Buying LDD-made guns ?
Join to comment
I just have a simple question,

Has anyone succeeded in buying a gun he has made with the Lego Digital Designer software ? Because in LEGO's policy about the Factory Gallery, "violent" creations won't be accepted. Plus, you can't represent a product from another manufacturer...

Anyways, has anyone succeeded in buying such a model ?

You can upload any LDD model and buy pieces for it, but that doesn't enter it into the "gallery" automatically. If you want a creation in the "gallery", then it has to follow their strict guidelines. I haven't bought pieces for a gun, but I have uploaded LDD models that clearly violate the "gallery" guidelines, and bought the bricks for them from Lego.

Wow, thanks man ! But, I do you do that exactly ? You just click the "Send to LEGO.com" button, follow the steps on the page and buy it ?

Thanks for your answer :)

Yes, I have bought a stock from Lego using that method. Unfortunately I will have to use that to make my next gun, since I ran out of bricks. To me, it seems the best way to make something. Cause you can edit all you like before you get exactly what you like!

i think ldd is pretty rubbish - i mean, you build your model, then it either says that because you used a certain piece, you cant buy it, or, if that doesnt happen, then your tiny model costs more than your house. not great.

Jack I have been able to make some pretty impresive models on LDD and they aren't small. So what if I can't get all the parts needed, I can just use some from one of my other guns!
