Yes, I was oblivious back when the U.N.E, C.O.P. and E.O.S. fought. I mean I was around since Dec 2007
but I wasn't part of the U.N.E. till around late October.

Areetsa here integrated the EOS with the UNE by saying they're the bad guys of a popular trivid cartoon called Captain Galactic or something like that. It had a corny kiddiecartoon name, but I can't remember it right now.
