The contest for March is now closed. I will be posting results quite soon. And might i add that I noticed how there are only two entries; I thing this further suports my notion that everyone's getting a little tired of Heroica and that we should take a couple months break. Permalink
First Place: The Object of Legend with Final Heroica: The First City of Ninjago.
This is a wonderful board, packed with detail in stellar proportions. There are so many things to do here, I would probably stray very far from the main quest. I really like the allies you can get, and all the different areas are really cool. If I were to pick one thing I did not like, however, it would be how crowded it is. I see myself a bull in a china shop with this board. Also, thank you for doing something really cool with the Ninjago story (an otherwise lame story)! Overall, a really nice build with some imaginative rules.
Second Place: Andhe with Heroica: Draida Cove. This is a nice, neat board with some interesting rules and a really cool new weapon. The ship is fantastic, also, as are the quicksand rules. The Relic, however, among all these new and powerful Relics, seems out of place. Although this is made up for by the Goblin Sword. Overall, A good, clean board with some interesting rules.
And that concludes the Sixth Heroica Custom Board Contest. We will be taking a break for the next few months, and I will get back to you on when we will come back. We can continue the side contests, though. Permalink
