He might have a slower computer which makes it take a while to load though. Mine does that.

Don't you hate it when you order from Bricklink and they send you Mega Bloks? Grr...

Scrolling up on a iPhone is fine because you can just touch the top of the screen, and it will take you up. They need to add an update where you can do the same for scrolling down!

Wait, someone sent you Mega Blocks? I think they should write a note saying they are Mega Blocks.

I would send them back and ask for a refund, frankly. It says on the Bricklink homepage "Unofficial Lego Marketplace," not "Poor quality unimaginative rip-off selling point."

http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/71rqzGpTTTL._SX522_.jpg Yep, very unimaginative.

When I was littler, I told my mother I wanted to be a LEGO designer when I grow up, and she replied "They'll have computers do all the designing by then." I was thinking that computers wouldn't be able to make decisions like a human can on which way to be more accurate, and would just design like 3 specialized parts built to the exact shape of the real thing, and this was exactly what I was thinking of.

I got the issue resolved. He's refunding me $1 for the 7 pieces. Really stinks, though, because I'm going to make another BL order, and you guys know how much my parents hate it when I do....
so...yeah. I'm probably not going to have two cars finished before school starts.

Good :-)

My parents are okay with me getting BL orders, as long as it's out of my own money and it doesn't end up on the floor... I'm surprised it still hurts there feet, it doesn't hurt mine anymore...

It's okay, take your time, but not too much of your time ;)

There is no way I'll be completing a car (in real bricks) before school starts, I need BL orders and i haven't made any, while for me school starts on Wednesday...

I can also relate to the school sentiment! XD I recently ordered a whole boatload of parts assuming they'd have arrived last week... but they didn't. So I've got a week to finish up all my WIP's before college!

Honestly I have no idea! During cyber high-school I had tons and tons of free time, and everyone else I knew said high-school was really busy for them. So maybe college will be the same way, but I have a feeling I'll be busy studying...things...about stuff.

I hope you get some. Will you be going to a close college and stay at your house, or a farther away one and have to move into a dorm?

Hello All

Being part of such a caring and vibrant online community has for me been the best thing about MOCpages (and Flickr) : )

It's been 5 years and I've decided to take a bit more of a back seat here than I have previously. This is simply because LEGO isn't really in my top few things, but the more the community has grown the more time it's taking up, and maybe now it's a little disproportionate for me. Perhaps there are some more meaningful things I could do with my time that can help in my real life community vs. this online one.

Not that this community is a bad thing; it's a brilliant awesome wonderful thing, where people form all ages, backgrounds and countries have come together. But I have been quite heavily involved (for better or worse!) in a few parts of it and it's time for me to take a step back and let some newer builders step up, and that feels good to say : )

So this isn't an 'I'm leaving' cry for attention (Ergh those MOCs annoy me!!), as I'm not leaving and nor am I important enough to warrant one, but also I didn't want to scale back my activity with out saying thank you : ) and letting you know, as when other builders have become quieter/less active without saying anything I've always wondered why!

So I've frozen the Rod Club and V8, which is where I started out, and I won't be as active here or commenting on your MOCs (apart from the Custom Cars 2nd Contest which I was asked to judge) as I used to be.

I hope this doesn't come across self-important or anything, it's not meant to, but for some of you we've been building here for years and it wouldn't be right for me to step back without saying thank you. You all know who you are : )

Ape

Hi Ape, sorry to hear that you will be less active but real life must come first and i completely understand your decision. I too have been struggling to keep up with the more social element of our hobby (i.e. groups and contests etc) and have prioritised building - as this is really why we are all here. I really hope you still manage to post a creation or two and of course I hope you can make STEAM. I have had my Brickish membership approved!! Yay! Good luck buddy and talk soon.

Hi Jet

Welcome to CRTs. You can add it to the pool however it won't qualify for the group homepage, as it's for 50s-70s vehicles. There are Rally Car and 80s groups on MOCpages though.

All you have to do is state you wish to start a team, which you've done here, and we'll do the rest : )

Well, I hope our html man Malte Dorowski will but if he doesn't check in for a while I'll do it. I'm not really active on MOCpages anymore so if anyone is reading this and is more active than me (and can html) please feel free to step in!

Finally, please check your vehicles / projects comply with the group rules (see the homepage for these).

Hello Greg.

Yes, although did March have a 'March' team, or did they simply build cars for other teams to run? If they were a chassis builder you'll need to pick a team that used to run March cars (or any cars!), or if March had their own 'works' team we're good to go with that too.

There was a factory team and private chassis.
The factory team was STP march then BETA (tools) March.

After a period of slumber (following a period of much activity!) CRT's has quietly reached over 70 members and over 100 vehicles (with a few non-compliant ones removed).

Welcome to our new members - this group is now much much quieter than it was at its peak but we're still here to cater for your classic racing MOCs : )
