I keep forgetting to mention things. The whole Earth rotation thing. The Earth is said to be slowing down in rotation, as according to science. If the big bang were to have happened and Dinosaurs occurring in time when they did, the Earth would still be rotating at a speed that would cause the circular forces to send the dinosaurs off of the planet and therefore could not continue the evolution process that would eventually lead to us.

But an ARK? Really? I don't believe that. Aren't there like a million species, I'd say you need a huge yacht for that. Plus, he would have to go around the whole world to get a male and female of every kind. It's just one thing of some storys in the bible I don't believe. (I'm not christian)

The ark was measured in cubits. A cubit is about the length of either your forearm. The Ark was 300x50x30 cubits. Approximately 450x75x45 feet. According to science, many animals are similar, but some atributes are different and then that makes it a different species. The differences are due to adaptation so the millions of animals we have today may have only been a few thousand in Noah's time. Think of ant or the birds in the Galapagos. According to the Bible, all animals and man were made in the area between the Tigris and Euphrates. Many animals that are now just specified to single locations were found in the areas of Israel, Babylonia, Mesepotamia, etc. God would bring animals from areas so that Noah could keep working on the Ark. Also, according to the Bible, all animals were vegetarian until after the draining of the flood and God gave His Covenant in Genesis 9. Paraphrased it said that Humans and animals of all kinds shall not eat meat that is still living, and all animals shall multiply and refill the earth. So the animals could walk freely throughout the ark without the need of cages and holding wasted space. There may not have been a lot of room, but everyone could have fit. So although you don't believe it was possible, I say it is because sometimes it just depends on your perspective and understanding of things.

Yeah, like Mclegoboy said I don't think there were as many animals back then and plus I don't think they would have to travel the world, because God would probably sent all of the animals to him. Plus wasn't there only one big continent back then or something...

You're right. Somewhere in Genesis it is said (or at least I was told by my Youth Directors) that the earth split open and more water came from under the land. Thus splitting Pangea into the Seven Continents we know today.

For those of you in this whole Big Bang Noah's Ark Dinosaur conversation. Have you guys ever considered this?
I believe the Universe is more closer to 10,000 years old rather than 14 Billion. I had never considered this but most Christians should recognize this paraphrase. A day to God is a thousand years and a thousand years one day.
God can do whatever he likes how he likes so God could have made the first day of light the Big Bang, or at least the first seconds and the night was afterward.
The next parts of the Sea and Sky and Land took two days and those are the next millions of years of the birthing of the Iron rich magma mass of Earth and it's cooling.
Then all the Vegetation begins.
The Stars and Moons and Planets fall a little out of order according to science, but still the days go on.
Then the Sea and Sky Creatures. God produces the bacteria and little lifeforms and makes all the animals out of them from the Sea. He throughs more in the air and they make the birds.
Then the Land creatures. He takes more of those bacteria and little lifeforms and throughs them on land and they become the Land Mammals and Reptiles. They don't come from the Sea but still close enough. And then Man is made. The next Billions of years for the stages of Evelution happen those Fifth and Sixth days.
The Seventh Day markes the Beginning of History as it is recorded because everything is done.
Now a lot of you guys might be sceptical about this and I have no proof of God doing such a thing, but just think about what Creation was like. What if it was the Big Bang and Evolution just put on Fastforward. I am Christian but it is okay to question things so don't you guys go all crazy saying stuff about me and how I'm such a bad Christion for thinking about evolution and the possibility of it being true. God could also have easily thought. Oh well these rocks don't have enough pizzazz, I'll add these impressions called fossils and they will be my blueprints of animal designs I had. God could have chosen to make the Earth look like it was 3 billion years old when it is only 10,000. Adam was only a few days old when he was in the Garden yet he looked much much older than what a few-day-old looks today. This concludes my very long comment. My point is to get you guys to think about other ways than exactly how you are told or taught to think. Afterall we are teenagers and we are making choices and doing things with our lives that we couldn't do back when we were younger. It's okay to think, that's why God gave us the ability to do so.

I agree, if we're going to keep this conversation going, we might as well put it in its own topic. It did start off as facts but it has turned itself into just sharing information that is true or just is a possibility. I don't want to make a topic just because I'd rather you make it official as the Administrator.

I started the Noahs Ark thing, you started the big bang theory. But it all adds up to how the Dinosaurs could have disappeared right? So if MR. LEGO approves we could still name it Dinosaur conversation. Also, I just think that maybe someone else will join in. SO I guess only time will tell.

So that means God drastically changed the physical attributes of many animals? There's nothing wrong with that, but that means they got different stomachs, theeth, maybe some advancements for hunting. Right? And by the way, the Bible never said anything about gay-marriage. It says that a marriage is something between a man and a women, which is logical, but it never said homosexual people can't marrie. Your microwave also doesn't contain a disclaimer that says what you can put in and what not.

For Bro/ /Ken, that is going to start a debate which is a topic of it's own, so if you want to talk about that, I suggest you take it there. As for the microwave, it takes simple logic not to throw certain things in a microwave, and food related products like plates, plastic containers, foam containers, paper, plastic wrap, tin foil, ceramic pottery, and the like all have specefications as to wether or not it is safe to microwave. A Microwave is just an appliance and it doesn't need a disclaimer regarding what is to be put in it. And even this could be debated about as to whether or not this could be in the debate topic.

For AA, I don't know where. Genesis 9 is the covenant, but if all the animals in Eden were what they are today, we wouldn't have half of the animals we have today because all the Cats, Wloves, and Carniverous Dinosaurs would have to eat and if they weren't going to eat the vegetation, they would have to eat the eaters of the vegetation. Because of there only being enough of each species to populate the earth, there would be just about only carnivors.

You should turn off the e-mail setting, it's easier that way. Then I just rush through my activity box, anything that doesn't catch my eye...was accidental. :P

You're right. Somewhere in Genesis it is said (or at least I was told by my Youth Directors) that the earth split open and more water came from under the land. Thus splitting Pangea into the Seven Continents we know today.

WOW REALLY!!!

Sorry for replying, but you know that you can delete your own comments even though you aren't a moderator or an administrator right. stop hitting continue more than once. After you hit continue, it doesn't always show that the page is trying to load, but it still goes through in a minute and changes the page. Hitting continue a bunch just adds that many more comments of the exact same thing.

Is there a way to stop e-mails from this site?

I just had the same question answered.

Go to your account, look at right hand side and find account settings. Under it there should be something that says email. Click on it and it will give you the option to stop getting certain messages such as comments on mocs, in groups, stuff about your fav builders. Uncheck all that and you should be okay.

Marine mammals such as dolphins and whales manage to sleep without drowning, because only half their brain sleeps, while the other half stays awake and handles the breathing and swimming chores. The two hemispheres of their brains work totally independently. For 8 hours, the entire brain is awake. The left side then sleeps for 8 hours. When it wakes up, the right side sleeps for 8 hours. Thus, the marine mammals get 8 hours of sleep without ever having to stop physically.
