May 1st suddenly seems a long way off! Here's a question to kill time:
What is the most indispensable (can't live without) piece for your Bio-MOCing? Discuss...

I don't know what to call it, but this piece:

I have to agree with Blitz, can't get enough of those!

Blitz took my answer. Excellent.

Yep, black 1x axles. Those red ones have been the bane of Bio-MOCing since their introduction!

The individual ball pieces. They really expand what you can do with bionicle parts.

Yup, the hole-through ball joint has more possibilities than any part I can think of. Totally useful! Can't get enough of these :)

Either the old black small axles, the ball joints, or the blue axle/pins.

Hmm, 1x1 polls...old hands...

Yep. That sounds good.

Black axles, hands, ball joints, and this last one is rare, but black versions of those commonly blue connectors (half pin-half axle.) I have like 3!!! >=O

No kidding!! Those black half rod half pins are like gold! (except they're black XD) Also I find 1x2 thin lift-arms extremely useful.

YES...My mocs would be nothing without my black axles I never use light grey or red axles unless the mocs colour scheme is red or light grey.

They are even really rare on Bricklink. What gives? Why are they so hard to come by? They are really awesome to work with.

My most valuable piece is one that is commonly used for custom limbs. I don't remember, but I think its called a Technic Axle and Pin Connector Perpendicular Double Split, or other... I have only about 16 of them and I have them all in use. I just LOVE those things. They are so useful.

I found them especially useful for my old custom torsos. Now I use them for a lot of things, both aesthetic and functional.

Yup, that's the one. That's exactly what I do, and I keep finding better uses for them as time proceeds.

Technic pieces. Especially rods, connectors, and the pieces that can connect them. If I didn't have those, I probably couldn't build without them! =O

If I had been asked, say, a year ago, I would have said Inika torso. Shame on me.
Now, I'd say the black pin, simply. http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=2780 Yup. Try to find a BIONICLE without it. (apart from the dreadful Avtoran and Agori, of course)

Ball joints and Mata-Hero hands. I usually work with the parts I have so I don't usually worry about most of parts, but I get really nervous if I see I don't have some of them. Now I'm out of ball joints so guess what.

Oh, and, Bohrok-kal, dear, I can't see your link, it doesn't load.

That's better.

Oh, those parts. The only ones that I don't stop using them, and however I'm never out of them.

Same here :D
BTW, earlier I would have said I couldn't get rid of those hand ball-joint pieces (Mata hands, y' know); now I'm trying very hard not to use them to build more custom.

I prefer the other version because they work better as eyes, however for custom designs the others are always better.
