There will be 3 rounds, each with less and less people. The judges will score on the build, film accuracy, and peice usage (I think it will be these, it may change).

Round 1:
Will begin on 15th February.
Build your favourite scene from your favourite film on an 8x8 base. No stupid overhang like sticking a 32x32 baseplate on top, just keep it close to 8x8. As we all may not have seen your selected film, please provide a youtube link to the selected scene from it. Don't worry if you can't go on you tube, just tell us and we'll be able to find it :D

I forgot to mention, Bionicles are allowed too! Just build a small stand that is 8x8 to position your creation on.

From when the contest starts, you make a creation based around the rounds theme. For example, for this round you have to build a scene from your favourite film on an 8 stud by 8 stud base. You post the creation on the pages and add it to this group. At the end date, the judges will score your creation. The "n" number of people with the highest score will go onto the next round and the people with the lowest scores will be knocked out. The next round will have a different theme and probably more of a MOC-off style thing.

Earliest entry date: 15th February
Latest date: 1st March. However, this date may change due to how many entries we get :D

So, for a judge, is there some rubrick to follow? At the end date, i know that we will score, so do we tell you like in a conversation what the score for each person was?

I will make a scores topic. In there you can write your score for each person. Once all 3 of us have posted, I will add up the scores and chose who goes through.

Hey, are only some people going to make it to the next round? Like eliminating half the contestants each round?

I don't want to be sarcastic but this is a situation where you just have to be sarcastic:
that is generally how a tournament works :D
I don't think that half the contestents will be eliminated, probably around a third.

i've seen inception and it was so mind bogglingly awesome! if someone makes a mind boggling 8x8 build that does a decent job of explaining the whole "dream inside a dream inside a dream inside someone's head" idea, then i would definitely give you as many points as possible, BUT it would have to be absolutely mind boggling, and personally i dont even think that i myself could build something that does justice to the mind boggling plot of that movie, so dont think you can get an easy win just by building something from inception, remember: mind boggling on an AFOL scale :D

Do you know when this round will be over? I'm, on Vacation and I need to know when to go on for judging. I will be able to go on whenever you need me to, so don't worry. If the are any other nights you need me to go onto let me know. Other than that, i can go on whenever I can. Im on vacation till at least next friday. Will it be after the 25th?
See you later,
Calvin

To Calvin,
Judging will start on March 1st which is a Tuesday. If we get people who have signed up and not entered saying "Please, please extend the deadline" then I'll extend it a tad. So basically, keep checking up from March 1st. I do have a GCSE exam the day after (March 2nd) so I probably won't judge the entries until after that.

Alright, great. That works out perfectly. Even though i'm on vacation till the 25th, I have a few opportunities to check the contest just in case. Let me know if there is anything i still need to know.

Alright, great. That works out perfectly. I wasn't sure when the contest ended so i needed to be sure i was home before then. I was positive that i was going to be because I knew the contest was going to last awhile, I just needed to double check. Let me know if there is anything i still need to know.
