Quit SPAMMING my group!!!
Quoting Eric Mickle
The name says it all. Stop advertising this group in others. If someone is running they would already be here wouldn't they? People keep clogging my group with pointless topics and Im tired of it. STOP!

I'm kinda scared to say this because your an Admin in the halo group but,SHUT YOUR MOUTH AND CALM DOWN NOW!!!

I'm not at all uncalm, but I am tired of these random topics that don't mean anything to anyone. Yes the Halo Group has been inactive lately, but what is worse? Inactivity because of people being busy? or Inactivity due to these spammers.

We admins try our best to eliminate problems, but there is a giant loophole in the Pages. That loophole is that an Admin cannot delete a topic, so people see this as a way of permanent annoyance.

I agree with Eric, spamming his own group as a way to allow another group in is wasteful and unnecessary, but I think we should find another way to allow advertising for this group.

HERE IS WHY I DON'T GET EASILY MAD ABOUT USELESS TOPICS

The topic list is kind of like the universe, the useful topics are like the earth.....the locked topics are like far away galaxies that will never be deccovered. They will sink way down to the bottom of the list.

I made this group to be the most active ever, a truly active place.
I'v noticed that even the most conversational groups only get comments every not often.....

So we need all the active people we can get to get along and work together with this.....I guess I do regret creating that topic in the halo group,
cause I don't wonna make anyone feel stressed.....(Eric)

please invite as many people as you can and stay active.....

Civilized admins get annoyed at useless topics because they clog up the conversation bar. What I mean by that is they push active threads back into where few search. It eliminates those threads from use and evens makes other people leave the group entirely.

In the Mocpages Survival Contest two people decided to spam 2000 times, and after they did many people up-and left the group, and I havent seen them come back.

Many people should stop posting annoying comments and threads altogether as they are nothing but a nuisance.

I GEUSS I agree but if comments are REALLY used that much won't people just look for them? They can't be that far down can be? At least with the topic list sky's the limit.....

You missed the point: people are incredibly lazy, meaning they wont search that far; and these annoying comments scare off people.

DUDE! I'm not one of those people who put 2000 spam comments where ever, I only put two and did'ent even know it bugged you at first.....

And for the second one I did'ent understand why you were so MAD.

And I do regret it as you read in my speech.....

I completely get it now.....(I'm not stupid)

But another thing is that if people are lazy that means they are not active
and as you know I said in my speech to stay active (that also helps spam to sink to the bottom of the list

plus can't you just make a comment in the useful topic then delete it again?

I do agree with you and regret it as you read in my lil' speech but I think the problem is that people are becoming less interested in MOCpages and spammers are taking advantage of that. So they probably decided to knock out the few that are not to crazy about MOCpages any more.....

I really want this group to be active.....the one place were Lego-lovers get to chat with fellow Lego-lovers, and yes a lot of spam is a problem but it's not like I spammed 2000 times or anything.....

But what can we do about it?

I wish every-one on MOCpages was as active as we are.....

It would most likely be more beneficial if we had the people who are inviting others into the group to ACTUALLY CHECK these people out, not go on some rampage to find as many people as possible, unknowingly inviting spammers into this group. I also think more administrators and rules would allow us to regulate this more freely.

Now, hows about THAT speech, eh? :P

Yes I agree with you.....I actually have been doing that lately.....
I think that if everyone in every group was active spammers would not make a difference. (all their topics would sink within a day)

But not everyone is as active as they seem.

It's hard to find people that are very active (it's not as hard as it is time consuming.....

Yeah, it's quite tedious as I understand...hopefully if ALL of the spammers were less active, then we wouldn't have a problem. I think we should allow a vote on what we need to do, just to make it easier...the problem is that would just take up more time. Maybe I'll think up more ideas after the moderators/admins have been chosen.
