I'm opening this thread a little early... please wait till you see the categories before posting in here.
This thread is for... as the title says... shameless self promotion. You may promote one (or more... but keep it minimal) of your builds here for one of the categories.
Adding something to this thread does NOT mean that you are, or will be nominated for a category. It's simply a way of saying "Hey guys, I think this was pretty good. Check it out please."
Oh yeah... and you might want to add a link to your creation so we can see what you're talking about AND say what category you think your creation would fit into.

I'm not sure which category this would fit in, possibly miscellaneous due to the fact that its a mash-up of 2 contrasting themes, but I would like to nominate my Alien Mummy Ship: http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/295082
This is the hardest I've ever worked on a model, due to the fact that I built it in 7 days for the MOColympics Quarter Finals. And you also get to see my ugly mug, who doesn't love that? :)

If you are deciding who to nominate depending on their building skills, then I am obviously not the ideal choice, as there are other teenaged builders who are much more talented and post more often.
But I think that other things like activity on, and contribution to, MOCpages, are also important and are things that have marked my (nearly) three year presence here on MOCpages. (OK, yes, I admit, I was quite a nooob when I first joined, but how many of you actually were active at all back then!?)
Some things I've done in the last year that would perhaps be good reasons why I should be nominated (newest to oldest):
- Hosting the first Mafia on MOCpages, bringing a whole new level of fun to the 'pages :D
- Hosted the MOC Speed Contest, a contest where fast building is required, and I even let the contestants torture one of the judges (guess who they tortured :P) in the last round.
- And of course there's always that rowdy group of teenagers called the TFOL Private Club that I have to keep a close eye on :P
And there's more stuff that I did in the past, like help get the 18+ filter brought in, and the epic fails in every big contest I enter (*cough*Dave Kaleta*cough*)

So I've been debating whether or not to do a "shameless self promotion" and I guess it doesn't hurt (probably nobody will read it anyways). My first attempt (above^) was a total joke, as I hope you all noticed (the link takes you to one of my first MOCs from almost 2 years ago).
As for myself, this is my last chance to receive the "TFOL of the Year" award, because next year I'll be an AFOL by definition. Scary right? Then the competition just gets harder! I honestly don't think I deserve the award, but thought I'd play the pity card anyway! =D

Ru, I was actually considering her for TFOL. With most improved though, you should change the first MOC as it was in May 2011 and not within the past year. Best to you and your sister.
