After several long months of intensive building and stiff competition, I'm proud to announce that the winner of the 2012-13 Middle Earth Lego Olympics has arisen. Congratulations to Jacob Nion for claiming the victory! Jacob will be awarded the Shelob Attacks Lego set and proclaimed "Ring-bearer of the 2012-13 MELO" (a.k.a a title entitling him to lifelong bragging rights)!

Also, congratulations to the other finalist, Martin Geistefeldt, for making it so far!

In addition, I'd like to say a special word of thanks to my judges for devoting time and energy into co-running this contest. Thanks a million guys!

And lastly, thank you everyone who participated! It's been a blast and hopefully we'll see you all back for the next Middle Earth Lego Olympics!

Congratulations, Jacob, on your well-deserved win! In addition, congrats and thank you to Ian and the other judges for their hard work. I enjoyed being a spectator for this competition, and can't wait for more "Middle Earth" fun in the future. Also, I would love to help out with judging in the future, if needed; just let me know, Ian ;)

Thank you all for congratulations. And thanks a million to Ian and Max for the prize! The set arrived this week. Very good idea to order it on the local amazon to spare expensive shipping.
