Well, I'm almost finished a Doctor Who MOC, but this is the wrong group for that. ;) However, I have started elements of a micro-scale castle. How about you?

I'm sure it's okay to talk about non-castle stuff in this group. ;P Oh, so you've started on that micro castle huh? I'm looking forward to what you come up with! I just posted my micro castle yesterday, but I have another MOC I'm working on: miniland figures.

Going straight from micro to miniland, eh? Nice.

Yep. Mmm...It seems as if you and I are the only "Active Castle Builders." ;) What good moderators we are!

I'm going to make a medieval church (not quite cathedral scale, but still big). I'm still in the planning stages, which is kind of a new thing for me. I'm not used to having to make plans, but it seems that for this build I will need to. I also need some parts-anyone got some LBG 2x2 tiles they want to unload?

I'm alsways open for new suggestions, so if you have some good ideas, tell them ;)

How about another animal? I'd love to see what you come up with.

Does anyone else feel like they have to order parts for every single build?

Yes. But the orders seem to get smaller and smaller with each MOC.

Nope. I dislike buying pieces and always like to make due with what I have. It challenges creativity and protects the wallet. ;) My brother is the opposite however.

No, I make due with what I have. I usually order a bunch of pieces and then figure out what to do with them a few months later. ;)

Wait, you just buy a bunch of random pieces before planning what you want to build? How is that making due with what you have? ;P

I was quite impressed by your newest creation. Micro-scale creations like that are taking the genre to the whole next level! Nicely done;)

My brother and I have recently decided do another collaboration. The plan is to build a minifig-scale castle. We probably won't start for a while as we need to scrap up enough pieces.

So my Cathedral WIP has been put on hold. I need some more pieces, but I don't want to spend much money right now, so I'll be waiting a bit. In the meantime, I'll be making some smaller stuff.

That's too bad. I'm looking forward to seeing something from you. You haven't posted in awhile considering how active you are.

I'm now working on a Viking longship, with a custom hull of course. Good thing I have tons of reddish brown tiles.

Yeah, it's my first ship. I'm having a good time building it, and it's looking pretty good so far.

Very cool, I look forward to seeing it. How large will it be?

I'm not quite sure how long it'll be, but I think it should be more than 12 studs wide.
