Hhhm. That is just sad... Lego is just about the only 'toy' brand that doesn't make their product in China. I hope they realize what they're doing, quick!

MAN! this is annoying... Lego is already expensive, and we buy it because of QUALITY. I wont buy it if its quality SUCKS!

I reckon the minifigures series should have stopped WAY earlier, and I think they are effecting LEGO's quality. If you look closely, you'll notice that most of the colours' are actually slightly different. its cheaper colouring.

I'm not happy.

Yeah. I never got into the minifigures anyway. I also thought they were the problem, along with new minifigures in sets, especially Star Wars. LEGO keeps making amazing looking figures, but now they loose that LEGO feel. LEGO is wasting money on new molds and printing for good looking figures but then loosing their actual brick quality. I feel that LEGO is turning back and going down the hole they were in a few years back.

Everyone seems to keep saying just complain to LEGO. Well I'm not disagreeing but these people have not thought as to why they are lowering quality in some bricks. Here's what I said word for word.

"Whoa. I'd like to add in some opinion. I have not gotten a single 2012 set this year because I'm poor, but my theme is Star Wars. I've never noticed such a thing before other than pieces cracking after rebuilding sets and using parts for MOCs and such, but that's normal. I am quite surprised to see such a thing happen though.

Now, as it being for cost reasons, well then LEGO needs to stop doing what they are doing or they will end up like they were in the mid-noughties (2000's) and stablize. I think that the Collectible Minifigures are good, but I think they're making too many new molds. This also goes for minifigures in all sets that need specialty parts made. In the mid-noughties, LEGO was making way too many new molds that cost a lot of money to create and they needed a splash of water on they're faces to realize this was not going well. Now I like all these nice new minifigures as they are accurate, same with regular pieces, but they are slowly making LEGO not seem like LEGO anymore. I would say that it is because LEGO is making all these new figures with all this printing is creating this need to create lower quality bricks.

Why is printing the issue? Well, as all of you know, the printing has become phenomenal, but they need new dyes to make the printing and what I think LEGO is doing is when they make all these great figures, or even new colors, just to get collectors and MOCists to buy the sets. Not a bad move, but with all these new molds, printing, and colors, especially all within most of a year's time, it's creating too much debt. They are compensating by making the prices go up, which is also helping the problem. If LEGO was to back off and make sets that look good with ingenuity in using pieces than making new ones, make minifigures more simplified and more LEGO like, and not make so many new colors in the printing and actual pieces, they can give us the quality they feel we deserve.

The point is just too become aware of some of the problems and think. If you guys want to whine that your quality is not up to par, think about these other factors. It may not seem like it's a good plan and I'm not telling you to agree with me, but for those of us who MOC or Collect, you can see the difference over the years. Change always happens, but instead of whining about the problem, think about why there is a problem.

Instead of complaining only about quality, share your thoughts about what could also be done to help the alliance between LEGO and its consumers strong.

Sorry for such a long comment by the way."

Everyone is saying stuff without much thought behind it in my opinion. Share a why, not a how, as in "How dare you give my shotty bricks!" Why as in, "Why is it like this, and why not try and do this."

I reckon minifigures began lacking quality, and that might have been the point were they fell off the cliff. I've never been into SW, and I'm not allowed to buy the sets, and I never wanted to, so I wouldn't know if SW affected the fall.

I just don't get why something like this happened. I hope it is just a random thing, because if we go back to the beginnings of LEGO, the founder's motto (which still is) "Only the best is good enough". I hope they have that in mind >:(

Have you ever gotten a minifigure part in its own little bag before? Those are usually parts made of lower quality in other parts of the world. Many Star Wars sets are coming like that because it is a new mold and some have loads of detailed printing. LEGO is doing a fie job with them, but one part for one minifigure in one set seems almost excessive. Just make do with what you have. There's more ingenuity and creativity in doing that sometimes than just making a new mold.

I'd agree, but sets aren't cheap, used to be cheap, and will forever increase in price. You know, inflation. Except the economy tanked here in America causing some global expenses and so inflation is only working half of the way it should.

This is the long discussion thread.

The word "whether" in that quote can be used as "etc." That does technically mean I can advertise anything I please in that thread. So maybe you should change that to "advertise only things relating to Lego and MOCPages" instead of "etc etc anything you want."

While I have seen all your comments being in line with the rules, you are being annoying. I never liked the long discussions topic, but rather than have this type of thing get lost in the general conversations, it be easier to talk about it here. I wanted to get people's opinion and perspective of the issue that was brought to my attention on MOCpages. Before you come back at me and say, "You got people's opinions and perspectives on the issue," I'm going to say I didn't get enough because you came in and started going crazy with your pretend stories and stuff about other issues. Other world issues are fine, but you're being so stnpid about it. Also, politics? Really? Just stop. Politics are where lines are drawn because then you start arguements about people's beliefs which can almost never be changed. I don't mind you commenting, but the rest of us were on a different topic that was still in progress. Could you please respect that? That's why we have general conversations and more specific topics. This may not be as specific as others but you managed to mess up our little organized system for these little topics. We could fix them, but that wouldn't be good enough for you, would it? Why don't you just stay on neatchat since that's all you really cared about doing for such a long time if you don't like how we are doing things here?
