Brick Forge and other "non-lego" parts...
Join to comment
So...if I had Brick Forge parts or some older "bricks" from another "manufacturer" used in the MOC, would that be just awful or is this more a "don't ask, don't tell" kind of thing? I use mostly real Lego only but do have a small percentage of mega blocks. They are 2x4s and such and really make no difference in the building of a MOC. What say you?

I don't use megablocks because they don't fit well. As for other things, bring them on. Check my Heresy folder to see some of the non-LEGO I have adapted to LEGO purposes.

I had an Enterprise D that broke so I use the megablock from that. It dosen't really matter. The creations matter

I think using Mega-Blocks is OK, even though I really don't like them. I would never use a mega block if I wanted a creation to be good for 2 reasons:1 The colour is slightly different, making it look quite ugly and crude.
2 The connections aren't NEARLY as good.

I don't mind the usage of Brick Forge peices, however, I do not believe bending, cutting, and paining LEGO pieces is acceptable, we are supposed to work with what the LEGO company(or other companies) give us, also it requires more skill to still make a creation good without bending, and otherwise despoiling LEGO bricks.
