Anything not to do with the story should be put in ((Double brackets)). Speech of the characters should be put in "speech marks", thoughts/telepathy in *asterisks* and so on. Anything said in a language other than matoran should be put in [square brackets]. For example, your character may speak Makuta Shadowtongue, Skakdi, or can communicate with Rahi. On top of that, regular universal rules of english grammar apply.

Out of character things put in double brackets would be things like ((Hi, how are you?)), ((That's right, right? Gravity powers would let him do that?)) and ((Uh, Jake, I don't think this is fair.)).

JAKE'S JOB
Since Jake approves each character, perhaps it would benefit you to know how he does. He follows two basic guidelines: One: Will the character fit into the story as a canon character? Obviously, if the story is about glatorian, for example, you cannot have a matoran character. His other guideline is the "too powerful" rule. If a character is too powerful, or has absolutely no flaws, they won't be allowed as that character will not make things fair for the others in the group. Don;t worry though: if your chartacter isn't allowed, we WILL tell you why. Oh, and another thing: havign a character who goes into uncontrollable, invincible rages isn't allowed either. That's just plain mean. You should be wary that your characters are not invincible. You can decide whther they die or get knocked out, but they can get injured when things get violent.

FIGHTING
Battles must be written as you would write actions anywhere else. Describe their actions and moves in as much gristly detail as possible. In battles against another Player Character (Or PC), don't try to control the enemy character's actions too much; let the player whose character it is return by having their character do their own moves. Take it in turns. A good ploy is to leave the success of a risky move to chance. Say ((Think it'd hit?)) or something at the end, as well as saying what would happen if it worked. The other person would have to make a MATURE DECISION as to whether he wants it to happen or not. If it will kill his character, the answer will probably be "no". If it would just damage him, he'd say what would happen and why, and then return with his characters own moves.

MULTIPLE STORIES
We will not have too many multiple stories going at once. That is how the first BRC went out of control. If we want to start a new one, and there are too many already running, we would have to vote and decide which story we want to end before starting a new one.

NEW THREADS
Only Jake is allowed to post new story threads. In the old BRC, I was as well, but tbh that just caused a bit too much confusion.
Threads to just talk about random stuff and conversations not to do with the stories can be started by pretty much anyone.

POSTING TIMES
Please try to post whenever you can to continue the story. We don't all have to be online at the same time (although that helps), but leaving the group for days on end is best avoided when possible. I suggest that if yopu do want to join a story, you add this group to your internet favourites for easy access.

MULTIPLE CHAR'S
Having multiple characters in one story is possible, but avoid it. It causes confusion, again, and leads to things getting chaotic. A pet, vehicle, mount or droid for your character isn't the same. Those are fine. And obviously havign one character in each story is also fine. In fact, we would like it if you did. The more the merrier!

Should I join later in a story? Or is it a bad idea? Its not too late to join killers in the dark, right?
