That is the second worst idea I've ever heard. The worst is me thinking of a way to make a gun that fires real bullets. I get really bored some days... Anywayz, I'm trying to make a really powerful brick shooter, kind of based off of lkmachines.com's S-61.

Last update for a long time for me...

I have completed a working loading mechanism that will load a .45 caliber round into the chamber of my Thompson M1A1 SMG [v0e] from the prototype magazine. Please check it out here, first video on the page: http://mocpages.com/moc.php/91377

Thanks and I hope you like it!

Matches=bad. Have you ever lit a match with another match? It flares up then burns normally, but that may melt the pieces. Or your face. That would hurt.

Your's is 4-studs wide? If so, make it 5-studs wide. My Thompson was too small. My next will be larger, if I get around to it. Making it fatter is more accurate to the design and allows more room for a firing mechanism.

It's ok now, but I've made it semi auto RBG. I'll post it here next week I think. Its 3 studs wide on the mag and triger guard, 5 on the bevel and 4 on the top bit. Also, I have been working on my next project and JJ your gonna love it! I have been in the process of designing an M1 Thompson on LDD. Since I ran out of bricks I will have to order it from Lego. It may not be ordered for awhile cause I wanna get it as accurate as possible and still make it shoot. If anyone has good suggestions on an M1 Thompson feel free to tell me.

If you are using a design with a string and the rotating barrels, you may not need to use two motors. Just one for the string can do the job. Also, don't get stuck on making some complicated gear system to fire the rubber bands, the string system works the best.

i disagree. over the years iv been able to make 2 different miniguns (both without string), whereas my attempt at making a string one failed

I disagree with you though. Using a string is much easier than using something else. Plus gear mechs are VERY complex and the part count is too much! I am just saying my opinion on this matter. Both work just fine.

Ow, I discovered it's pretty hard to replicate. Adding a good firing mechenism to it is also pretty hard. So, perhaps it'll come another time...

I've just made a Winchester M1894, with working lever, great look and a realistic capacity of 10 rubberbands. After that, I'll make an electric-powered minigun!

Currently I have finished the prototype for my newest Lego Submachine gun, that utilizes a new concept of a two piece cartridge I have created. Even though this gun will look nothing like a standard firearm, it will be easily portable and contain a high capacity of 14 rounds (currently). I am still in the process of creating a few refinements to the gun, but these are minor and will have nothing to do with the very simple mechanism. I will be posting this soon along with directions for the gun itself. I am finally glad to be back in the loop of posting guns.

The length is easy, I just look it up on Wikipedia. The width is a little bit harder, you need to search for pictures with people holding the weapon, you can estimate the real width by looking at the hands. Printing a 1:1 picture of the weapon is also very useful.
