Thanks to Phippy and BK for getting the ball rolling on this topic. I think their sentiments are worth repeating here.

I created this group with the intention of it being quite small, just a few friends. It's already much larger than I anticipated, and this brings about the potential for some problems.

Some builders here may not know others very well, or at all. Please be polite to those you don't know so well. Try to keep the smack-talk between friends who will understand the context of the comments and not take offense.

For example, I don't feel like I know Nick Jensen well enough to start calling him names. Brian, on the other hand, I know well enough to call a fat, lazy, unorganized, benighted, trogloditic, pestilential, rim-tugger... and not feel guilty about it. You see?

So let's just keep our heads here (go ahead and say it, Phipson), and weild the smack with some discretion. Right then, now to attend to that Kescenovitz figgy...

I guess this is the same for me even I've been here since July last year. The only thing I really know about some of the people here is that you guys are very well-known builders on MOCpages, so smack-talk about you is hard to do for me.

Brian: I know, I know..."unorganized" was really pushing it. But hey, after that chicken-legs comment it was no holds barred!

JD: You realize after that comment there's no going back, right?

Nick: I know what you mean. There are builders on MOCpages that have been around for ages, and I've never met them or seen their work. It's not a massive site, but still the community is large enough to where you certainly can't know everyone. Of course, now that we've started talking here, I'll recognize your name any time I see it...the first step on your path to the dark side!

Mark: Where should I keep it? The little one I mean (wow, that was tame?)

JD: Nothing like a full out invitation to the smackgrounds. Consider yourself on notice MUHAHAHA!

Nick: Welcome to the party. Though I may let Mark toss the first smack (go on Mark... make the comment... you know you want to).

Meh, I've done nothing to provoke anyone, besides naming an android after Brian K. and then destroying it in swift fashion. BUT I'm relatively unknown, so that's as far as I think I'll go for now.

Indeed I have. In fact I like your...dare I say it...Halo MOCs. You had a Hornet from 3 that was well built, and the life size weapon stuff was nice. I'll have to hit your site and check out the rest. Although, I don't recall too much stuff that was dark side material. I'm mean check out Phippy's site as a basis of comparison...the boy's just SICK! I'm not condoning it, ya know. I'm just sayin'... ;)

It's fun, but the mess that results is hard to clean up, and even harder to explain.

But you can't beat that hands on experience, can ya?

And I can here someone snickering below me...

Actually, I have studied martial arts for most of my adult life (Isshinryu, Kali, and for the last 12 years a form of Silat) but Chris is the real muscle around here. He's had lots of real world combat experience with the waitress at Dunkin Donuts. When she brings him jelly-filled instead of bavarian creme, he's just gets medieval on her $%!.

Yeah, his looks are stunning alright. I wouldn't call them good, but they'll definitely stop someone in their tracks!

And dude, if I could live in Seattle, I would sooooo be there already! I used to get there a couple of times each year. I exhibited in the Seattle Center (same room as the Con) for years, and would visit Quinault Rain Forest annually. But family is here in Indy and it looks like this is where I'll be for quite a while. One of these days, though, I'll get back out there for a visit, and hopefully I can time it to coincide with BrickCon.

*gasp* Did I just read a non smack-related comment from Mark Kelso? Hey guys, I found a soft spot in the martial arts expert!

In all seriousness, that would be cool if you could make it over here sometime. I totally understand about staying where you are. I've always wanted to live in Montana, but can we move there? Nooooo, of course not. =)

Don't count on me being there for a couple years. Just more time for me to collect more pieces and hone my skills. I need to build up my light bley collection. Why did Lego have to switch up the colors on us. All those light grey pieces I have now mean nothing! Also, anyone can talk smack to me. I'll make sure I have a box of tissues ready.

Actually, I like the fact that there are now four kinds of grey instead of two. As someone that's really trying to make my MOC's as realistic looking as possible, a mix of various greys helps.

My biggest problem with the whole issue is that I didn't get back into Lego until after they switched. So my collection of old grey is pathetic. But I can still use it in various places on a MOC to enhance the color variation a bit.

Hey Brad, you do know this isn't fighting right? This is us having fun! That's the point of smacktalk, it's done in fun and we all know where the line is drawn. There are a few people out there who just don't get it (We won't mention any names but Kelso and I know who they are) and are just mean to people but... what Kelso, JD and I do is all for fun. I have (and it pains me so to admit this in public) the utmost respect for Kelso and the others. Oh, and if you think this smack talk is bad, just wait till you're 18 and you can join the "other" group... hehehe.

Now then, Addressing BrickWorld, I do actually have a project underway and I will be bringing it in June. What is it you ask? Not gonna tell ya. Those lucky enough to attend will get the first view then I'll be posting a whole report on the convention and all it's goings on after.

And... yeah, welcome to the group. Now get your smack muscles stretched out and warmed up!

First off, that was a massive comment. Apparently since you can't make anything else big, you just go around making large comments? Yup, that was my first guess.

Second off (or on, I don't know), why'd you have to say we all know where the line is drawn? You just made be scared that I'm gonna cross it, you babbling dunce! Oh no...did I just cross it again?
