So there won't be a mile of posts you need to scroll through to get to the bottom of the GC, here's the GC2. A new GC will start every time a GC thread gets rediculously long.

Might need on of these for the TCS thread soon if we don't get a group for it soon.

Hay ED!

There's a couple of adventures on Spore that I made recently that I think you'll like, if you're still into Spore that is. GCG - Infidel and GCG - Nova Rising (Part A). Look up Dragonman9 over there and download them, I know you'll like them!

EDIT: Link: http://www.spore.com/sporepedia#qry=ssc-500727837214

Anyone else who has Spore (w/ C&C and GA) is welcome to try them as well!

I agree with Bryce. As I said there, you're making this a bigger deal than it needs to be. Just because you're immediate needs haven't been satisfied doesn't warrant this type of behavior. And the system can improve, it just isn't right now because chunk isn't around to say yes or no. Please, for the sake of improvement of this system, lighten up!
EDIT: I'm going offline know. I hope everything works itself out tonight, otherwise, Richie, you might have just ruined the game for everyone. I hope you're happy with that.

Let's see if you say the same if said actions do take place. Your rediculous behavior of late has warranted your removal from this and the TCS group, as well as being expelled from our unofficial group of Chunk's Big Mech' Co./ Xenochron Technologies on these grounds:
-Violent language towards other members of the group
-Violent language towards a mod/admin of multiple groups (LDD ELite Mechaniers and TCS group)
-More or less complaining about being invited to participate in the development of a new tabletop game (known as the Tactical Combat System at this point). By being an official member of the group you were required to atleast participate now and then. When you finally did, you complained that the system did not meat your values, and when both I and several other players tried to give you an explanation and try to make a compromise, you disregarded all this.

Good luck to you sir and have a nice day. If you wish to plead for an unban, send me an email at chunksallot@aim.com and we caqn discuss it.

I was thinking that since this is no longs just for CBMC/XT then we could invite Rabid Goldfish. He makes LDD Mechs and I'd class his as elite as any of the rest of us.

Also, this is a 'LDD' group, so if you want I'll delete my physical MOCs from the group. (If so I ask Bryce to do the same.)

I want to have you guys in the story! Same a on the LMBs you wont get a say in what happens, but I'll use your name or another name of your choice. New this time is the addition to choosing your paint job, weapons and MekPak.
I will be using the new LTM Daemon frame. I want to know who is interested first, though.

I haven't decided how exactly I want to do this, but I'd like to sell/get rid of most of them, to make room for more, newer legos. Anyways, that's what's going on with me. Well that was unexpected...
Anyway, I don't know 'bout XTs but LTs do.
Andrew, I assume that the AI used in XTs surpasses that of a human (eg; an LT neuro-pilot) but how much of a 'personality' do they have? Or are they all clean and clinical clones? Also what ethics programming do they have? Like "don't kill/hurt a human" or Asimov's laws or something.

And here I thought I'd be posting simple small talk today. I can't say I've thought about this, but now that I do think about it, eh... XT13s and XT19 can't talk, but all models past that can talk. And when they do talk, they talk more like transformers, a sorta electronic undertone with buzzing.

As for ED's questions, I've just assumed that they don't hurt humans except in battle instances. I don't think that they are smarter than humans, but they can come up with battle strategies and calculate answers faster than humans.

Well, when I initialy heard of the UGM-7 I expected to be impressed. To be Brutally honest I am, quite frankly, disapointed. As of yet, the only customisable features appear to be the weapons and the paint job, and as for the amazing flexibility the UGM-7 cant even look up without leaning back. Also, i expected a more traditional look; It just looks wierd, and it doesn't look anything like any previous XTs. I will continue to work with mechs based on the UXM-1.T frame (such as my nearly complete Centauroid mech the UCM-5) and would like to have the rights to the UXM-1 transfered to Dragonstar Technologies --OR-- if you have not deleted the model for the UXM-2, I would like to take over the project and transfer the UCM-5 to that frame design (in that case, you can e-mail it to me at rich-e-collins@q.com).

Richie, ever heard the saying "Can't say anything nice, then just don't say anything"? Well, it certainly applies here. For one, you haven't seen any of the models I've got stocked up on my computer. For another, do you honestly expect me to just hand over ownership of my mechs to you after a statement like that? Also, maybe my intention was to make the UGMs not like the other XTs. Finally, the armor will be customizable, just not in the same way as before.

Right now, I'm thinking it was a mistake to reinvite you to this group. Why I thought you would be better after a while is beyond me. You sir are treading the same path that got you banned a while back. Mess up this time, you'll find yourself perma'd. I can take criticism, but not as bluntly as you just presented.

As for what you can improve for the future (just so this isn't all negative), I would suggest not being so blunt. A lot of your comments up there hurt. And they hurt a lot. Try to give constructive criticism instead of just blasting the living daylights out of a model that doesn't completely satisfy you.

I don't know about you guys, but I haven't seen any contests that either accept LDD or are LDD only on here. Who thinks we should make one? (If you don't know what I mean by a contest then search for the MOC Olympics or MIT)
Actually ED, I'm planning on making an LDD contest soon, so why don't you hold off on that. :)

Ahoy there men! been a while since I said wassap to you guys. I been playen around with the idea of doin a series of vignettes based around CBMC. The setting is a massive machine planet (think onyx from halo kind of idea) and an expiditionary force has been sent to explore and survey the surface before sending in a full on research and recovery mission. I wanted your thaughts on this so tell me what ya think! (people like rabid and Alpha feel free to comment too I know your not part of the "corporation" but your input is always appreciated!)

not to change the topic of lego actually doing something cool, but I wanted your guy's input on ideas for characters for the vignette-story-thingy im gona be making. would you guys rather see-

A) Made up characters that are employees of CBMC and XT

B) above mentioned A but with references to us as corporate higherups (which we are)

C)One of us appears in a supporting role in the story (a character that maybe makes 1 or 2 appearances)

D) one or a few of us play direct roles as characters in the story

and let the voating and discussing begin!

B, C and D?
ie; Those who want play a major role, those who want can be a reference high-up and those who want can have a supporting role as a high-up or other.
EDIT: And if I'm in it call me Edward Grant.

Anyone here remember Pittstop from the DbM gallery?
Well, guess what: He's here under the new name "Andros.Tempest".

Another good builder to have joined recently is Tim McCumber.

Welcome to the Mechaniers both of you!

thanks for the mention. yeah my "name change" caused some issues here when I first arrived when someone accused me of swiping something they themselves had stolen from me over on lego.com. I'm pleased people are finally getting that we are the SAME person.

I try as much as possible to remain consistent with my descriptions of my creations though some of the fiction has changed from website to website as I get new ideas.

for anyone who is still not convinced I'm here http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi here http://pittstop.deviantart.com/ and here http://www.flickr.com/photos/26506310@N05/.

As with Andrew, I would chose A/B. If I do get a mention at all, just call me Jak.

And yes, I am sort of back. Nowthat I can once again access MOCpages after it went down for me a few days ago, expect a new min(ish) mech.

Andrew,
I noticed you made mention of "Plasmatic Alternation" in both the UGM-7 base model and the UGM-7 Surrogate. This intrigued me so i googled (or actually binged) "Plasmatic Alternation" expecting to find a wikipedia article. Instead the UGM-7 came up on the top of the list. Clearly, you made it up. Plasmatic Alternation, as described in the Surrogate's page, make perfec sense as a melee weapon technology, But I have yet to figure out how the concept would work out as a power source. Please enlighten us if you do indeed know the secrets of your own technology.

It sounds cool. That's all I need. Loosen up, have some fun with descriptions, that's my motto.

As for my explanation, in the same way that the plasma streams in the blades produce the energy inside the membrane, the plasma also produces heat that can be converted into electricity, thus powering the mech.

(I had an explanation this time. I might not in the future. Don't expect me to respond to every question you've got.)

In case you didn't see my reply to your comment on my ARU, it is a completely different mech - it merely carries over one or two aspects of the UGM. Hopefully the images will work soon, as well as the .lxf file . . .

Just a heads up, I'll be releasing the next three UGM-7 models either tomorrow or Sunday. I'm rather proud of them, and I've decided to let you in on the names:

#3: Medic
#4: Maul
#5: Goliath

They all have customized armor, and their weaponry is among the best I've ever made (or so I believe), even more so than the Spectre's rifle.

Hey guys! I watched Transformers Dark of the Moon and was really inspired by those Decepticon Hover-Fighters. I was thinking that in the future, when none of us are busy with other projects, the colaborative could work on somthing similar. We could make it an unmanned hover-mech, or a mannned gunship, or even go so far as to have it piloted by an XT! (or an LT) Any Ideas, Input, or Other Response would be welcomed. what do y'all think?

Not to shoot your idea down, Richie, but all previous collab projects have failed miserably, usually due to someone losing interest. However, the concept in itself sounds like the final product would be epic, so I hope you'll find a way to accomplish it. :)

Thanks for the encouragement. I intend to pursue the concept but at the moment i am tied up with the UCM-5 and a backpack modification for the UXM-1. With your permission, i would like to release this backpack mod and the accessories for it as a new frame; The "UXM-1.T Bloc 30"
Thanks Again, R1C6i3

Okay, I hope I'm not coming off too harsh with this, but I just want to state something officially: you are not my employee. You have been in the past (pretending, of course) but you aren't anymore. We are just two mech builders making our way through MOCpages, and that's all. You can post anything you'd like without my permission.

That said, I'd like to suggest that you stop using other people's works as a basis for your own. Even the subtle "UCM" similarity to the "UXM/UGM" doesn't need to happen. Try making something original for once. You seem too dependent on my work or chunk's work. Anyways, as I said, I hope I'm not being too harsh with this.

The only reason i asked for your permission is to avoid violating your copyright. Also The UCM-5 is a product of the colaborative. Its name, therefore, should show evidence of that fact. I'm not going to call it the "DT-45" if thats what you want. Rest assured that i will try to be more original in the future. as for my CBMC project; I, for one, am having trouble finding anything remotely similar.
