I certainly hope starwars doesn't count, as the last thing this group needs is to be flooded with 'clond commder kodys'. You starwars lovers are like a chinese factory; you make lots and lots of quantity(garbage) but very little quality(which is what this group is for).

Yes, the swarm of clonewars fanboys with their own customized sig-fig ARC commando/commanders are extremely annoying.

Star Wars is certainly not space. When I think of space, I think of Homeworld's combination of stellar ship designs and militaristic realism as opposed to the flashy and stupid Clone Wars vehicles.

Areesta, stop being so condescending.

Frankly, he's asking for it. Admitting a liking for starwars is one thing, but look at him: he calls himself an 'Elite Commando Honor Elite Twelve', he has a painted clone with a cut, painted helm and he can't even spell.

Also, by his own admission, he is young enough to have his computer access blocked by parental influence. I know this because he complained about it on his homepage, and people mature enough to be constructive members of online communities do not complain about such things; they leave them unsaid and get over them.

Okay. Please stop griping about it. Let it go so we can go on with a very interesting, un-insulting conversation. Breathe in. Breathe out.

It is spelled breathe. To breathe is the act of opening your mouth and suck in air; a breath is what you get when you do that.

Then there should be rules for this group so you can't just post a random MOC having nothing to do with what the group is about!

Rules would stop nothing. If they don't read the conversations, chances are they didn't read the rules either.

Well then they would be kicked out then wouldn't they?
| January 3, 2009, 11:20 pm
Quite unlikely. Sean would probably just say 'Well, starwars is space, isn't it?' and let it go. I'm pretty sure we are supposed to moderate such things ourselves; you will notice that Nannan Z is an admin, along with Sean. It really depends on what Nannan thinks. Feel free to ask the master of ugly-creepy when he decloaks.
| January 4, 2009, 12:01 am
Well hopefully Sean wouldn't let it slide if the rules to join said
NO STAR WARS MOCS
and someone posted a Star Wars MOC.

Master of ugly-creepy? Decloak?
What the heck are you talking about?

Go have a look at some of Nannans stuff and you will agree his work is more than a little ugly-creepy. By 'decloak' I mean that he is a moderator in this group but he hasn't posted anything.

While I agree that some of his work is creepy, it is also incredibly detailed, thoughtful, and just downright cool.

I don't know why he hasn't posted yet though.

Does anyone else want to join in on this conversation? Anyone?

Nannan's work isn't creepy. It's just a different outlook on life, with epic winnage and Legos along the way.

You're saying that a "Killer Bunny" isn't creepy in the least?

A quick question: are the visor pieces from the new starwars battlepack compatible with normal helmets? That is to say, can they be used as standard visors or are they limited to being used as clone commander eyeshades?
| January 25, 2009, 2:32 am
Quoting Xiazeran .

Negatory.. but they're plume compatable. If you try to use it on anything other than one of those clone things, it'll probably break. Unless, that is, you could find a castle helmet that magically fits it, but that'd probably look wierd.

I tried to use them on those dino attack helmets. They kind of fit, but they will fall off as soon as you pick the figure up.

Seriously, Lego should have made those little components compatible with normal helmets. You can't use all of those things at once, so they are practically useless.

Is anyone here familiar with Moko?

Are you wondering where I am going with this?

Ah, well, from the looks of it, it'll be a while before you'll have to worry about details. But it's good that you're building something that big! I wouldn't have the patience to build something like that. I can't wait to see where you'll take it from its current state.

By the way, if you want to confuse a lot of star wars fans, rename it "Lucid Voice." And if ANYONE knows what that is, then say it. Say it, or I'll say it for you!

If anyone has ever had the patience to read the star wars incredible cross sections books, it mentions "Lucid Voice" as being the sister ship to the Invisible Hand. While I'm not a total star wars fanatic, it would be funny to see how many confused remarks you get when it's finished.

Nah, the second pic is a starwars spoof, also from Moko, of a... whatsisname? The clone commander with all the orange.. Cody, wasn't it? Anyway, Clone Commander Cody with a pink frilly dress and a fairy wand.

The flaming I expect is from all the starwars kiddies who click on the link and are unpleasantly surprised.

Well, yes, I suppose. When you warn someone about something, it usually makes them focus on it. Then the urge to look upon it slowly eats at their reserve, until they must look. Then, of course, they burn their eyes out for looking.

| February 9, 2009, 6:54 pm
Yes... it's a well known psycological trait.
If you tell someone not to look at something or not to do something, they'll do it anyway.
In fact, if warned against it, they will be even more likely to go for it.

Example: a test. Do not think of a white bear. Whenever you think of a white bear, you have failed.

Also, you lost The Game.
| February 9, 2009, 7:50 pm
Excellent example. There is, to say, no choice, for when you look at the words "white bear," your train of thought has already deciphered the meaning of the phrase. It's a classic snare trap of psychology.

Quick interuption: I have recently tried to upload a Moc today. When I got ready to upload the whole thing, words and all, the website requested identification confirmation. I placed my password in, and the thing erased all of my work! I know I already logged in that day as well.

Is there any way I can prevent this?

You may now resume.

Karta: with regards to 'hai, u dint clik nuttink, ima goe log u out naow' mocpages logs you out, in a way, if you do not click a link every now or then.
You cannot fix it, it's hardcoded so peoples idjit little sisters cannae make them say nasty stuff.

Do what I do: finish the page, then click 'You', the link on the top between 'Home' and 'Explore'.

Then click 'New Page'. It will demand you log on, you do that, and then you should save the one you were working on.

Alright, thanks for the tip. I'll try that, BUT it will have to be tomorrow, because I'm tired of messing with it today.

A cool, random, thing happened today. I was placing my AXS1 into a position of which I could get optimal lighting, when it fell off of the stand I was using. The last time it did this, the SNOT parts fell off upon impact. This time, however, they stuck in place.

After a quick check, I observed that there was a considerable amount of "friction" between the studs and their adjacent parts. It took a bit more strength than I expected to pull the model apart. I concluded that, after two days of being assembled, a model's parts become set in. Thus, we have a stronger model.

Hmmm, it's quite apparent that I'm bored out of my skull. Has anyone else experienced this phenomenon?

Bored... may I suggest finding a suitable starwars group, (that means anyone can join) collecting a large stick* and shoving it into the middle of the beehive?

They make such a wonderful noise when you do that.

*'stick' is being used as a metaphor for whatever clump of text you use to get them riled up. You know, such-such is annoying, so-so is a waste of skin, that sort of thing.
| February 10, 2009, 4:54 pm
I would, but from previous experiences with "wasp nests," I'm just going to stick to throwing paintball grenades out of my car window and getting out of there. Grenade refering to a paragraph that sparks conversations about hunting me down, spamming my Mocs, etc... Surely you understand.

That, and all they have to do is label me as a favorite builder, and then wam, I'm getting spammed everywhere I go because I'm getting tracked.

Depending, of course, on the fact that they're smart enough to DO such a thing.

Say, that would be pretty funny to make a viking longship into a space ship! Vikings in space, who would have thought?

Yes, you got it wrong. Norseman is the correct spelling.

Anyway, I think it's because he thinks you're his friend. Therefore, he assumes you have no ability to discover things for yourself.

I put vikings and space into different groups. I can surely do other things by myself.
I won't say I'm not his friend, because I'm not converting to Catholicism to go to conffession. However, I WILL say that I'm not the oppossite of a friend with this friend that I'm not aquainted with in every way except every way.

Well, I have size 13 feet, a pair of steel toed boots, two Gattling guns, two missile launchers, AND two multi-round RPG launchers for anyone that dares to have a Star Wars/LEGO Space flame war. Does anyone wish to start it again this time?

To Areesta C and anyone that dares to think like him/her, you sure have no idea about the MOC Pages TOS agreement now, do you not? Also, for one that think of themselves as a mature LEGO Space fan, you sure have been acting like an immature, arrogant, and elitist bully on here, or at least a gangbanger. I am telling you, the fight between LEGO Space and LEGO Star Wars fans is like a fight between the Bloods and the Crips. The same rules also apply for the shameless promotion of LEGO Star Wars, too, folks. Were I a moderator of this page, I would have banhammered you and any other LEGO Space or LEGO Star Wars fan that pulled off this stunt into the Stone Age!

Also, is it me or was this conversation not about LEGO Space Hovertanks? Honestly, where is one discussion about LEGO Space Hovertanks in this whole series of posts anyway?

As for the guy who thought of the LEGO Space Vikings idea, why not get on that idea? That sounded like a good one to me.
