Does Anyone remember what their first lego set ever was? Whether it be space or not:
My First Lego set was a Lego City Fire Station and a smaller Fast Attack Fire Fighter, which I got for my 4th Birthday :)

My first Lego set was actually a Space set: The Space Probe Launcher 6870 (http://www.brickset.com/detail/?Set=6870-1).

I often keep a copy built and sitting on my shelf or desk to remind me of the set that started it all for me.

The first set I remember getting was the Mega Core Magnetizer (http://brickset.com/detail/?Set=6989-1). I was six or seven and just barely able to follow the instructions all the way through. It was an absolute blast!

Fix'd. So I can hire your lego? What do you have?
I'm a little short on tan tiles, so I'd like to hire a couple hundred for starters. I would also like to hire some grey 1x6, 1x3 and 1x1 bricks. New light grey, mind you.

Oh, gosh…… memories, memories…

My first set (I think) was this devilish dude on a black dragon. I still have the dragon, and I see the evil face now and again, and perhaps the flame that came with it.

Of course, my first ENCOUNTER with legos was at a yardsale. The heat was intense, everything seemed to be tinted yellow by it, and I got a shoebox full of pirates, knights, a couple horses, multiple brick-oriented legos, and… yeah. *cough cough* the people in charge accidentally put Tyco stuff in too *cough cough*

I was, like, 5 or so.

Well now, THIS is weird.

I went to brickset.com, where you can find almost ANY set.

I search "dragon," and I found a match! But, while I do remember the dragon having trans-red wings and the horns on the helmet of the rider, I do NOT remember a helmet, or a shield, or an axe.

Guess I was clumsy as a kid.

Edit: Throughout my bins of legos I've sometimes spotted the helmet horns; I do not remember them from the set though.

That was one of my first sets also. But my real first set was the little Oil company guys in a blue truck, I think that that #1 car and that set were part of the same line up.

However, the first encounter was when I was two, I went to MC-Donalds and they had legos, so I got some as a toy. I think the first I got was a little car, and I still see some of the pieces around my house every now and then.

7942 Off-Road Fire Rescue
Year: 2007

Purchased at age 43 to try teach myself stop motion animation so I could teach it to my students. It is the set that started it all for me, anyway. I didn't have Lego as a kid, which means I was a deprived child.

Probably Duplo, but my first real LEGO set might have been the Planetary Defender or Planet Defender (something like that) from the Life on Mars sets. I might have had the scout mech too, but there's no trace of it. I bought another Life on Mars alien scout mech from a hobby store out of sentimentality.

My first lego set was that blue alien mecha that was part of the original mars mission sets. Every now and then I find a part or two that went to it, but most of them were sold in a recent yard sale. That might explain why I can't find any of my old cockpit canopies...

I can't really recall my first Lego set, but I got http://guide.lugnet.com/set/1843_1 this set (actually part of a http://guide.lugnet.com/set/1843_2 Space/Castle Combo) for Christmas one year. The hinged wings were the inspiration for my http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/33368 Fire Blossom, a MOC which I am quite fond of and will likely never disassemble.

Yeah, it was the old police car and a police bike. I don't remember the number n the box, but the bike had a little plastic windshield. It looked more like a Vespa than a Harley, though. I made those according to the instructions, but that was the last time I did so. I didn't like the houses at all so I designed my own, buying one or two kits every payday and before I knew it, I had a thriving metropolis on two folding tables in my bedroom. Ah, those were the days. (1976, by the way.)

Just screwing with you man, I figured I'd poke some holes in something today..and yours was the first to have at least 2 spelling mistakes, sorry mate.
BUT, if it's some comfort it's not the last one.
There are a whole bunch of people who I see with those spelling mistakes, easy to make, and easy to miss...unless you are a grammar nazi like me.
Don't feel bad about it mate, I'm just bored.

Knowing how to spell is one thing, knowing the words use and it's grammatical implications is another.
Witch: A female demoness, usually depicted as a woman on a broomstick, also referred to as a woman with magical powers. "Witchcraft"
Not used in any part of grammar except as a name.
Which: "Which item is that used in?" This is the word you look for, your computer does not pick grammar error and incorrect words.
Therefore there is restraint on your own part.
Also, after a Comma or a Full-stop if there is a word after, such as a new sentence or in a comma's place a continuation of the sentence a SPACE is to be used after the unit is used.

Quick year 2 spelling lesson for those interested. :-)

It was such a cool set that little digger. I actually used one of the digger shovels as part of the SNOT build of my recent Vic Viper (http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/314311) - its tucked away at the back, you can see the ball attachment in the front-on profile. My first wasn't a set but a collection of basic bricks back in the mid-70s. I remember it had 3 of those 8X16 green bricks (not plates). I remember building pyramids with 1X1 bricks as people. Micro civilizations.

I remember for a couple years after, I kept receiving basic bricks from everyone, maybe a set or two, nothing bigger than pocket change size. But Christmas '79 I got the Galaxy Explorer.

I think the first major purchase by me was the Technic Auto Chassis, with the red seats and grey, blocky front end. Saved up for a whole year.

Still have all my instructions neatly filed in a bulging cabinet. I can build most of the stuff from memory. Yet I can't remember what I needed from the garage. Priorities, maybe senility. ;)
