Stuff going on:

-Europe is ablaze, with the Merry Band of Cripples trying to make it.

Quoting Danny Morgan these awesome, Sparv-matchable stealth fighters immediately

Three comments. 1) It is indeed an incredible MOC, 2) I wouldn't be surprised if they matched or outdid the Sparvs being used in Europe due to their quality 3) They aren't really stealth due to a) some of the angles involved (especially the intakes and tail) and b) external weapons).
I know this will inevitably start a flame war but it seems to me that all the most notable in the aircraft are deemed stealthy, but in reality only a select few are, like the various flying wings (including Blackfish, Whitefish, etc). I would dare say that none of the conventional fighters in group are true stealth (including my own, so not tooting my own horn). It just bugs me that if it is cool, it is instantly stealthy. I didn't have such an issue with this trend before the extremely dumb stealth is entirely undetectable rule took effect, but since it is the law, these declarations do matter. Thank you for your time.

Yes that rule is getting old. I likely would have not even added internal weapons bays if it wasn't for the "super stealth" rule. Honestly stealth isn't invincible especially yesterday's stealth and even if most of the mocs where looked at closely and were changed to non-stealth, moc-quality would still be the deciding factor in a dog fight.

I'll agree with you on the fact that stealth isn't the deciding factor in a real war. As much money as you pump into making it undetectable to radar, you also have the unfortunate side effect of having to find a way to coordinate all those systems into a cheap airframe. Result: Many modern nation in this group cannot even come CLOSE to owning their claimed number of stealth fighters.

Aleksander has the right idea; taking old, still viable and versatile airframes, upgrading them and adding powerful EW suites to them. Stealth doesn't jam radars, jammers jam radar. A modern AIM-120, PL-12 or R-77 can be easily nullified as a threat if they are jammed.

Ergo, I hang my head in shame that the modern NATO countries insist on buying an expensive, unproven, frankly unreliable fighter jet when their money could be used to jam the possible ICBMs, SAMs and fighter jets the Russians, Iranians or Chinese could launch against them.

Today in Singapore:
- STane Industries unveiled a new battle tank today to replace the aging Leopard SGs
http://www.flickr.com/photos/katon_beanz/7189995541/
This tank, appropriately named the Jaguar, will form the backbone of the armour brigades of the Singaporean Armed Forces and the STane Defence Force. The Fenrir MBTs are in the process of being upgraded. The Jaguar MBT is to enter production immediately.

-Ship losses from battles with India are being accounted for. Reserves are in the process of being pulled out from the RSN reserve fleet and STane Enterprise's naval holdings to backup the current (crippled) fleet.

-Peace talks are underway with India and the Blue Star Union.

-A launch has been scheduled to send 3 satellites in to orbit as part of the STrong Defence Initiative. The launches will take place from a Cosmodrome leased from the Russians.

-A deal has been reached between the Arabians and STane Enterprise's CEO, Anthony Tan, to open commercial business centers in several Arabian cities, as well as open two refineries in Doha and Kuwait.

I was told by the creator that the aircraft in question is stealth and 5th gen, and even if this is not true which it may not be, it seems to match if not out match Blackfish in CRs perhaps due to build quality, so I'm going to produce tons of them for the duration of the war anyway so I am at an obvious advantage.

I'm a bit of an inexperienced and rather poor fighter plane builder myself, so this next observation could be totally inaccurate, but I do think that this group stigma about totally stealthy aircraft may be the last benefitting factor for some perhaps less-than-worthy plane builders looking to compete in this harsh game, especially a particular someone who has pressed the idea of stealth > all on numerous occasions. To be perfectly honest, if the Me.2046 can match the Blackfish and still be considered only 4th or 4.5th gen, I am hugely relieved and have gained faith in this groups ideals.

As a foot note, i believe I confused the names of the Blackfish with the Sparv in my original comment, I meant "awesome, Blackfish-matchable stealth fighters" perhaps minus the "stealth" now

Today, in the Federation...

The admiralty have been alarmed for some time at the tattered state of the Federation's attack submarine fleet. While ballistic missile subs are good strategic deterrence measures, they are valuable, and not to be used in mere counter-sub or fleet warfare maneuvers. The Federation, in concert with E. Ukraine and Turkey will be launching up to 10 new attack submarines of the Iron-Works class variety. On a related note, a number of older and retired vessels are being refurbished and readied. These will be offered for international sale once we get this all figured out.

Training is rigorous and ongoing for the crews of the new carriers coming off the lines. Planes are being manufactured for service. The first all-E.Ukrainian crew will be taking one of the carriers out, still under the Federation flag, however.

Turkey has shifted production from the Su-90 to the MiG-39 to satisfy demands for better munitions capacity and faster speed in its 5th-generation inventory.

That's all for now.

An armoured division and one motor rifle division were again indoctrinated per schedule. This tallies up to 27 000 men and associated equipment joining service out of the 80 000 total told of last report. The conscription notices put out during the last report have been enacted at present to simply restore the numbers lost in our armed ventures at home and abroad and the reserves have been put on standby for deployment.

Also, a formal notice has gone out to the Iberian peoples presently within our occupation areas. The notice dictated that they will not be antagonistically treated during our stay and we welcome them into the Federal Republic as a full member state should the FREE prove victorious in the present theatre. The response has been lukewarm at best in most areas and thus humanitarian distribution of medical supplies and basic foodstuffs to those in need will be coordinated to the fullest extent presently possible. Areas affected by radical cells and so forth attempting to take advantage of the situation shall be undermined with a hearts and mind strategy and armed force via military police should it come to that. More to come later.

When are orders due?

An announcement was made today by the Premier stating that the bombing of the of Ho Chi Minh City was completely necessary and justified. Our high command tells the Vietnamese people that peace will only occur if they lay down their arms and cease all attempts to resist our forces.

Development of a new tactical bomber began today. Hopefully our development team can finish the project within the end of the week.

Finally with the wars in Asia winding down, Operation Lodestone is receiving a commitment of forces of around 20 divisions (200,000 men and machines) from the numerous nations within the PRC.

I read the CRs, you must have mistaken it with another country, because I couldn't find any record of it being invaded since I invaded it. I see no reason why I can't get rid of a somewhat annoying country (not in real life, just for me in this game) in return for production rights. Need I remind you that I am free to do what I want with the countries I rightfully have earned through conquest.

The admiralty announced that our Hawaii naval bases will be reinforced by 3 MEBs and will have an additional CBG. These additions gives our South Pacific Fleet assets which include 8 MEBs, 2 CBGs, a sub squadron, a fleet interdiction group, and a cruiser squadron. This large force will allow us to rightfully project power into a region where we have not really asserted ourselves.

Bangladesh's Congress decided to accept annexation in the PRC. A great parade was held in the capital city of Dhaka. Currently the small military that the country possesses is being reinforced by PLA and Thai forces.

Finally conscription in Japan has taken place and the plan is for at least 300,000 conscripts to reinforce the army of around 70,000.

The point is that you are free to do what you want to do with your countries. It's not trading the country for PRs that we're coughing at.

What's happening here is that you're transferring control of a country that is under attack to the CM that is modding the invasion. Ergo, you're transfer would put it where a combatant is invading the CM. That won't do.

The Emperor is quite pleased with the recent peace accords reached to settle the Spanish conflict, and informed the Roman public of our victory and permanent seizure of the Balaeric Islands from Spain. Most combat troops are now leaving the islands, while engineers, a small defensive garrison, and other support personnel will remain behind to complete the integration of these islands. As usual, families will be offered full, first-class citizenship for sending their children into Roman Agoge training and then military service, and several academies are being set up in the islands to meet this demand. Those who do not, unless specially granted citizenship by the new government for special service to the Roman military during the invasion, will still be offered the standard, second-class legal resident status within the Imperial Republic.

To keep the treaty terms separate and non-confusing, the FREE has additional news. Territory held in Spain shall be organized into a fully organized and represented body and be admitted into the FREE. The same shall be done with our gains in Romania. With that in mind, the FREE's official name shall be transitioned from the Federal Republic of Eastern Europe to the Federal Republic of European Entities, or FREE for short.

Once the other nations confirm the treaty terms, combat troops shall be routed to temporary detail in their appropriated theatres or sent to their home stations. Those staying abroad will train the upcoming batch of natively indoctrinated troops to help defend their home nations.

The Premier announced today that Operation Lodestone was a mission to stop the greatest enemy the world has faced and will ever face, fascism. Our young will be part of a great crusade to end the plague in Europe before it spreads anywhere else in the world. Now, with the war against the Mongolians and Vietnamese winding down, we have the ability to commit fully to the great crusade.

Today, 9 armies of around 900,000 men and machines from Thailand, Korea, and Chine were mobilized and will be boarding trains and aircraft to destinations all around Europe. This will make our commitment a force of 1.4 million men and machines, for a fight against tyranny.

Although we were enemies, the FREE is slightly shocked and saddened to see the Spanish reign dissolved and replaced with a provisional government established by the SEC. At any rate, we welcome the fact that there is now a dual entity in Spain with plenty of future competition to be made; peacefully, of course.

Anyhow, with the recent territories now undergoing free elections to promote local leaders and so forth that will help reconstruct their homelands, the FREE is taking charge of martial matters. The federal military body as a whole is looking at increasing its size with no less than six artillery brigades (roughly 24 000 men and equipment), no less than three mountain infantry divisions (roughly 45 000 men and equipment), no less than three armoured and/or mechanized divisions (roughly 36 000 men and equipment), two airborne divisions (roughly 24 000 men and equipment), and two additional maritime infantry division (roughly 24 000 men and equipment). This is a grand total of about 153 000 new recruits to come into service in the coming weeks. Those men that defected to our cause and did not return to their appropriated countries will be given citizenship into the FREE and allowed to join our armed services as supervising officers to help get the new batch of boots up and running. Of course this is just the expansion notice. We must still recover from the losses suffered from both wars and thus the conscription notices given during the war will take effect to fill these spots. These greenhorns will of course be trained as professional fighters like all others, the only difference being they were never asked if they wanted to fight.

We've also acquired the rights to construct two additional Zheng-class vessels of Chinese origin. Accompanying air wings will also be established to fill the flight decks of the ships.

A force of 4 light infantry divisions was sent to Qinghai province for drills and numerous armored forces went to the Tibet Military district.

Two standard infantry divisions were indoctrinated into service today and will be taking up defensive stations where needed. These men, and associated equipment, are part of the original surge order before our ventures into Spain and Romania. With that said, the original expansion order should be complete within the next two weeks while the recently announced order shall begin its first graduation ceremonies during that time as well.

Also, a new armored transport is under trials at this time. Based off of the KAMAZ Typhoon and Rheinmetall Wisent, it will act as the premier light-heavyweight transit vehicle for our motor rifle divisions. Although true Soviet doctrine holds this role to be filled by BTRs and similar vehicles, such costly machines simply acting as support for a more foot-mobile action station seems outside of efficiency.

The new transport has completed its set of trials with expectations to enter full production within the week. During its prototypical display, eyes were drawn from across the pond. Furthermore, rumor has it that Huta Stalowa Wola, the premier artillery manufacturer in Poland, recently bribed a retired Krauss-Maffei systems designer to help with an artillery system to be implemented on the new truck chassis. These rumors remain unconfirmed, but excitement has been stirred nonetheless.

Also, the territory gained in Romania has elected interim figureheads to operate the Romanian Provisional State. This body will coordinate with the state of W. Ukraine military via the formation of the Black Sea Joint Command which mirrors that of the Baltic States' enforced structure. The provisional government's cabinet will begin reading through a list of names and present candidates for the combined FREE parliament which will be elected into office based upon popular vote.

In Iberia, Portugal and Spain have elected to be represented as two separate states and the decision was given the okay by the combined parliament. However, they will server under the Iberian Joint Command in matters of military service and defense for the sake of simplicity. The citizens of the respective countries have elected full leadership upon use of the emergency voting contingency. The Spanish government is now preparing its list of candidates for the greater parliament; the denizens of the Madrid SEZ will be able to partake in the vote despite their international neutrality. Portugal will follow after the Spanish vote for the sake of orderly transition and to not create too much of a Charlie Foxtrot.

Also, the recent acquisitions of territory touching the Atlantic proper has opened the door for a greater sense of pan-European relations with those states not yet included into larger unions. With that in mind, the governments of Andorra and Lichtenstein have been contacted to join the FREE as SEZs similar to Madrid, Kiev, and Lebanon. They would be able to operate with generalized neutrality, but emergency security rights would be ensured to them all the same. Furthermore, this would enable them more creditors in trying to cope with the declining global consumerism that is likely to be accredited to the vast number of wars and declination of international relations that make the open seas not so open in all reality. More news on this later.

With the war in Vietnam winding down, the forces there can be repositioned to places around the globe. However, there will still be around 300,000 infantry in the country to defeat the insurgency. This frees up about 400,000 troops to be repositioned around the globe, 1/4 of which will be sent to southern command in Hawaii for usage. The rest will likely go to Europe.

With the war in Europe heating up, our forces are entering their highest alert status allowing our forces to be moved much more quickly.

Op. Plan 42 went into action today, it is an addition to Operation Lodestone. For now all that is known is that 800,000 troops mainly 500,000 armored forces are on the move to places around the world.

The surge order has been completed with the last four divisions and two brigades graduating AIT and other associated schools of combat. Three standard infantry divisions, one mountain infantry divisions, one artillery brigade, and one engineering brigade have entered service. The first order of business is to go ahead and assist in reconstructing damaged infrastructure and working with civilians across our southern territories and those of Iberia as ease in their transitions and reaffirm the trust that the federal government will not abandon its people to their fates and trust that their devices alone can help them over whatever losses they have sustained. More or less, this will conclude our increase in production and things will hopefully return to providing a 50/50 balance between consumer goods and martial materials and stabilize the sharp increase in defense spending.

Today, in the Federation...

With the details not presently entirely understood about the situation presenting our nation, the response is clear: the invader must die. Already the Pravda is drilling into the public the need for fortitude and conviction of purpose. Not hard since from childhood most of the civilians have been taught that they are better than all others. The Federation soldier has been taught that he is a one-man division, and a one-regiment army. He is by nature superior and better trained than any other nation's soldiers. Though conscription officially started today, no one has been informed of their induction because facilities are running rampant with volunteers. The strategic oil reserves are being cracked open, and all armored vehicles in storage are being reactivated. The well-trained reservists of all nations in the Federation are being called up, and the civilians are answering the call to the munitions factories.

This morning, the Premier ordered all persons with a Class A card to report to additional aircraft factories and all with a Class B-G cards to vehicle and munitions factories.

To the Islamics now trespassing in our lands: You have come here to die. You will gain nothing but death for your efforts. Beware and tread lightly, if you want us to do the same when it is your lands we are trespassing in. We are civil to foes who are civil, but our capacity for destruction on massive scales is far greater than the weak show you have presented so far. You foes in the past have also been weak, and collapsed easily. We are not so weak. We will watch as your men fall from exhaustion marching in the heat, as your logistics crumble beneath your feat under such a strain of men and machines. We will wait patiently, for time is solidly in our favor. Then, your world will come crashing down around you.

So that's what I came up with for a speech. Not too bad, if you ask me. But, said what I needed it to say, and no one can say they weren't warned...

For this we must do Jihad in the name of Allah and our dear Leader. The Soviets mask their pain with big words but they know they are hurt and they know a real foe is now marching its way through "their" land. The Islamic time is Nigh, for we will reclaim our great Empire and make the soviets fear the very ground they trod.

Aside from the fact that they joined us willingly months ago? Seems fishy. I'm sure the highly vaunted "Moderate" Muslims in Turkey are aghast at your actions and frankly couldn't care less that you're their "Brethren." This is useless, as you and I both know I'm the only one talking for these people, not you. Good luck inciting insurgencies, I've already brought up that point with Cole. Not one of my citizens will be joining your little crusade.

The Soviets mask their pain with big words but they know they are hurt and they know a real foe is now marching its way through "their" land. The Islamic time is Nigh, for we will reclaim our great Empire and make the soviets fear the very ground they trod.

We feel no pain, we fear no evil. Trust me, the Nazis were worse.

No one can, can they, Mr. "Shady deals"? What's the matter, scared you don't have enough hardware? You ought to be.

Whoops, careful Tyler, your hypocrisy is showing a little there. Better cover that up with something. I don't know when this conversation dissolved into this, and because you obviously didn't see it the first time, I'll repeat myself: "I am civil if my enemies are civil." Pretty sure this question will answer itself.

Hey, I have a good idea, let's play a little side game. Let's see who starts slaughtering civilians of whose nation/protectorates first, eh?

Oh, don't say that. Facts only confuse his poor little mind. Things like using weapons that don't exist (magic Agni-Vs that fly on rainbows of happiness all the way from Arabia to New Zealand or "Rods from God" that haven't been developed by anyone IRL or in-group, and of insufficient mass and size to dent a barn door) and pretending to be able to move million-man armies more than 10 miles a day are par for the course for this one. With talk of civilian slaughtering, the FREE has talked with the Lebanese government concerning having the latter's borders open to refugees wishing asylum and escape from the war zone or from warring nations in the region in general. Lebanon has agreed to such and there will be a stark influx of civilian flights and sea vessels coming and going out of the country to remove the refugees from harm and to transport humanitarian aid in the form of medicine, foodstuffs, water, etc. Again, the borders have been opened to all unarmed persons and there is no martial intent behind this decision. We just want more people to increase conscription numbers, I mean, erm . . . Yes.

The BTR-99 will be serving soon in a variant known as the BTR-101 as a tank killer similar to the French AMX-10. Evan is still technically safe from that rule (which states no one player can control the US or an entire continent). Henry controls Hawaii and Tom has Greenland, so even if that giant blob in the center of the N. American proper was gone, it wouldn't all belong to the FRA.

In other news, Andorra and Lichtenstein have agreed to join the FREE as full economic partners and will operate as SEZs with no martial purpose. Of course their respective state taxes will fund a national police service for civilian purposes and monitoring electronic and tactile transactions of large sums and important data. The Chamber of Economics has made reservations for these two new partners to display their data and express concerns.

With that in mind, the FREE has begun an economic revitalization to help recover from recent war debts. Although agreements have been made with large firms for reduced interest rates on loans and such, these do not produce jobs for displaced persons and so forth. Highly robotized factories within the heavy industry category have been offered the promise of bailout funds and starkly reduced taxes in return for introducing more manual labor and creating subsidiaries that focus on civilian and military electronic networking, lightweight communications, and materials experimentation for clothing and vehicles. So far, five large firms in Belarus, Poland, and Ukraine have agreed to such conditions while the Baltic States have offered their financial advisory for the transition and maintenance. This inter-connectivity is what is striven for every day.

So we're gonna finish this war by next Friday (I'll be seeing TDKR that day, and will not be able to do anything other than fanboi). That is, if you're up to it.

My proposal is to keep things moderately simple, as simple as folks such as Evan and Hacker can keep them. Basic orders every day, for a bare-bones CR each day. We know how this is gonna end, let's get it done.

Does everyone feel up to this? I know Evan has a job that impedes him, don't know about anyone else. The level of cares I give about this group are rapidly declining, I just want to build stuff, and I don't want this looming over me all summer.

Although I'm not really involved in this war, I promote this motion so long as the list of deaths and losses actually seem like they'd be reasonable.

Is there any way I can keep sending you similar sized orders as the ones I've already sent you? They've never exceeded 1,000 words, and I understand if this is too much, could at least send you orders up to 500 words long? Only question, is how did British planes attack North America? In order to reach me they would have to launch of a carrier sitting right off my shore, so if that is indeed the case, I'd love to know of it.

And maybe you can have Argentina if you behave.

Sick of it because I honestly don't care what happens any more, and getting 11 sets of orders isn't my definition of fun.

How they reached you? WHOOMP WHOOMP WHOOMP, that's how.

I'd like to hear your definition of behave. Can I roll over, beg? Nay, I cannot. Awe sits in his jungles and his mountains, with impractically large cannons and missiles straight out of a Flash Gordon serial.

Today, in the Federation...

The BDCP received high commendations for their actions in Leonberg, along with their very first unit battle star. Though suffering high casualties, we are proud to have done battle with the foul enemy, and spared nearly 50,000 people from the wrath of the French. Clamorous cheers broke out at word of the good news in the Kremlin, and plenty of vodka was distributed and consumed. A speech from the Premier echoed the sentiments of the entire government: "...Even in this most troubling of times, heroes will arise to touch our hearts in undying ways; especially such men as these." Though high praise indeed to be honored in such a way by the Kremlin, perhaps the most meaningful praise is from one's enemy, and word has been received that the King of France has lauded the actions of these men highly. The Sino-Russian relief column is also to be commended for their actions in the breakthrough to the town.

In the BDCP itself, having acted now for the second time to spare Federation citizens from certain death, has adopted the words from the Premier's speech as their motto: "Heroes Such as These." The Second BDCP Battalion is the one that made the drop, and already hundreds of Federation youngsters have volunteered to fill the ranks of those honored dead. Unusual for civilians, the BDCP operatives lost in Operation Restoration will be buried in the Federation's largest military cemetery with full honors.

Your leaders have helped spark the greatest calamity in nearly a hundred years. These same leaders are now sending you fruitlessly to your deaths. Come quietly and know that you will be met with open arms if no hostilities are demonstrated. However, your fate is Madagascar if your resistance antics continue. Throw down your weapons, and come peacefully. Your nation cannot rebuild without you, do not waste all they you have accomplished for the whims of your Fascist leaders.

What point does this serve? None, since obviously it won't work because evidently all of the OeK is racist, but hey, gotta give it a shot so I can feel better before I must unleash the horrors of Africa upon Europe.

The FREE has announced that it has a super magical anti-radiation shield filled with nuclear and carbon scrubbers to negate fallout and chemical weaponry. We will not be affected by the French's terror tactics that will surely ruin all fresh water and food supplies, not to mention simply breathing in the fallout will slaughter pretty much everyone. Sorry, dudes.

In other words, the whole reactor business holds some very particular and impolite adjectives on my tongue. There's a ban on nuclear weapons, and when you use reactors as such, that ban continues because the side-effects are the same. There needs to be a concise administrative decision on this; and even if that says the reactor explosions stand and pretty much all of Europe is jacked, I won't be listening to said decision.

I know there's been at least one instance where a nuclear vessel was lost and caused some issues, but when an entire nation is set alight, that's vastly different. Granted France is likely to update its reactors and many still have hundreds of service ours, the amount of radiation in the atmosphere would stretch vastly beyond Europe alone. Which is an honest shame considering that if the Axis are defeated, they won't be fully defeated I should hope. Meaning there should be at least some room for them to compete in the future should they keep at least some of their territory, but at this rate Britain and Spain are pretty much out of the game, then Germany and Italy, and of course the OeK, the rest of myself, and Russia. Some of the better or more involved players are automatically out due to tyrannical foresight. I'm not opposed to terror bombings and chemical warfare in the slightest, but this amount of radiation is just too d--n high!

I suggest we stick to our current set of rules for the duration of the war, which does not mention anywhere that one can not realistically destroy their own nuclear reactors. I remember in the war I modded for in the Mediterranean(Daniel VS Cliffe for Morocco) where someone's nuclear powered carrier got blown up, leaking radiation and contaminating a considerable portion of the sea and a major Moroccan port, none of the current band of Allies so much as batted an eyelid at that. Now that it might affect YOUR nations in a bad way, or prevent YOU from gaining France intact, you're suddenly trying to slip in a new rule. If you want to be taken seriously, don't wait until something affects you before taking action against it.

When you blow up all of your reactors, which number like forty-something IIRC, and all, not some but all, of Europe is realistically threatened to be blotted out due to reactors throwing up a dense cloud of deathly particle mass, there should be some sort of rule protecting those players that aren't even involved in the mess that is the European theatre. If the whole matter is attempting to negate France from being a trophy, perhaps a compromise to the matter can be made in which simply dirty bombs or some other RDDs make messes of things. Not as fatal, but surely makes things difficult to maneuver through when you have to keep your NBC kit running and clean.

Admin/Founder/Rule-writer Tom speaking:

An interesting loophole you've tried to squeeze through, but the fact of the matter remains that the act of detonating all French Nuclear reactors has the precise same effects and consequences as just detonating France with a bunch of nuclear bombs. Both acts lead to France being made into a wasteland, a massive cloud of radiation blotting out the sun and eradicating the rest of Europe (allied, axis, or neutral), and causing a lasting change to the global climate that could very well make the entire northern hemisphere unlivable.

So, in effect, because the result is the same, both acts are the same, and the act falls under the same "No Nukes" rule that has always been in place, thus eliminating it from the record-books.

The events are the same. Ergo, both are against the rules. End-of-story.

I have no intention of grabbing France. I'm going to be wallowing in enough debt once this is all said and done that absorbing extra land won't be anywhere near my best interests.

If the damage is confined to France, then that at least spares the event from drastically effecting future gameplay (elsewhere...), although I still frown on the use of nuclear detonation of any type whatsoever.

The Med. incident was never important, because it effected no one. (Cliffe left, and Tyler is the Honeybadger, he don't give a shi+)

Besides that, it was merely a leak, and never fell under the nuclear detonation rule.

France, on the other hand, matters because it effects everyone and, more importantly, the event is representative of an attempt at complete sabotage of in-group gameplay by a small group of two members who can't stand losing without trying to spoil the game for everyone else. I take more offense to that than the possibility of losing France as playable land.

Plus, it was a nuclear detonation, and thusly falls squarely under the 'no-nukes' rule.

You say that like I don't already do that. Why else did I take two weeks on that CR?

And then they're disappointed, and then they cry.

And then they pay taxes and die.

That reminds me. The Pacific Union has formally and directly annexed the State of Amazonas, for more control over it.

Took you long enough.

Now get that ruddy CR done kid.

Waiting on Danny, which should be any minute now... He's narrating his orders via Gmail chat, so I'm not sure precisely when he'll be done.

Today, in the Union...

Former Governor Shelton met with his successor, Governor Brooks, in the PCU capital of Lima, Peru, to discuss the utilization of the 60,000 Marines that have arrived in the Pacific Union today. A defensive role has been discussed, but as we all know: old habits die hard.

I gotta say, it feels good to be back in the Union. :D

In The States...

The King of France and his men were welcomed to Brazil, although with quite an unusual mode of transport. Crowds gathered near the ships to see what was going on, and were pushed back by the MP's from said shipyards. A small welcome ceremony may have taken place.

The French ships are currently in the custody of the United States of South America, and will undergo any repairs deemed necessary. Following that they will be sailed over to meet yonder defectors in the PCU.

Armor designers have been very busy, and a press release of their work is expected within a few days.

it's called a nuke-ban, not a nuclear-ban. I suggest we stick to our current set of rules for the duration of the war, which does not mention anywhere that one can not realistically destroy their own nuclear reactors.

Honestly, if I'd been paying attention I probably would have spoken up then. However, half of the nuke ban deals with fallout, otherwise we'd let hydrogen bombs & missiles through no problem since they have negligible fallout.

In this case, it's bigger, and it's literally game over for half the group whether they were at war or not (Erik, Matt P, Andrew, etc). That's not fair. I don't see a problem with a member cooking off their own reactors to commit suicide, as long as we neglect fallout for the above reason. But it looks like we won't allow that in the future now either.

Doesn't change anything I've done, my reactors are still buried under 40' of earth and reinforced concrete...

Spoil the game? Affect everyone? Didn't you hear, Awe agreed that the radiation would only affect France.

Oh yes, I'm fine with the damage being cordoned to France. The thing I don't enjoy is that this entire incident is representative of you and Nick squeezing your way through a loophole in my rules (a loophole which, by rights, shouldn't exist). I don't like the precedent that sets.

You're the one that couldn't stand losing and had to practically beg your Allies to help you (at least one refused).

Call it what you like, I find having friends who will help me in my time of need to be invaluable.

I remember when I thought I'd be saved from abroad.

Also, it's more like "If I can't have it, no one will!" That's why I destroyed the west coast's industrial base or took it with me, so Evan's conquest would cost more than it gained, at least for the short term. It's a perfectly valid strategy, the Finns did it, the Russians did it, the Germans wanted to do it...

Yes, but the violation and murder of entire cities, the bombing of hospitals, the anthrax attacks, and the complete murder of your entire civilian populace via radiation is something you didn't do.

No, I only burned LA and San Francisco, because I hate California below San Francisco. To be fair, everyone else west of the Rockies hates California too. Just ask Ultra.

Well, at least one person claimed that if we (Axis) had asked him for help first, they'd have been fighting with us right now. No you were just quick to hoard as much support as you can.

By spoil it for everyone else I assume you mean France and I making our countries less desirable places to inhabit? If you mean my Anthrax attacks on America, I'll point out that Evan initiated a mass-slaughter war with me by launching missiles at my civilians. Ultra for example kept the conflict nice and clean, and he didn't get dosed with any sort of biological or chemical weapon... And my reason for destroying hospitals in the Anthrax targeted cities was to maximize the civilian death count by taking away immediate medical help for most.

*Might* have had something to do with the aforementioned party being involved in a war that couldn't spare significant resources elsewhere. Rather glad I settled this up front, in hindsight.

I'm not whining about the civilian deaths from the Brits for the same reason I never whined about the ones Awe inflicted on me: I totally started it.

Sorry about never getting orders in Awe. Had a pile of friends over for a fire and the last few only just left now.

Tis fine. Not like there's anything you have left to do now. The only enemy still remaining is far to the east of your boys.

Yeah, it all got pretty messy. I joined originally to help my friends out against Tom, and then everyone else joined. I, above all, detest surrendering, so I fought a lost war, inflicted as much damage as I could, similar to Awe, except dirtier.

Well that's an incredibly generous offer to the people that probably ruined some of your East Coast cities for the rest of the game... I think Awe deserves it, I don't have any intention of doing anything else for the remainder of the game, I may build a little, but otherwise I'm holding out for the next group. Speaking of which, after Ian has been dealt with, what else is there left for you Allies to do other than turn on eachother? /grin

I'd much rather still have a group of 10-15 or so similarly powerful countries around with lots of action than so many people getting fed up and knocked out.

Actually, on that topic, IDK how much it will do to help, but my giant puppet in South America is something I don't really need. I'm not sure exactly how far it will go to really help y'all, but I'm more then willing to hand it over to one of you if you still wish to play the game.
