Hi, Jak. Thank you for the warm group welcome, It was very kind of you. Now back to lego, I am planing on making a fictional bolt action weapon, sadly my school exams are starting, and then going on vacation. I am sorry, but don't expect much from me for the next two months. But I will be happy to take any of your weapon suggestions.

I can tell you with my own experience that the Springfield '03 is very difficult to make. You can see my attempd, but it's very difficult to make one.

I have just check your Springfield, it is well designed and great looking. I will admit it will be challenging, but I had never let down a challenge. Do you have an suggestions, and have you seen my latest MOC?

Well, because of the open bolt, it's very difficult to load bricks, and at the same time don't let them out.
I've studied some pictures of the real mechanism, and it certainly helped my, so I really recommend to look an wikipedia/google images.

further, I recommend to just start building, and see what you can make of it (just like I've done), because than you get ideas you'd never get when only thinking!

The top loading will definitely be a challenge. The bolt and the trigger mechanism is pretty easy. I just need to figure a way to stop the next bullet from entering the chamber

BTW: Is it still possible to ask for the enfield's instructions? I would like to take a look at them. Don't worry I will credit you (for the instructions) if I use the design.
