IAE Technology
 Group admin
I've decided to make a thread for the public about the IAE's technology and I will periodically update it with more information but if any of you have questions feel free to ask.

SPACE:
>Defense- my ships defense is comprised of 3 things. The first is Shield technology, their are two types of shield technology in the IAE, PSS (Physical Suppression Shield) and ESS (Energy Suppression Shield) I am sure you can guess what shield does what but i also want to clarify that these shields don't completely block attacks unless they are weak, they suppress them which means they spread it out evenly across the mainframe and the excess does damage to the ship. Also a recent development in technology allows the the vessel to "absorb" part of the excess energy (currently up to 52%) and charge the vessels batteries with it. Only one vessel currently has this equipped, the Destroyer, and it is highly experimental.

>Defense(cont.)- the 2nd defense mechanism is Armor, Yes good old fashion armor, but its made of synthetic materials which makes it incredibly strong, more specifically it is ACNT (Advanced Carbon Nanotube Technology) which essentially is the same as carbon tubing except that it has structural re-enforcers within the tube to make it invulnerable to compression.

>Defense(cont.)- The 3rd and final defense mechanism currently is the ships ATRAT (Advanced Threat Reconnaissance and Analytical Technology) which basically is a component of the ships internal computer that also includes the ships advanced sensors and it has alarms for certain events, most notably the Impact Alarm, which sounds when a imminent shot on the vessel is detected (generally out of the blue).

Alright this is going to describe what my ship functions are, also keep in mind that all of these are directly in proportion to each other except for the scanner pod. You can see my mini versions of them here:http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/100971
>Battleship- Backbone of IAE forces, very powerful all around.
>Destroyer- New and experimental design, focusing on defense but still sports a good offense (some think it will replace Battleship)
>Enforcer- General troop carrier and is capable of landing on a planet (which no other ships currently can)
>Carrier- General droid fighter carrier.
>Bomber- Fast agile and packs a punch but is easy to kill.
>Battle Cruiser- All around support ship for IAE. Good for exploring and carrying ambassadors and such.
>Gunship- Designed to have a very low profile and have lots and lots of guns and is primarily used to defend SLI's of other ships as it is impervious to energy based weaponry and has a pretty good PSS (lacks armor) as well.
>Support Frigate- Primarily used to fend off massive amounts of droid fighters and is completely autonomous or controlled by another ship.
>SLI- Used to drop IAE-ADT's to the planets surface to invade the planet, and to launch IAE-AMT's.
>Scanner pod- Used to scout and is only 6ft wide.

Alright, just so no one gets confused I have changed ACTT (Advanced Carbon Tubing Technology) to ACNT (Advanced Carbon Nanotube Technology). They are the same thing its just that ACNT is a more accurate name.

>Weapon Technology-(such as in the MAR-III) It is primarily energy based, and furthermore is based on the theory that only a certain amount of energy can be stored in a single place ant a single time and if it reaches this critical amount then it explodes, but if contained it turns into a deadly projectile of pure and raw energy that can cut through most substances.
