Does anyone else think that the early days of Bionicle (2001-2003) were the best?

Er... I was two in 2001, but I did love the Rahkshi. I have them all now through trading with my old neighbor.

That reminded me of the Kanohi mask shoes I saw on the back of one of the Bionicle comics. XD. Interchangeable masks for your toes!

I wasn't much older, but I remember a lot of the 2003 era, and I've spent a lot of time looking back at 2001 marketing material. I wish I could go back...

Me too. My first experience with LEGO or Bioncle was getting my dad a Lewa Nuva for his birthday. Of course it wasn't the best gift, but it just looked so cool sitting there on the shelf...

I never had any either. It's just so weird to think about wearing faces on your feet. I bet my dog would be so scared of those. XD

My first encounter with Lego (that I can remember clearly) is standing in front of rows and rows of Toa Mata, and not being allowed to get Tahu, Kopaka or Lewa becasue of their weapons. I got Gali. I still have her (and the rest of them) all with canisters, instructions, and gold mask.

Yeah, that could be a problem. I wanted some, but A.) I never knew where to get them and
B.) I was already being bullied (It has since stopped).

Ahh, those tooth-brushes were cool. Interesting thing here: You may remember that Lego had a sort of crash in 2005/2006. The set's got smaller and less complicated, and not as much was produced. It was because all these non-Brick pieces of merchandise weren't selling like the hotcakes Lego thought they would, and so Lego had a little Financial Crisis of it's own. It recovered, and was actually able to ride out the GFC because of this.

Isn't that line from TMNT:Fast Forward?

Maybe, but it originates in an old British comedy (I forget exactly which)
