OK, sorry so much for messing people around - apparently some of you were going to post right near the end and now don't have time.
As I mentioned, due to some rather unpleasant circumstances I'm having to leave home tomorrow, and will only be back a couple of weeks later - amongst other things, this messes up my plan to end this contest, and start the next one on the 1st of july.
So, I thought, instead of switch contests two weeks late, it'd make more sense to switch them three days early.
... then seeing that some of you wouldn't have time to enter, having supposedly already started your creations, I felt a pang of guilt... and a spark of inspiration.
There is a nice, simple way that, even though I'm not here to change the contests over on the 1st, I can do things so that everybody still has time to enter.
This current contest will end on the 1st july, as planned (though since I won't be here I'll exceptionally not disqualify anything that gets entered a few days late, if you're still busy building) , giving you all hopefully enough time to enter your creations.
Then, quite simply, I'll just leave the judging until I get back. Sorry I won't be able to do so earlier, but at least you all have more time to prepare your entries like this.
As for the next contest, I'll just start that today, the last free evening I have before leaving, and it'll run for two months and three days, finishing on the 1st of september, where I'll (hopefully) switch over to the contest after that one.
So, in a nutshell, you still have a few days to build and enter your models, I'll judge them when I get back in mid-july, and I'll get the 4th contest started three days early (tonight) and invite you all, so you can get started on that one too. Feel free to invite any other builders out there you think my be interested in participating. Also, because I've seen so many great entries so far, from now on when I judge my contests, I'll make a list of the top 5 entries, not the top 3 :)
