With only a few hours left, three teams are in the running for the win. The fourth team and beyond are just too far behind now, how will it end? The top three stand thus, but many entries still need to be judged.
1. 5 Easy Pieces = 920 (42 entries)
2. Jigsaw = 876 (51 entries)
3. Inglorious ABS7ards = 725 (37 entries - 3 or 4 are not on here yet as they have not been judged)

Pretty exciting!

I just wanted to share a few thoughts and this seemed like a good spot to park them.

This last month has been a wonderful experience. I can't remember the last time I was so excited about not just my models but others as well. Seeing what everyone was coming up with, their take on the themes...it was just too much fun.

I also got to build WAY outside my comfort zone which is just what I think I've needed to get me building again...though maybe just a bit slower. This breakneck pace about killed me, staying up late, getting the kids to school, going to work, and then building again is no bueno for us old guys!

Thanks to the judges/organizers who put this on. Again it's been great!

your score >5< :-)

98%! The other 1% is if it comes out that you secretely read the judges minds and built ALL your entries before the start date, resulting in you being DQ'd :D

This is my first MocAthalon, and I have to say it's been a blast! Thank you so much to the judges for... Well, judging. It's a thankless job most of the time, but we appreciate it!

This was a fun contest. Although may I ask something for the next contest? Could you move the starting date 2 weeks later? As the whole time during the contest I was busy with school. And seeing as not everyone is either an AFOL of homeschooled, it would be better to move it baack 2 weeks. Cause then spring break would at least be a week or so in the contest timeline.

Thanks for being a part of it! (not just Bryce, but ALL of you!)

Now Bryce, if you like my little contests... I hope you'll check out the MocOlympics this fall! We start getting things ready in late August and the games start in around early Sept. I encourage EVERYONE to check it out.

Ok, only about a half hour left in the games... I'm gonna close the group at the deadline time. Get those last minute entries in NOW and good luck to everyone!

Agreed completely. Not only would spring break provide a better opportunity for building, but the end of this contest coincides with the 3/4 mark of the school year - meaning toward the end we basically had to choose between MOCing for the contest and studying for midterms, which should be a no brainer for anyone with any sense of priority. :P

Starting later would be better, but whenever is fine i guess. Thank you judges for putting this on, Ive really enjoyed this contest. I want to definitely be in the MocOlympics in the fall too. Im gonna try and get the last word before you close the 2011 Mocathlon for the rest of eternity.... Long Live Team Savage Gerbils!! WE SHALL HAVE OUR REVENGE!!!!!

Thanks to everyone who helped make this event happen! I also want to thank my team-mates who helped me along the way, and vented with me :)
I was going to make a final stride. I worked soo hard today, had three decent mocs done, with 45 mins till the deadline! I only take like four pics of each, becuase of the time left, and of course, my camera fails me.... Classic.. Well, anyways I guess i'll polish them a little more, and add them some other time :)

Hopefully, I won't start a darkage after this, like I did last year!

I had a great time thanks to everyone!

I guess I'll throw in my thoughts.

I played in last year's MocAthalon and this year had more constraints on the categories that really limited what you could make. Minimum sizes really killed some good ideas for categories.

There are some positives though. Judges were very fair and unbiased. I remember from last year that I had some good MOCs that lost points for being Halo or having BrickArms and such, but this year the themes chosen didn't affect scoring.

This year's contest was good.

Also I know what a dekotora is now.

Lots of judging still needs to be done, but the top 3 are pulling away from the pack. Scores stand thus:
5 Easy Pieces = 977 (45 entries)
Jigsaw = 908 (54 entries)
Inglorious ABS = 877 (46 entries)

Two months in a row of just LEGO, LEGO, LEGO. I sacrifised somwhere there 3 or so positive grades for this alone, not to mention last month!

My experience was good too, I guess, but after half the month was gone, I was just waiting for it to be over, trying to win in the process. Sadly, we use 24 hour system here and I am not used to am/pm, so I couldn't get my last minute entry in.

The Goldman incident was not fun and I think he even deleted his account...
