I like your thinking! Marendar would make any story epic! But I think it's possible it could come back, for example, the Johnny Thunder series stopped for a while and then returned for a year, so maybe the same could happen with Bionicle? Still, if it does come back I hope the Storyline revolves around Marendar!

If bionicle returns, they may possibly make sets which has some hero factory pieces like the ball joint armour and the head will put in a different style Permalink | June 18, 2011, 1:48 am |

I believe Bionicle will return it’s just going to take a few years, because (as stated on another website I forget which one) Bionicle just needed a break. I mean the stories been going for almost 10 years; so after a few years of hero factory, maybe even other brands, Bionicle might return. It just needed a break, so that when(or if) it returns, it will be released to a new generation of children of kids who have never even heard of Bionicle, and the Lego company will make as much money as it did when they were first released and able to fund it for maybe even 10 more years.
Makes total sense, I agree with you on all of that! But what do you think the Storyline will be if/when it returns? Permalink | June 18, 2011, 1:59 am |

would be funny if the twist to the bionicle storyline is as the inhabitants on Spherus Magna come closer to the truth its all revealed that the Great Beings are actually humans (MOCists) who created all of the bionicle universe and its storyline Permalink | June 18, 2011, 2:04 am |

Well actually when you think about it the Great being couldn't be humans, just look at what we know about them so far: one of them is currently living inside of a inhabitant of the matoran universe, one of them has already been met by Vezon, Miserix, Axonn, Brutaka, Artakha, Lewa Nuva, Helryx, Tuyet, Kapura, and Hafu and nobody reacted to his appearance, and not metion their all-powerful beings who live in a world filled with biomechanicle beings and creatures, so from that we can pretty much sum up that they're most likely not human.
im just saying it would be funny if they were but clearly they arent Permalink | June 18, 2011, 2:28 am |

I'm kinda going against everyone here, when I say I would like to see some classic stuff...
Metru Nui, or the Dark Hunters for example.
I love the classic stuff, call me an old-timer, I don't care. I never got any of that sortof stuff, so to see it return in my prime of building would be great.
I'm not really a fan of Hero Factory, either. I can't wait until the new ones come out though, has anyone else SEEN the new Witch Doctor set to be released?!? I am going to beg and beg my parents rto be allowed to get that.

Heh, I hope the LEGO company notices my Great Beings and incorporate it in their storyline if they return Bionicle. (Not gonna happen. The finding out about my Great Beings thing, not about the returning Bionicle thing. :P). If LEGO returns Bionicle, I hope they can return old sets with they same color schemes, masks, etc. but with a completely different concept. Imagine Tahu bulked up by the LEGO company with new designs and builds. That would be nice. Permalink | June 18, 2011, 11:26 pm |

I sincerely doubt it. 10 years is really how long a kids' franchise can last - after that, kids who started with it from the beginning (like me) end up being "too old" for it. Well, about 99% of us anyway. After that, LEGO needed to start somethign new to appeal to the next 10 years of kids. Harry Potter is ending in a similar fashion. I'm pretty certain HF is set to last 5 years (the names of the next 3 series' characters have already been leaked). After that, who knows?
What I am fairly hopeful for is that BIONICLE will make a comeback into the media and the Big Screen the same way Transformers did when Michael Bay got his hands on it. People who were fans of it as kids were the ones working on the movie, and it was awesome. And THEN there will be toys and merchandise and all that jazz. It has a rich, vibrant storyline which I doubt will be forgotten for long. Permalink | June 19, 2011, 7:27 am |

I agree. There was a whole article about it on BZPower. Something abot Bionicle not having the 'it' factor anymore.
It may come back in 7 years anyways. Also, how the heck has Power Rangers/Super Sentai lasted so long?! Permalink | June 19, 2011, 12:32 pm |

I guess now that you say that, it does make sense :/ Still I agree with you, if Michael Bay did make a movie out of it, it could be the next transformers :D Still, when you said HF needed to come out to appeal to the next generation, maybe bionicle could return for a future generation no? Still, as unlikely as it sounds, it could do a Harry Potter or a Johnny Thunder, we never know! Permalink | June 19, 2011, 7:25 pm |

uhhhggggg.....BIONICLE must return, even if our generation must step up to the plate. there are so many videos on you tube with Bionicle and people are saying things like: the real heroes are Bionicle! HF stinks Bionicle come back! etc.
