Kanto? Johto? Where is the border?

Well, As far as the cities are concerned, This is easy. New Bark Town and everything west is Johto, Viridian and everything east is Kanto. Generally, it is pretty easy as well.

However, where is the exact border?

The games say that the border is somewhere in route 27. Then again, it also says that Mt. Silver is Johto too, and then you take a step east to the route that connects it too the reception gate and wala, you're in Kanto now.

Lets face it, the border is wierd. I've always considered everything up to Reception Gate to be Johto, plus Route 28 and Mt. Silver.

Sadly, I am not the guy that draws the borders. Nintendo says that the border is somewhere in the middle of Route 27.

If I were to build as Nintendo would and build from the supposed border at Tohjo Falls, I wouldn't bother to include Mt. Silver. Then again, wouldn't it be easier to just ignore everything east of New bark Town?

Well, I'd like to see what you guys think about this. Personally, I'd say either build everything from New Bark west OR everything up to Reception Gate and Mt. Silver

Hm, I would make it at the reception area/league. After all, those were in the original games.

Well, the two regions are connected so we should just make both. I think that we should just design the whole pokeearth.

Let's focus on going West of New Bark Town first, then see how well it turns out. If it's good, we can push east and make more stuff.

Since you don't have Heartgold or Soulsilver, You could work on another region if you'd like. That is, when you're done with these buildings. Make sure you post LDD files for them! Or, if you dont have LDD, then make them easy to reproduce

I'm pretty sure the layouts are very similar in original Gold Version to the HG layout. I'll use online resources for references on the buildings and double checking the layouts though.
