Well,they were instructed to do so.I guess real life and time are on the way of that.Some of them live in different places other than america(the continent).Take Chris for example,he lives on New Zealand,so he's probably sleeping right now.I'm sure all of them are going to do their best to help things move along!

I just got 1 question. The whole Judging process will only be focused on the MOC right? Like you judges won't also judge on a story or anything similar to that is what I mean.

Yes, the judging will be focused on the moc, but presentation and a little background story will help too. The only time we will focus judging on a story is if a lengthy story is what we ask for :)

Not 100% sure what you mean. Are you asking what kind of creations you will have to build once the contest starts? If so, the themes will be decided by the admins in a private group and then a judge will create the topic thread.

There is no way of knowing what the themes will be, but the first few will be something easy like toa/matoran, rahi etc and later on we will go into titans, vehicles, structures and so on.

Of course! Both are pratically the same (the same counts for technic parts)... The only restriction is about system pieces, wich are allowed, but might be kept to a minimum.

Ummm, that depends. It really shouldn't affect things too much because only the 'entry round' or 'free theme' will be running. As long as you can get a moc of some sort in, you should be fine :)
After all, there is no battling in the first round, that round is what we use to pair others up.

7:30pm is about 1:30pm NZ time, so usually I'm at the office by then, unreachable to an extent anyways. As I mentioned earlier, after the 15th I'll be on holiday up to August the 3rd, so my activity here will be even less. First of all, read the general rules in the group description. After it, go to the eliminaories topic, where the theme and round rules are explained. Them make your entry and post it in the group and the assigned topic. And last, but not less important: have fun.

Any other doubt ask here.

If its a completely new MOC, yes. If not, well... no. Anyway, you gotta ask yourself if that particular MOC would fit the theme.

Ok I just realized a slight problem. On the 22 of July I'll be leaving on vacation and won't be back for a about 9 days, so here is my question. will i have to drop out? Or is it possible i could get the entry done for that week before it's due (you give me the topic)? Truthfully, i want to have fun and participate, but i do not want to delay or ruin this contest. If you can't do anything, I'll drop out, it's ok. Sorry to bother you guys.

The eliminatories end in a week but is subject to change. The contest's end date could vary, depending on how many people enter.

There have been similar problems in other contests, but this is a bit less formal, I thnk we will be able to work a way around that. You should focus on passing the eliminatories for now.

I don't think that would be fair to the other contestants because the second time around the judges have already told you what to improve on... so I would say no, check with the other judges though, they may have a different opinion.

I don't think so. If it don't fit the rules, I think it can be changed in some rare special cases (that would be only in the case of replacing non-allowed parts, but in this case we wouldn't even judge it, and the changing might have to be restricted to the replacement fo those parts alone). So, I would say that if you have already been judged, them you can't change it.

Anyway, this is my opinion, we gotta have an agreement between the jdges before stating anything for sure. You guys enjoy this first round, because its still the adaptation phase, so we may be a bit more tolerant...But don't abuse.

hello i was wondering i entered my moc Grimblade master of doom and one of the judges brought to my attention that his mask was custom colored with sharpy. He told me to change it but the moc needs the current mask and i dont have another non sharpied version of that mask. i was wondering since the whole mask wasn't altered and its only one tiny part if i could still use it in the qualifying rounds?

Sorry, but if we allowed one contestant to edit his entry after judging, we should allow all of you to do the same.
I'd hate to lose a great contestant such as yourself, but rules are only fair if they apply to everyone, I'm sure you understand that.

Is there a limit on how many System pieces we can put into our moc? I know that in the rules it states that we should keep System parts to a minimum, but the only thing that has been bugging me about that rule is if there is a limit. That is kind of my only way of bulking my entry up. I don't have the most Bionicle pieces.

@Kyle and Raviel: I would say yur mOc should be at around 70%-80% bionicle, at least. There's not a real limit,you know, it's all about keeping it to a minimum. Go for what your good sense tell you...

This will depend of what days you'll be out. The themes are supposd to be given by the end of the week,mostly in the saturdays, so if you be able to acces this days, would be good.Depends of how much time you'll be out too.

Well,we're going to D.C. at the end of July so that's Sunday.I'll be out for a week so I'll come back next Sunday.I was just thinking that because Berial annouced the topic Monday so it the topic and the winners would be released next Monday and if we keep doing that,then I wouldn't have time for it.Overall,is it going to be Saturday or Monday?

In this first round,your moc can be anything you interprete from the theme.In the next few rounds,things will be more specific.Just read all rules,they are very clear about that.Prizes are still being decided,but as I said,you always have bragging rights!

I'm sorry, that has been asked before and the answer's no. It was decided because you would have aleady been told what you need to improve on by the judges, and that would be unfair for the other contestants. Don't stress though, at this rate it is possible that very few people will end up being cut from the contest.

You should wait for the results of the first round,that will most probably be up at tuesday,even though we judges will have a handful of work to do until then.
When they're up,be sure to check it back here and se if you made it to the next and second round,and also what theme and opponent will be assigned to you,if,of course,you make it.

I was building my first Titan for my self-moc's story and I was wondering, could I use him as my first entry? The possible problem is that he is my own take on a canon Bionicle character. But one of those that most people would probably have never heard of. Exactly how many "judges" doing scoring are there? 5 or 6? I know there are 6 admin people, but are they all scoring? Does everyone get 5 or 6 scores? If everyone gets 5 scores...might everyone be scored by a different set of 5?

Originally there was five because we were not sure if Harvey would be able to judge but after we had created the contest it turns out he could after all. So, yes, all admins are judges.

Righto I'm not sure what the average points given out per Moc have been but I got a score of 34/60 which I saw why but I noticed that there are 115 members in the group 109 when you take out the judges but only 47 entries. So going by that I'm assuming that unless another 17 entries are posted by the 18th then it will be culled to 32 people. Anywho I was wondering how 34/60 would compare to others so far in the competition and what the likeliness of getting through would be?

We may make an extension to save the hassle of choosing but otherwise, yes. I think it's safe to say that the average score given by judges is around a 6, so that's 36. Close enough to your score; chances are you'll make it through, but I’m not making any promises.

I already judged yours days ago. Be patient as some judges like to judge entries by the group. For me it takes me at around average 5 mins to judge and comment on all entry. Multiply that by a possible 50 to 60 entries and your looking at 4 to 5 hours of judging. So it does take a lot of effort on our part also.

Just imagine how a Toa would see or imagine the incarnation of Death. Since for mankind it has the form of a human skeleton in a black cape, the Toa version should also be Toa-like in a way (this round's theme is Toa, after all) other than that, it's all in your hands.

He has to be a Toa that turned to the evil side.The story is not really the important here,we only care about the build,design,presentation,etc.More techinical aspects you see.But if you add a nice story to him,who knows,it my get you some points.

What a pity,you even were one the first few to be invited!It would be great to have you as a contestant,but I really don't see how could you step in at this point of the contest.I'm sure you would've passed through the first round,but now,well,the first round has already passed you,hehehe...
Perhaps if we have some sort of W.O. I think you could step in,but even then,we still have the contestants that joined the first round but didn't qualify to the second,so they would have to be our first pick.
