Ohhkay, storytime, people!

It has been several years since the Reformation(shall we call it?) of Spherus Magna. The matoran and agori cultures, while still tense with each other are nonetheless thriving. A golden stalemate has been achieved-not peace, but close enough.

This is shattered (heh, pun) by the sudden collision of what at first seems like a meteorite at the north pole of the planet. Everything within 500 miles is instantly vaporised, and a good 1,000 miles put at risk. A team is quickly put together by the still uneasy Mata-Agor Alliance to look for survivors.

They find a heavily damaged great being ship. Their calculations suggest they came from outside the system, and while at their weakest, the Beings still show altruism. They claim to have been shot down, and seem peaceful enough, but are they really who they seem?

Another group of similar looking beings arrive on the planet, not long after, looking for the crashed ship, saying they are there to help, but are they really?

As tensions rise, old pacts are broken, secrets revealed, and these new comers finally unveil there true, horrifying intentions...

So y'can see: two sides(maybe more?)

The "Great Beings":The crashed team
:The searchers
The Rescue Team

The great beings are not necessarily THE GBs, so just refer to'em as aliens

Oh, and somepeople will have to be the leaders of the alien groop.

Alien_Leader (female)

Great Being_Captain (male)

What they look like, how they act (remember, they're not really good-moar evil) etc is the respoiility of the RPer.

If you do choose one of these parts, make sure you have someone one on the rescue team, otherways we'll have another Bota scenario with people's characters not due to appear until later chapters.

And it might be a good idea to write 'em in third person, or it'll be REALLY confusing...

Any other characters: use yer imagination! I hope to see the various SM species here, Vorox, Skrall etc.

Species:Cyborg Pseudo-GB
Gender:Male
Occupations:Assassin,[ship name]'s Lead Mechanic and Assistant Medic
Backstory:He has so many robotic prothsetic body parts, that only 7% of his original body remains(mostly his brain). He puts this to use as his new profession, a mechanic, engineer, and computer programmer. He has a uniqe ability to interact w/ certain machines- he can "plug" himself into machines and computers for a 1-of-a-kind hacking routine. he puts this to use for his job as the [Ship Name]'s Lead mechanic. (true) Rumor has it that he used to put his computer skills and stealth to work as a deadly assassin. He retains immortality through his mechanical body, but as a result, he loses his element. He is obsessed with keeping and maintaining his journals, for though he apears to be in the bionicle equivalent of his mid-30s, he is actually hundreds of thousands of years old.

Species: Great Being* ( or whatever the heck they are in this story)(* previously agori)
Gender: nale
Element: Aether(previously none agori inactive)
Occupation: research team conduit (explained real soon)
When the second ship landed no one thought it'd be like it was. He was on the research team that went to investigate the second crashed ship. He was one of the first to go down in the proceeding massacre. As he lied there dying in the sun a great silver figure appeared over him and and looked down with kindness. The Great Being was bleeding some of his golden blood landed on Kor Then the being laid his hands on him and all tyhe silver and light seemed to melt of him like liquid and onto Kor. Then he was gone and Kor blacked out. When he awoke he found himself quite like the Great Being who died over him. His mind was full of all sorts of knowledge he had never even conceived of he became one of them yet not for he still looked like he used to just taller and covered in silver light. His main power is his ability to change his forme he can also fly. ((yeah I know the story's kinda long and...odd but there it is.))

Here's one of Gat's old posts on alignments:

The Good/evil bits at the end work as follows, from supreme good to supreme evil:

LAWFUL GOOD: Your classic ye olde hero. Helps everyone they can, brave, and lives by their own code. Eg: Mata Nui, King Arthur

NEUTRAL GOOD: This type of character will do the best they can to help someone, without distrupting everything, but also will sometimes bend the rules.
Eg: Vakama, Churchill

CHAOTIC GOOD: This guy will defend their beliefs with their lives and try to save a life even when their own lives are in danger. They don't care about laws. If something is wrong, they fix it.
Eg: Kiina, Conan the Barbarian

LAWFUL NEUTRAL: Follows the law. Doesn't much care for good or evil, but follows the law.
Eg: Vahki, Computers

TRUE NEUTRAL: Very Zen. Basically a perfect balance. These guys usually keep separate from the hustle and bustle of daily life.
Eg: Keetongu, Zen Buddhists

CHAOTIC NEUTRAL: Usually a very jestful character, lives on their wits and doesn't much care for the established order. Often the sort of person who goes in for the finer things in life.
Eg: Ehrye, Most musicians

LAWFUL EVIL: Sidorak is a good example. Someone who keeps their own code, but is still a heartless evil XXXX.
Eg: Takadox, King Henry VIII

NEUTRAL EVIL: They do whatever they can get away with, and often will do ANYTHING for pay. Most Dark Hunters are Neutral Evil.
Eg: Nidhiki, Cats

CHAOTIC EVIL: This guy is a maniac and loves destruction and killing. He doesn't care about consequences. He craves blood and will do anything to get it. Usually considered insane.
Eg: Vezon, The Joker

Me: You dont't have to use any of these, but it should just give you a general idea of how things are.

I'm assuming your guy is not the leader of either of the ships, am I right?

Oh, and specify which side he's on plz. I can't tell.

Know-it-All Good-Thinks they are smarter than everyone else(sometimes its true) and uses their knowledge to help the greater good. e.g Steve Jobs

Know-it-All Neutral-Very intelligent, and using this to their advantage in life e.g D'mrali,Myself

Know-it-All Evil-Using this intelligence for contribution to evil forces, to mess w/ peoples' heads and start wars. e.g most politicians,Roodaka(I think thats how you spell it)

Overconfident Good-Too sure of oneself, they think they are more powerful then they really are, and use this nonexistent power to contribute to good causes.e.g Mabtren

Over Confident Neutral- Still too sure of oneself, wants to use imaginary power to make a mark on the world.e.g The main character in many adventure games, Takua

Evil groups generally shun Overconfident people.

Mab' is on the RT, while D'mrali is a fake GB. BTW, what do the "GBs" want w/ Spherius? (cough world domination coughcough)

And no, neither is the leader of either groups.

I know this sounds like an insult but this seems more like a set story than something people can play around with I.E. roleplay. Personally I don't want to be stuck in someone else's story with them bearing sown on me when I try to deviate from their design.

Ship that crashes(Alien): The Foreshadow

One that lands after(Great Beings): The Aurora

Yeah...just to confuse you: The second ship contains ACTUAL Gbs.

Whoever decides to be the alien leader gets to decide who the aliens are, what they look like (biped plz)and why they're at war with the GBs...

Righty-oh. My turn.

Name:Enias
Race:Makuta
Male
Element: Shadow(and a bit of everything else)
Kanohi: Pseudo-kraaktan

Enias was the Lead Engineer on the aethership the Tomorrow, under the alias "Mandragora". Member of the Alumni, a driftaway branch of the Nyrah Ghosts, who suceeded in putting an island into orbit while still in the matoran universe. Was also responsble for Operation Skyguard-a section of the Tomorrow that was to stay in orbit above the planet.

Name:Gaile
Race:Skrall
Female
Element:slightly psionic

A ruthlessly brilliant general, Gaile used a mixture of trickery and psionics to climb the ladders of the skrall empire, tricking her commanders into thinking she was male. When the matoran arrived, she was quick to secure alligance with them, uniting the Skrall Sisterhood with the empire. Her actions eventually lead to the Skrall Paradigm, the Order and the Alumni co-operating as the Troika.
Since the leader of the Alumni died during the reformation, Gaile quickly took the position for herself. She is considered extremly powerful, second only to Artarhka

"uniting the Skrall Sisterhood with the empire. Her actions eventually lead to the Skrall Paradigm"

ROFLMFAO! My Character Ronin, who I was planing to thrown in here, was a named skrall thrown out for trying to stop the division and supporting the sisterhood, set out on a mission both for himself and the new leader of the Skrall to do that after Tuma's defeat. In that particular universe, the Skrall had split into two groups, the True Skrall and those that would follow the Makuta. Whether he succeeded or not never came to be, as the first BRC fell silent not long after the plan was set in motion XD.

Yeah...Sorry I didn't see that comment earlier.

What happens here is actually pretty flexible. Only one thing major to my storyline I feel HAS to happen. As I said, who ever picks to be the Alien leader has to decide what they are called what they look like and why they are at war with the Great Beings. I'm leaving that to someone else.

That basic outline at the top of the page is just that. It's pretty basic. I don't want a set storyline-that's why I'm letting someone else create the aliens. It's also why I've been so vague, to give some room for developement during the actual story.

But that isn't an excuse for changings of whole sections of it.

Of course, hopefully the whole thing will lead up to war or something similarly violent XD

Her method was to trick others into thinking she is not there meaning she would be able to walk right past enemy lines unseen. She became involved with other tribes that were building an armada of warships to increase their odds. She became captain of a ship that was named The Foreshadow. She met the crew on the day of the strike. When they reached the outer atmosphere the ship was fired on ,weapons damaged, so with no way to attack they fled and crashed

Eh. Not really. The Rakala are the Lawful good of the galaxy. They spend decades studying a race via stealth probes before sending a first contact team to have it go smoothly, and do not present themselves as something they aren't. And the Necra Minor story line was their first contact with beings even remotely similar to Matoran and agori.

I could TOTALLY imagine a conversation between D'mrali and Mandagoria! Once upon an Idea...

"... Y'see, your forgetting the base of my Dark Matter Subatomic Mechanics Theory. You have to charge the material with electrons and neutrons-"

"-Which is where my Theory takes affect. The neutrons discharge the electrons, resulting in a Dark Matter atom."

"Of course, but we need to find a way to mass-produce the Matter. A complicated process to produce a SINGLE atom of the stuff, Y'know, is simply inefficient."

FINE! I'll cut his head off and he'll be toa sized... that would actually be counter productive... nevermind :P

The Bakarians are reptilian bionic creatures whose bionic enhancements give some powers similar to a toa. The Bionic side stems from self-repairing nanites that increase their lifetime durability, senses making whatever technology they had before the breakdown of their civilization was ahead of the great being, these nanites are passed from parent to child resulting in being bionic even before birth. This breakdown resulted in the loss of most of their technology (excluding the nanites and the technology used on D'mrali) which lead to less scientific views on the world and more religous and tribal ways. Society is basically many tribes spread across the planet, although most name their children with a letter, an apostrophe and then 4 or 5 letters.
onto the appearance:
they are armoured reptilian looking with legs like that of an ostrich, three clawed toes on each foot, three long, clawed fingers and a thumb, they have two eyes (varied eye colours) and can have 2 to 3 horns. Males have longer horns and are taller than normal toa by a head and have darker skin/armour whilst females are the height of a normal toa, have long hair growing from the back of their heads and are more muscular

EDIT: (sorry I forgot to type this)
the number of horns is relative to their (keeping in mind I'll be using human terms and their lives last much longer)
a child has no horns as the horns begin growth and are a sign of entering their form of puberty where only one horn grows, the second horn begins growth what comparatively is their thirties and the final horn in their comparative forties

Muscular what? Do they look like the Rakshi? Is it a collection of warring nations or an organized planetary empire?

On D'mrali's apearance and characteristics:

D'mrali's sports a "Fu Man Chu" Mustache(T'least that's what the mask I used looks like) And some armor. He looks like Toa Whenua, kinda, but taller.

D'mrali is one of the smartest, most educated members of the Bakarians currently alive. His cybernetic body provides an immunity to most biological debuffs(Poison, Disease, etc.) His only organic weakness is brain-related debuffs, such as brain diseases, or mental afflictions(cronic confusion, flash blindness, lack of sleep). He can uniqely interact with mechanisms, Inserting his concusness into the machine. In affect, he can hack into robots and computers, and,if successful, he can control them(this doesn't work against other cyborgs). He can safely contend with Visorak, for he is immune to their poison, and thus cannot be Hordika'd.

If you don't know what a Fu Man Chu is, Google it. And of course he's before the sort-of apocalypse of the Bakarians. He used to be Grey and Gunmetal Silver(Element=Zinc)

An idea for the Bakarians' color-coding;
Color=Element
Base elements=Blue, Red, White etc.
Red and Black=Psionics
Grey and Gunmetal=Zinc
Yellow and Gold=Gold(duh)
Green and [Any Metal]=Acid
White and Black=Sound

Any other ideas?

Moar details!

D'mrali's "blood" consists of a Potassium-Silicon solution that powers his systems 24/7. He is absolutely OBSESSED w/ maintaining his journals; for they are his only way of maintaining his memories. 86% of his neural capacity is occupied by his more recent memories, 9% occupied by how to do the day-to-day, the remaining 5% occupied w/ whatever he's doing. By comparison, the average Human Being uses only 10% of his/her mental storage.

Gotta better spelling: Bhakarians. Oh, and you wouldn't call them Bhakarians. Bhakari would be the plural, and Bhakarian the singular.

I quite like the nanite thing, but it seems a little too Star Trek Borg. A biological virus, something like that instead?

What do their faces look like? I'm assuming the legs are simply like ostritch legs, y'know, double jointed.

As for Killer Q's idea on the element colours... it might be better to have colours as representing tribes. Different tribe means different elemental domain.

And let's not stick to M.U powers. Be imaginative.

Actually, the Bhakari would have to be vaguely technologically advanced to be able to impress the matoran, and to be able to fly the ship. They could have been such, but then the arrival of less nice Great Beings caused sparks to fly as the GBs attempted to rule over them and repressed their advancing tech.

I kinda wanted the Bhakari-GB war to be something that had been going on for some time.

Yeah, I like that. Two quite technologically advanced races, one tribal, the other organised, battling for the control of one planet. The Bhakari could then steal a GB ship and try to replicate the mechanics involved, develop some ether-crafts and take the war to space.

Then a GB ship successfully shoots dahn a Bhakari ship, the Foreshadow. This then crashes onto the surface of S.M.

Na’vesh is the second-in-command on the Bhakari ship, the Foreshadow. He belongs to a tribe of telekinetics on their planet, and was chosen for the mission (whatever it is) because of his highly advanced powers and fascination with the stars. He is extremely cunning and is a very skilled orator, able to turn most arguments and discussions to his favor. The only weapon he ever really carries around with him is a ring of keys, but is also very handy with a spear.

Name:General Merinalas(mur-in-i-al-as)
Element:Psionics
Occupation:Second-in-Command of the GB ship
Alignment:Seemingly Lawful Neutral but actually Lawful evil
Personality:Manipulative and obedient at the same time
Species:GB
Backstory:She seems to follow orders from the Cap'n but Actually is using her psionics to run the whole show. She ranks at Lt. Brigadier and is the most powahful Military operative in the war against the Bakarians(though few know it). She thinks of Bakar's natives as a race of foul pests that need to be exterminated. She is a particular rival of D'mrali.(lol, she and Gaile could get along niceley) Her weapons are two hand-crafted swords(more rare than you might think-GBs know the secrets of Mass-Production),named Consequences and Punishment. Consequences has an adjustable handle, making it the more versatile of the 2. Punishment has a chain close to the hilt, and is electrified, making it the deadlier of the pair.

Kyrinz is one of those who remember the time of the Shattering of Spherus Magna with fondness. After all, it was he who was one of the main designers of the matoran and toa, and was one of the few to guess that their creations would gain sentience. As a result, he is dismayed that the war is going to be unleashed upon the newly reformed world. He repeatedly tries to give hints to the agori and matoran to warn them of the impending danger (maybe, maybe not?). He works as the head mechanic on the ship, and knows the inner workings of the ship back to front.

The GB Captain!

Name: Valces (Val-kez)
Gender: Male
Race: Great Being
Occupation: Captain of the GB ship, "Vanguard"
Primary/Secondary Element: Earth/Iron
Short Bio: A born Leader, almost literally, Valces was chosen as a Flight Commander of an Interstellar Vessel in the Great Being Armada. He is a brutish and proud but fair enforcer of justice and order on his ship, and does not deal well with conflicting authority. He is a skilled and ruthless fighter in combat, keeping to his powers and hand-to-hand techniques.

Species: GB
Race: overLord
Gender: Uneeded though referred to as "He" (He's an overlord they have no need for such things as gender.)
Element: Aether
Alignment: Lawful Neutral

Altross is the captain of the of the GB ship. As an overlord it means the threat level of the current hostilities between the bkharians has been elevated. He was created when he evolved farther than the need for an actual form so he simply inhabits the ship. He uses the ship to bring about a physical shape when needed. He is currently under the influence of his treasonous first mate who has a device limiting his control on the ship he is completely aware of this but her psionics keep him from alerting anyone on or off the ship.

Amalcrus was sent to the Bhakarian crash site as a medic to give aid to the survivors. He was also one of the few who noticed that the damage on the ship was not just from their crash landing. He was able to put two and two together when the Great Being ship landed not long afterward. Realizing what was in store, he began to form a small, secretive group that would wait for the war to would break out. That way, they thought, the Spherus Mangans (?) wouldn’t be caught by surprise.

(Maybe this could happen? This way the puny matoran/toa/agori/glatorian won't be completely crushed by the opposing forces)

Quoting Unownrule the disappearing rat-fish
Has anybody here ever seen gurren lagann? This war between the aliens ( I'm never going to remember their names) could be like it was in the show but it's still going on. Personally I am complete disinterested in the aliens and my olny question is How would the GBs appear? like forms of light? or could they choose their forms.

I've heard of Gurren Lagan(it's on NetFlix) but I haven't seen it. I'm pretty sure the GBs choose their physical dimensions.

2) Get more people. Someone need to be a GB cpatain. Not one of you lot, someone who hasn't had chance yet

OH! That reminds me! What do you know about the Arcanea Tempus? Shadow mentioned it earlier.

Quoting Dr. Clockhopper
Name: Amalcrus
Gender: Male
Species: Glatorian
Element: Ice
Affiliation: Lawful Good

Amalcrus was sent to the Bhakarian crash site as a medic to give aid to the survivors. He was also one of the few who noticed that the damage on the ship was not just from their crash landing. He was able to put two and two together when the Great Being ship landed not long afterward. Realizing what was in store, he began to form a small, secretive group that would wait for the war to would break out. That way, they thought, the Spherus Mangans (?) wouldn’t be caught by surprise.

(Maybe this could happen? This way the puny matoran/toa/agori/glatorian won't be completely crushed by the opposing forces)

We need peeps for the rescue team, but you have a LOT of chars'. Sure you can handle it?

Right! Deconfusion time!

First thing: I'm afraid no-one can have three characters. I was pushing it a bit for two(and only if one of them was either a Bhakari or a GB.) I'm sorry, but it's impossible to have three characters. It would be so confusing. Those of you who do have three, pick the two you like the most, one of them being someone on a ship. This precaution is simply to avoid a Bota scenario, so, before you ask, you can't have two SM characters. I hate to be harsh, but we have to stop somewhere.

Ben, I'm going to pick your character as the GB Captain for the simple reason that Unowrule has already got a character.
It might be a good idea to make a SM character, so we don't get confused. It's also now yer responsibility to decide why the Gbs are at war with the Bhakari.

Various Chs:

D'mrali_Bhakari
Na'vesh_Bhakari
J'kril_Bhakari(You might want to feminize that name.)
Merinialas_GB
Valces_GB
Kyrinz_GB
Kor _Agori
Mabtren_Glatorian
Amalcrus_Glatorian
Ghaile_Skrall
Ronin_Skrall
Enias_Makuta

It would be nice to see a Vorox, too.

No more GB/Bhakari part from this point than there already is. We have enough.

Bhakari File:

Planet name: Gaia Magna

Appearance: Akin to that of a zyglak with rahkshi head(face idea here:http://hero-factory.blogspot.co.uk/2012/01/thornraxx-set-review-breakout.html) Vaguely reptilian skin, some have armour.
Biography:

The Bhakari were a relatively peaceful race, if tribal, with technology approaching the level of the Great Beings. The Great Beings saw this, and landed on the planet in force, releasing a powerful bio-nanite virus designed to kill the Bhakari.

The Bhakari fought back. They used the virus for their own purposes, changing their own DNA, and breeding themselves for war. Their efforts went toward making weapons and after managing to make their own space armarda, learnt of a Great Beings secret-something buried in the desert of Spherus Magna,

This was a war that would last for several decades, and see a Bhakari ship crash into Spherus Magna.

M'kay, I'll bag Mabtren. Man, I'm not enjoying this. Way to ruin the fun, no offense. and I have a way to prevent a Bota from happening- have 2 situations going at once. e.g.

Aww yeaah. Valces is Flight Commander. I think he'll make for a fun character.

As for the GB/Bhakari War...well, the Red Star was something that always intrigued me as an aspect of canon. I think it's something to look into for this War...

~5 Minutes of Research Later~

HmMMMMmmm...Well, I don't want to jump any guns but, I think I may be able to add another idea into the mix; the Kestora (http://bionicle.wikia.com/wiki/Kestora)

I won't be so bold as to make a character for them, but I do think that this is something to look at, considering that the Red Star was apparently designed to guide the Mata Nui robot through Interstellar space...

I think so, but I'll keep the "secret society" in the background until the war actually starts. That way, there will be much less confusion and clutter.

Name: A'zaiah
Occupation: Soldier of the Foreshadow
Gender: Male
Species: Bhakarian
Backstory: A'zaiah is a soldier of the teleportation tribe, dark gray and white in color, one of many others aboard the Foreshadow before it's crash landing. He kept mostly to himself and avoided the rest of the crew as often as possible, little is known about him or his habits. His teleportation is limited by range and whether he can see or has seen the location he wishes to jump to.

Name:Ronin
Race: Skrall
Male
Prior to the reformation of Spherus Magna, Ronin was a powerful mercenary arena champion and caravan guard. He could be hired by anyone, at the price of food and shelter for himself and his war-mount. After Tuma's defeat, he returned to his people to attempt to reunite the sisterhood and the empire. Limited success helped lay the ground work for Gaile's reunification of the two not long later. After the reforming of Spherus Magna, Ronin took up work as security for the Troika.

Name: Zaariah Vau
Occupation: Lieutenant in the Order, second in command under Ronin on the recon team
Gender: Male
Species: Vortixx
Back-story: Zaariah was one of many Vortixx to evacuate from the Mata-Nui robot and joined the inhabitants of Spherus Magna. He was old friends with Ronin and several other natives, and has been a member of the Order since. Before Teridax took over, however, he was an enforcer for the Dark Hunters, tracking down members that tried to cut and run, or people that owed the organization a substantial debt.

Zaariah has made several modifications to his armor. He has a strong resistance to electricity and shocks, the addition of two seamlessly integrated ARC projectors in his forearm plates. These can shoot bolts of lightning over a distance of several meters or be used to electrify parts of his armor when ambushed. He has a set of four jump jets to soften a long fall or reach a typically inaccessible area, as well as a tactical range finder attached to the side of his head, though this is removable.

For the mission he had brought an automated turret, four stun and emp grenades and a directed energy shotgun.
