Yeah, the Darth Bane series is my favorite.

if you like the Darth Bane series, try "The Old Republic: Fatal Alliance". it wasn't as good as the Darth Bane books, but it was still pretty good, and it gives some extra detail on what happened during the time of the Old Republic.

my favorite was the X-Wing series, though I really like Timothy Zahn's various books as well, particularly Outbound Flight and Allegiance.

a bit of a note to everyone on here that came from the Design by Me gallery, the DbM Gallery will be closing pretty soon (two months at latest).

you might want to get your old creations off of there and on to MOCpages before it's too late.

Thanks for the heads up, but I have all my creations saved on my computer. It's a handy backup if anything gets wiped from LEGO or MOCpages.

I'll have to check those out.

Is it just me, or are the Sith in the Star Wars movies WAY weaker than Darth Bane?

it's not just you. :P
if Palpatine is supposed to be the end result, I'd say the Rule of Two was kinda unsuccessful.

actually, even Bane was considered somewhat weak compared to some Sith. Exar Kun single-handedly defeated a couple THOUSAND Jedi at Yavin IV and still (somewhat) survived. some Sith were able to destroy entire star systems by using the Force to collapse a system's sun. I've also heard that Darth Revan was immensely powerful as well.

studying? is Chunk in college? and yeah, I'm pretty bored too. let's see, I have about a billion different ideas for LDD builds, some various SW story ideas I need to get written down, a couple newly-completed things I need to get put up on MOCpages, a couple million creations I need to get off DbM and the LU Creation Lab before they close down, my dad needs help beating some levels on Halo, two of my little sisters want me to play with them on Medal of Honor, I have friends on the LMBs that are nagging me about how inactive I'm getting, and there's a little Ninjago set from my birthday a week ago that I still haven't even taken out of its box. oh, and school to deal with. yeah, I'm pretty bored.

Ditto.
I also noticed that three of the four 'outstanding' (One of which was 'newest'? How is that outstanding?) models were Minecraft related.
Who thinks we should put on some CBMC Classics? No offence Bryce, but if LEGO were to start making a western mech line then CBMC Classic would be a better way to do it because all the parts are interchangeable and modular.

That's how long it took for the LEGO Minecraft CUUSOO project to reach 10,000 supporters. In contrast, it took the first winning project over a year to reach 1,000 supporters. Once again, another showcase of how supportive the Minecraft community is.

First, I'll start off by pointing out how much its gonna cost if Lego don't use stickers for ores and such - its gonna take a looooot of 1x1 tiles.

Anyways, I hope to see some of the following sets:

Biome sets - come with 1 - 4 chunks worth of area, with the apropriate topping.
Forest Glade
Icy Tundra
Bitter Desert
Ocean Voyage
Pine Valley Forest
Nether Adventure
Adventure sets - comes with 1 - 4 chunks worth of area, with apropriate topping/landscape. Includes Steve and assorted items and enemies.
Stronghold Escapade
Lava Caverns
Diamond Discovery
NPC Village
Nether Fortress Exploration
Construction sets - comes with enough bricks to make a total of one chunk worth of area.
Home design
City design (4 chunks worth of area)

Chunk = 16 wide, 16 long, 16 high (each unit is one Minecraft Lego block)

I like the last picture on the project page. Using 5 tile high x 2 blocks across makes squares so the dimensions are right, however to make them be able to be built with you would need to put studs on top which wouldn't look too nice. So you use the super jumper plates (4x4 plate with one stud) and now it looks nice. Then there's the problem of not being able to build sideways. Not to mention that even one chunk would cost heaps because of the amount of pieces needed to make something like that. LEGO has their work cut out for them.

Oh, and did you see that Cuusoo's servers went down three times because of Minecraft?
*Notch used blogpost, it was super-effective!*

I dunno. I tried putting the Goliath's arms and legs on the Grey Wolf and it didn't work out so well. and strangely his Sledgehammer sniper cannons don't seem to fit on either MBSs.

You've misuderstood, CBMC Classic and MBS are different lines. The CBMC Classics (Eg; Chunk's Jester or my Shuriken) are modular, using cockpits, legs, arms, weapons and weapon attachments. The Sledgehammers are designed for CBMC Classic, not MBS (however they could be modified to work with them).

ED, I think it's the other way around with the Sledgehammers. Oh, and you can think of Classics as chicken walkers (what most people think of) and MBS' as humanoids.

ah, okay. and I'll give the Sledgehammers a quick check. just a moment... alright, found them. quoting Chunk: "presenting the powerful new 180mm Sledgehammer sniper cannons! though they were originally designed for use on MBS's, a quadrupedal Mech could surely support them. make sure you use joint mounts wrather than standard hard mounts. Bio you can also use these if you like." so yeah, they're apparently designed for Mech Battle Suits. although my problem might be that I tried to attach them the wrong way. I tried sticking them on the mounts where the Grey Wolf's PLAB cannons and the Goliath's missile launchers were.
