Rock. Mainly alternative, indie, classic rock and hard rock, but I like pretty much all kinds of rock(no, Jonas Brothers and those disney kids are NOT rock). I like some techno and synth pop too, but not much...

I also like new age, and a lot instrumental music, like classic and soundtracks. Actually, soundtracks is the one I listen most to.

I *love* heavy music such as Death/Black/Grind Metal, some examples: Vader,Krisiun, Amon Amarth, Dark Funeral, Darzamat, Cannibal Corpse, Behemoth, Slayer(FTW), Deicide. I bet you didn't knew no-one of those bands ;P But sometimes I listen to some old school trash&heavy like Metallica, Iron Maiden...

Some of my favourite bands and musicians: Radiohead, Pink Floyd, Muse, The Beatles, Arctic Monkeys, Led Zeppelin, Queens of the Stone Age, Bob Dylan, Smashing Pumpkins, and so on...

On the soundtrack category, here they are: John Williams, Hans Zimmer, Ennio Morricone, Danny Elfman, Clint Mansell, Michael Giacchino, ... (I would say Howard Shore too, but I don't know many of his work besides Lord of the Rings...)

In the clasiscal zone, pretty much all. My favourites gotta be Mozart, Tchaikovsky, Beethoven, Bach, Strauss, Vivaldi, Grieg and Wagner.

lets see I like quite a few bands: The protomen, they put an awesome story behind megaman which drove me to make my blue bomber moc
streetlight manifesto, a incredibly good ska and with a great songs and a brassy sound.
sabaton, so @#%$ing metal.
apocalitica, very good metal with chellos.
jonathan coulton, funny in a very nerdy way
I like green day
my chemical romance, punk to the core
queen, derp
the minibosses, they're good.
I like several other bands that's all I can think of off the top of my head.

Electro house! And prog house. And a tad bit of dubstep, as long as it's not too annoying.
Wolfgang Gartner + Zedd are two of my faves.

I also like indie rock, living in Canada it is very easy to find good indie bands. Some of my favourites are Wolf Parade, Interpol. Okkervil River, Passwords, stuff like that. Cat stevens is amazing too and I like Mark Ronson's work - it's pretty poppy, but quite good.
