Dawn Forge Space ships.

Um...Can we compile a list of Dawn Forge space ships, based on real Naval Ships.

We need to find minimum/maximum armament, armour, crew etc. and shrink/expand them to match LEGO Building standards.

Here is my Favourite:

Real Corvette:
Armament: Single 16"-22" Double barreled main gun. 14 Light 50-70 cal. Machine guns for defence.
Armour: .7 (2 feet-ish) meters Stainless steel
hull.
Crew: 32.
Length: 180'-240'

LEGO DF corvette:

ARMAMENT: Twin 22" Double barreled main guns.
8-10 twin 50 cal. Machine guns for in-close defence from boarders/Small fighters.
ARMOUR: .7 meters (2 feet-ish)Brick built or plate and tile built angular, sloping walls to deflect enemy shells. And useful for RADAR deflection.
CREW: 10-16
LENGTH: 70-160 studs.

Anyone got any more ships, that have plausible use in LEGO for DF? Please try to use "up to date" info, as we will need as close to "fancy" and hi-tech as we can get.

As I am planning a Corvette right now, but don't expect to see it for a while....

Actually Martin, I donít want to get too specific with the details and standards of DF. I would prefer to keep things a little simpler to allow for creativity within the theme instead of getting bogged down in strict standards and minutia. I hope Iím not discouraging you, and if that kind of thing helps you with your builds, thatís awesome, but I donít want to apply it to the DF theme as a whole. For now, I want to just stick with the simple guidelines that Iíve set up and leave it at that. I hope you understand.

Yeah I was throwing it out there as so that I can show you guys what I am planning...but I was just meaning to say that if there are any more ships people know of/like, I will work out the basics so that I can build them....as not too many people can build SHIPS.

Ok...anyway...can I get you to lock this thread. please.
It was just a "throw it out there" kinda idea

No worries, Martin. Iím going to leave the thread open in case anyone wants to talk about DF starship ideas. All I meant is that I didnít want any true DF starship standards created here that go beyond the overall DF guidelines. But ďthrowing ideas out thereĒ is what discussion threads are all about, so from that angle, feel free.

Um, I have a question about DF ships. Are we assuming that there is artificial gravity in these ships like in Battlestar Galactica (and every other sci fi tv show and movie except Space Oddessy)

I don't really know about anything for that, as you can't exactly strap a 100t mecha to the wall.
But I'm gonna try rotating rings for gravity.

I just joined and was wondering if there were any specific guidelines for Spaceships other than the ones listed in DF guidelines.
