Group Competitions and some other pointless topics

I just joined the group, and I'm wondering who it is that gets to host group competitions, how to host them, how you join, etc., etc. I'm also wondering if it's only the Admin who gets to start contests. Personally I'd rather not get kicked in the behind for being foolishy outlandish and voicing my child-like and unimportant opinion. Ow! Who kicked me?

I think that as long as you have the permission of the admin, anyone can start a contest.
The whole 'kicking' thing is also unnecessary. It was a one-trick pony to begin with, and now it's beginning to get annoying.

i guess you would have to ask the mod of a group though there arent that many people that would get mad enough to kick you out of a group

Jon Willoughby, I've sent you an invite to my alliance group, The Ssyphin Syndicate. Keep in mind that only Ssyphin-related stuff is to be posted there, and that it would probably benefit you to see all the vehicles and people that will be supporting the Juranian Empire (some haven't been posted in the group yet; see my Ssyphin Syndicate folder).

I hate to be a trouble Willis, but the power throughout the Juranian empire has shifted, and it is now known as The Imperial Shyyphastian Confederacy, or The ISC.

Wait a minute, what's all of this talk of empire's and alliances about? Does it matter what group your in? I'm not going to act sincere about it, but really?

Gosh, I need to stop asking questions!

This (alliances) is the reason for my unpopularity in certain circles.

Hmm...

Call it childish, but at least I'm not a halotard. Hmmm.. I'm beginning to like that word. It's really just a 'theme', I guess. Like the LIU. All my creations (or at least most) are vehicles/people/etc associated with 'The ISC', an 'Outer Rim Empire' I came up with. Similarly, Willis created 'The Ssyphin Syndicate'.

Well I am! And I might have a loaded Sniper Rifle System 99D-S2 Anti-Matériel that says you are too (evil laughs). Just kidding!

I never said it was childish. It's alright if you like it. But when you start having online battles and wars...sheesh. I hate those. They're downright annoying.

I remember that one "war" against the LIU. Kind of funny, because I commented on it being against them! But people do grow up a little.

Heheh, that word is kind of addictive. But I'm not a halotard. More like the step below that... or two steps, or ten steps...

I am nowhere near becoming a halotard myself, but if I follow on my current course, I may well become a 'CBTtard' of sorts.

It can't be worse than halotard.

It is when you start shelling out huge sums of money for limited edition hundred-tonner battlemechs and supertanks.

I do not intend to, of course. I'll be going the cheap way for a while without miniatures.

Same game, just not as pretty to look at.

CBTtard? Would anyone like to explain?
Also, has anyone noticed that most conversations are created by and participated in by only a specific handful of members in our group?

It seems that in the end, each conversation ends up having no more than 5 real 'participants'...

It's mainly because the conversation drifts off of subject, and it gets to the point where only a select few actually know what they are talking about. But because this is a general conversation, it's mainly because no one really knows what to talk about when one subject ends.

Or, as that famous Mark Kelso quoted from the CSF forums:
"Less Talking, More MoCing!"

Yes, but some people see no need to communicate.

'CBT', acronym for Classic BattleTech, the name representing the older rulesets for the Battletech board game.

In my case, REALLY older. The book I use is the Battletech Compedium, which I have studied a good deal. That book is six years older than I am.

I have never played a game of it however, and I am still collecting boards and counters and sheets and whatnot to print out.

Life's a game that you'll eventually lose. But strategy games can always be beat in a matter of weeks.

Heh, I like that.. depressing in a comic way!
Anyways, death and strategy games aside, I've been wanting to ask a question I feel is unworthy of a whole topic.
Based on my writing skills and my newer MOCs, how old would you guess I am?

I'd say around fifteen/sixteen.

Either that, or seventy-five/eighty.
Take your pick.

Ooh, tough one. You have the writing skills I had when I was thirteen. Your mocs, while blocky, are pretty well planned out. I'm guessing you're at least over eleven, but no more than 15.
Darn, I've already said my age in a previous post!
