I like the original Tom and Jerry's! :)

I was watching some of those today. They're the best. They still make episodes but they're really bad. Cartoon Network always shows a mix of the different eras butthe latest are quite possibly worse than the ones where the sound is all off and overything is really circular shaped. The Chuck Jones ones aren't too bad but they are all like the Road Runner episodes of Looney Tunes. Very repetitive. But yes, the originals are the best.

Far too many things can be added in my list. If I was to compile a list, there would be probably 100 things.

Those were the best! If you could keep up and get 85% of their references, you were doing great. Tom Servo has to be the most abstract thinker ever with his tangents, quotes, and references. Pure genius. Wish they would have done more. Also wish they would have done more popular movies as well.

Not to sideline the topic, but I think it's more of an indicator to say what movie you have seen the most times. I can say the best movie that I have ever seen is La Salaire de la Peur (The Wages of Fear from 1953); But the movie I have seen the most times is The Empire Strikes Back or Raising Arizona (yes, I'm old.)

I say tell us both. It'd be more informative and interesting. (and in some cases, funny)

I've seen all the Star Wars Movies far too many times. It wasn't until I hadn't watched them for awhile that I really appreciated Episode IV. There was one night I couldn't sleep and I had gotten around to watching Episode IV, and I watched it from start to finish, and I don't know what happened (Was it me being over the hill of 18? Was there alignment with the planets? Was it that I was off of a Star Trek High?) but it was an epiphanetic experience where I just realised, that movie kicked azz! Having watched it since I was unable to remember the first time I saw it and then always having the ability to pause to go to the bathroom or get food or something, I just always knew what was coming up next. But for the first time, I was really excited after watching it and having the suspense of "Is Luke going to make it past all the lasers?!" while watching even though he obviously had to, and it was the best night I never got sleep.

Well I've done said something MOCpages thinks is bad. I did try to bend the rules a bit, but there must have been something else because I've gotten away with my methods in the past.

Different comment. This one had to do with Star Wars and it was a reply to matt rowntREE. I don't think he said anything that would have caused an issue though because replies can make perfect comments get flagged.

Oh just post it. We're all adults here, or at least seen shows and movies that say that anyway. It's easier just to accept all comments in moderation, unless there are duplicates.

it was the best night I never got sleep.

See? That's what I'm talking about. We can all quantify movies based on our opinions as to what is the "best". But when you boil it down to movies that you are more than giddy to watch over and over again, even though you know what's coming, because it reliably takes you to a different place than right here and right now, THAT'S what tells us more about who you are and what you like. It is never anything to be ashamed or proud of, it just is.

I am 42 years old and can quote Willy Wonka until your sick of it (I find that I actually do everyday. That and Blazing Saddles.) There are some movies, TV shows, books, whatever that hit you so profoundly that it becomes the "experience" and not the moment. And, re-living it is almost euphoric and comforting. Like a maple doughnut.

KNIGHT RIDER!!!

Knight Rider is definitely my favorite show, it used to be Avatar, but you really can't beet a talking, near indestructible car that can Jump any and all obstacles. K.I.T.T. (Knight Industries Two Thousand) can also drive on two wheels, go 300 MPH, and has as many gadgets as Batman!
Avatar is still a close second though. And I am out of Knight Rider episodes! Whaaaaa, I watched the whole series!

Favorite Movie:
The Last Airbender - NOT! I didn't even watch the whole trailer it looked so bad!
Really my favorate movie has got to be "The Final Countdown" A 1980 aircraft carrier falls through a rip in space time and ends up in the waters outside of Pearl Harbor December the 6th 1941. F-14 Tomcat vs. A6M Zero, you really can't beet that!

Favorite movie: Gotta give a top 3.
1. Lord of the Rings.
2. Pacific Rim tied with Despicable Me 2
3. Thor

I have so many favorites. I could go on forever.

The final Countdown ROCKS! True story. I saw that movie in the theater, then later that week, I went over to my great-grandmother's house (actually, she lived with Dinah Shore as her housekeeper. Look her up.) Anyways, my sister and I were swimming in the pool and my great-grandmother says that I need to meet someone. So I swim over to the edge of the pool and look up to see Kirk Douglas. DUDE! I just watched him in The Final Countdown and Spartacus is standing in front of me! Awesome. I always loved that movie for more reasons than it's totally awesome. Go Nimitz!

The finale countdown sounds good!

It's really good, just don't expect it to be an action movie. It has a few shooting scenes, but it is really more of a sci-fi mystery. This is part of why it failed in the box office. It was marketed as a summer blockbuster and yet it really wasn't a fast past action movie as it was advertized to be.

If you can find the trailers, check them out. They are truly painful and don't do any justice to the movie. Some great special effects for 1980, and there's A PLOT! With Good Acting! And Great Directing! Worth finding.
