Okay, now we have been wittled down to 12 members let's begin some serious CC!
However, let me recap you on some of the rules and a new one.
1- In order to create a thread for advice you must have given CC to two other threads.
2- In your thread please say what two threads you gave CC in. This is in order to prove your thread is legitimate.
3- Don't hold back on CC.
4- If you can't take CC, this isn't your kind of group!
So let's get as much threads up as possible! Permalink | May 5, 2012, 5:22 am |

Well said. Sombody needs to throw out two MOCs up front though, so everybody else can CC before posting new threads. Oh, and good job on the icon. Attack! Permalink | May 5, 2012, 7:27 am |

What if there is not enough new threads to criticize in (theoretically saying that we already commented in all)?
Do old threads count?
Is writing which threads we commented in enough or shall we link?
Is there a minimum to what we say to legitimize our comment? I suggest that we make it so the maker of the thread verifies commentyness of the commentaries. Permalink | May 6, 2012, 12:23 pm |

I recommend we count old threads as valid, otherwise, we would be sort of vapor locked right? Nobody could be the first person to ask for commentary (mathematically). I recommend we just all offer CC on the next two threads and not get caught up in a “catch 22” (AKS the chicken or the egg).
As for comentyness, that word is a crime in the court of grammar.

It is a slight predicament. But I propose that we allow everyone to add one free thread. After that we will go with rule #2 of the reforms.
So let's get some threads started. Permalink | May 7, 2012, 6:01 am |

Good to see you back and too bad about the Out of Your Comfort Zone Contest. That had promise. Perhaps we could host a contest in this group some time. Permalink | June 13, 2012, 3:54 am |

But how would I incorporate Constructive Criticism into it?
Perhaps everyone could post a MOC and points are gained based on how good their CC is. Permalink | June 14, 2012, 3:59 am |

Excellent. I'll start it once my exams finish. That will be in two weeks.

Gypsy,
I have a suggestion, I think maybe you should make a few people moderators, like Mr. Rutherford, as he seems to be a very active and contributing person in this group. If you don't know who should be a moderator, maybe you should put up a voting system by making another E-mail and having people not allowed to vote themselves up, not everybody has to contribute, and like the top 2-4 people get to go to "round 2" where people vote them up. and the leading 1-2 people get to become moderators. But if you don't want moderators, that's your choice. I just feel comments would be approved faster. Permalink | June 25, 2012, 10:05 pm |

Thank you for the suggestion. I have already offered Mr Rurtherford a modship but he respectably declined.
I'm not sure what the point would be in having mods. Would you care to explain? Permalink | June 26, 2012, 5:52 am |

Constructive criticism sometimes includes expressions like "bad" (mostly as "not bad") or horrible (as in "horrible lighting") and is caught by the moderating system. Permalink | June 26, 2012, 6:15 am |

Haha! I just had to moderate that. I guess you anticipated that, though. Permalink | June 26, 2012, 6:36 am | |
