Thanks everyone for the amazing patience! I finally got time to post this!
Earlier I said that the judges would just vote in case of a tie. Well, due to the fact that it's the second round and we're tied with two spectacular builders, and by popular decision, we're having a MOC-OFF!!! *applause*
One of the reasons I took so long was the rules. Because if you know this contest, it can't be a normal one. So onlookers: you'll love to watch this. MOC-Offers: this will truly be out of your comfort zone.
This is how it's going to work: You each will take your opponent's two themes and combine them (Paul's were castle/pirates while Stuart's were steampunk/city). This might work out, like Spastle has, or it might just fail. *gasp*
JUDGES: We wil be judging differently: each judge gets 5 votes. Whichever contestant has the majority of the votes wins. BUT BE CAREFUL: if you and another judge give 3 and 2 on the same contestants and the other gives the other 5, the other will win even without the majority (it would be 6 to 9). It ends when both entries are in.

Something I always forget. It will last until both entries are in.
Er, I'm not too sure that's a good idea. This contest is already a bit long overd-due to wrap-up, and my building speed is absolutely dreadful. I would hate to draw the contest out longer, but if your willing to wait a couple of weeks, then I'm able and willing to put an entry in. Permalink

Hi everyone, I just read this.... very interesting idea, and challenging too! Not quite sure how to tackle it but I'm happy to give it a shot. I agree with Paul though, we should set a deadline. How about 2 weeks from today (by which I mean Feb 15th, 11:59pm, er, not sure which timezone)? Permalink

I'm in full agreement with the time limit. EST is also perfect for me, although it may not be so good for Mr. Lucas, who I believe lives in the UK.
Not a problem - it just means that I have to post before I go to bed on the 15th, since the deadline will pass early in the morning for me. So I think we're on a level playing field. Good luck Paul, I've got a couple of fun ideas and I'm looking forward to seeing what you come up with! Permalink
