 'Final' into 'Fantastic'.
Anyway, it's done. Thanks for the hint.

And to everybody:
I'm glad to see so many interested and cool builders here. This is going to be thrilling.

This contest is shaping up very nicely! It's also been fun reading my old comics and watching super-hero movies to get some inspiration. I actually just finished watching the whole X-Men series; maybe I'm too sentimental, but I just couldn't sympathize with the whole " bad mutants beatin' on conniving humans/good mutants" storyline. Still, I wouldn't mind seeing LEGO make more X-Men sets, especially minifigs.

I do believe that being overpriced isn't as bad as I originally thought... It only means that less people will buy my kind making me rarer than most... If you see what I mean.

Yeah, that one. Wow we've got SERIOUS competition no entries after 2 days is unusual. Those minifigs I was talking about are really annoying though, because I have to use forced perspective to have them in the same scene as normal figs.

Heh, I was loathed to post my entry so early. I don't like people knowing what they have to beat (evil laugh), but I had no choice. I won't be back online for another two weeks. I look forward to seeing everyone's entries when I am though! I wonder how they'll narrow it down to 4 people. The categories leave room for a lot of diversity between the entries (how do you measure a vehicle up against, say, "fail"). Will there be a winner for each of the four categories I wonder (maybe I missed something in the rules thread). Well however it plays out, good luck everyone!

Unfortunately, it's looking like I won't be able to build. When I signed up for this contest, I planned on putting some effort into an entry. What I didn't foresee was that a friend of mine, (the Timinater in fact) would offer for me to build something for him to take down to the South Island (of New zealand - where I live) to display at NZ's first ever Lego show, along with his builds. Having something built by me presented for the public to see is an opportunity that I definitely don't want to miss, but while building for this event, (my MOC happens to be super-hero related, but unfortunately not something that would be eligible for this contest) I procrastinated building an entry for this contest. I realize now that, still needing to finish my Lego show build, I don't have enough time to scrape together a half-hearted entry, let alone a decent one. I'm really sorry to drop a commitment, and I apologize for my lack of foresight when I signed up, but it looks like I won't be entering. Sorry.

We will do it like it's done in the MOCie awards (TFOL -17, AFOL 18 - ...).

The other one is correct by definition though: TEENageFanOfLego ends with being nineTEEN and becoming twenty.

But like I said, the contestant with the highest score who is not older than 17 and not winner of the 1st or 2nd prize will win the 3rd prize.
