- Contest Rules -
The contest criteria are as follows:
1. As this is a Hero Factory contest, your entry will need to be a Hero Factory character. Please build a Hero- no villains as of yet.
2. Your Hero must have a custom torso. This means a body design created from Technic, HF, and Bionicle parts, which is not a designated torso element.
3. The primary color of your Hero must be one that has not been the primary color of a Hero Factory set before.
For example, your Hero could not be primarily orange, because that is the primary color of Nex, but it could be medium green, because that is only used as accents, and not as a primary color.
4. Your Hero must be suited to a specific environment, villain, or task.
For example, you could build an ice-themed Hero with snowshoes, or give a Hero a Hazmat suit to take down a radioactive villain.
5. Judges have the ability to alter these rules at any time, as long as it is within reason, and the judges have consulted with each other beforehand.
6. New creations must be built for each entry; using MOCs assembled or begun pre-contest is not allowed.
7. Painted, Sharpied, or otherwise recolored parts are not allowed.
I tried to make the rules as clear and concise as possible, but feel free to ask anything about them.
1st round categories will follow in a separate post. Permalink | March 25, 2012, 1:57 am |

No, they technically don't. Just make sure that they are reasonable- chibi Heroes are not recommended. ;) Permalink | March 26, 2012, 6:22 am |

Any limit on the amount of entries per round? I made up three in anticipation for the contest, and they do fit the theme. (so technically they've already been made, but never posted or shown, soo... I'm pretty sure by usual rules that's okay.) Permalink | March 28, 2012, 4:30 pm |

Scratch that, I just looked at round 1, I just have ice. Plus he's mainly white, with only an accent of purple. Back to the drawing board! Permalink | March 28, 2012, 4:51 pm |

With the custom torso thing... I'm using a limb piece (It's obviously a limb piece) as the base of the torso, but the piece has been used as a torso in the past (the light-blue piece on Kiina). Does it still count as custom? Permalink | March 30, 2012, 5:15 pm |

How Ro and I will judge:
5 points for complexity
5 points for color scheme
5 points for category (how well it fits the theme, for example jungle, arctic, etc.)
Entries will not be judged until the round ends. This means that you can post earlier versions of your entry fro critique until that date. Permalink | March 30, 2012, 9:43 pm |

it means that you can't use a standard issue bionicle/hero factory torso technique.(correct me if the rules for this particular contest are different chronos/ro)

It is extremely highly recommended. However if you can't use one, try a brickbuilt core. For example, the first entry added to the group had a nicely built core using three common system parts. Permalink | April 7, 2012, 7:12 pm |
