When you say "groups", do you mean like teams in the MOCathalon?

I have honestly never built space/spacecraft before. This should be fun!

By cars do you mean the disney movie cars, or just cars in general? Either way this should be interesting.....

I have a few questions about my category. Can I make something like activity on the moon or a different planet or can I just do spacecraft? And can my spacecraft be Star Wars related?

Cars in general.

Well, that makes things easier..... now my theme is just moderately hard.

Anything space, but not from the Star Wars universe (that's another category).

So I could do something on the moon?

Yes you can but as a judge I will be expecting some sort of mode of transportation, be it a rover or a ship or something space-CRAFT.

Actually I realized that the catagory is 'Space/Spacecraft' so it can be a moonbase, a spaceship, anything that can be in space.

I think 8 people should advance, you'd get more head to head competition and more awesome mocs

The point of the contest is to build stuff you usually or never build, hence the name "Out of your comfort zone".

For my category ( military/military vehicles) does it have to be realistic or could it be a fantasy war machine.

It can be made up.

Well city-scape is definitely out of my comfort-zone. Sorry, I've been out of town. Quick question(s): Is city scape pretty much anything "city-like"? And could I possibly do it in micro scale? Because I have a pretty small collection. Also I'd agree with the people pushing for 8 winners instead of 4; it will make things more interesting and give more people a chance at competing. My two cents on the subject, now...to the Lego bins!

Quick question: I got the Castle theme for my building category and I was wondering if I HAVE to build a castle. Am I allowed to build something from the castle realm, like a jousting tournament, dragon battle, or castle village?

I think a city in microscale would be fine.

Hmm. To me I see an actual Castle, But a castle is really the outer walls of a village so I suppose something that would be inside a castle would work. If it's a parts issue you could build the castle in microscale.

Just so you know, I probably won't be able to post my entry, or make one, for that matter. :/ I'm really busy with tons of contests and homework, so don't be surprised if you don't see an entry from me. :/

In landscape, can I make a landscape, but with a funny scene? Such as a hill with a guy kicking a guy in an outhouse down the hill?

Sure! But probably try and make the main part of the creation the landscape.
Just a suggestion. :)

Thanks for getting back to me, Christian! As a heads up, my entry will NOT be a castle, though it is definitely in the castle realm. I should have it up by Friday; that's my only day off of work, so I'll definitely have time to post it.

Aha ok. But I think it should be 1vs1 round because 8 is good number for it..... going to 4 (semifinale) and then 2 (finale).

I know I'm not a judge or Admin, but I'd agree with this elimination process. It wouldn't take that long. Two to three weeks.

That too bad. Stiil, mine only took a couple of days and I'm pretty happy with it. Unfortunately I still haven't got a chance to photograph it, it's too cloudy. Hopefully you have better weather in NZ.

I hope weather will get better there, but if it won´t I think everyone will accept worse quality photos.

Thanks, I have some large lights, so photos would still be pretty good. Hopefully it won't come to that though!
