HEY! Who's group is this anyway? Not a bad idea though...

Alright, here's what we do people. For a nomination to count you need to LINK to the creation that you're nominating. Links are easy here. All you have to do is copy and paste it.

NO NOMINATIONS FROM NOW ON WILL BE ACCEPTED WITHOUT LINKS!

Get to it people!

Thanks for getting the ball rolling Mark (even though I had to moderate this for some reason). And remember everyone, this is not your "votes" just nominees. So there's no need to change anything if someone posts something else that's worthy, just add to it. Maybe it's time for me to get my nominations in huh?

I agree with the nominations of yourself, but it would be like me promoting myself as best new comer. Wait. Oops, I think I just self promoted. There are better newcomers though.

Just my humble opinion here, but isn't it a little strange to self-nominate? Self-nomination could lead to huge lists of undeserving nominees. Obviously Kelso's and Phipson's self-nominations don't fit that bill, they are more than deserving, but I think you guys are opening the door for some trouble. Again, just my humble opinion.

I agree with you 100%! And that's why I'm going to check out the self nominations and if it's not up to snuff, then I'll take it upon myself to "politely" let the person know and delete the nomination. In commander Fed's case, I checked out his MOC myself and TOLD him to self nominate. I also added him in my own list of nominations.

Word to the wise here people, listen to the good Emperor. If your self nomination is REALLY not as good as you think, don't nominate it. Why do you think I didn't self nominate "Ivory Twilight" in castle or Microscale... it's NOT GOOD ENOUGH! Just be sure...

Apparently there is confusion. In your instructions Chris, you say that the same person cannot win the same cateogy twice in a row. This is the way that it works in the annual Classic-Castle contest for master builder. Probably why we haven't seen as many Darkspawn castles in 2008 as we did in 2007. The last comment you made sounds like its on a MOC basis not on a builder basis.

You got it. It's based on MOC's not builders (expect for Moccer of the year in which case I need to take Kelso of that list... nothing personal Mark). In short, you my good professor, are eligible to win in the castle category, just not the moc that was entered last year. You put in a lot of work this year and you should be recognized for that. Oh, and after a conversation with Mr. Kenney, I may be adding one more category. I'll start a new thread if I do add it. Now, get back to finding nominations!

I think we'll all agree that Firas Deserves the best car award.

I agree with all the nominations you have listed so far. I can't think or find anything that's been missed so far, but I'll keep an eye out. I would, however, like to nominate the 2008 Mocie Awards - http://mocpages.com/moc.php/67672. I'm not sure what category that would be, Best Theme maybe? First off, it was funny, but better yet, it brought a big chunk of the community together and deserves some recognition.

Thank you very much. I'll put it under either misc. or on going theme. *blushes* thank you.

No problem, last year there was a community event category or something like that (MOCtag won). I didn't see that category here, but I'm sure you can squeeze it one of the categories.

Thank you Nate, but that moc was made before the cutoff date. It's not eligible this year. Thanks for the nod though and I'm glad you liked it.

Only MOCs made between July 2008 to May 2009 will be eligible for the awards. I will be accepting nominations until May. If something really special pops up after May, it can be added to the ballot (being as the awards are technically through June) but it really needs to be a stand out moc to be added that late. There's a lot of work involved behind the scenes (I've been working on this for about 2 hours already today... and we still have 2 months in nominations to go). Get those nominations in everyone!

In an effort to keep this as organized as possible, I'm going to lock this thread and start a new nomination thread. Please add all further nominations to "Nominations, take 2".

Thanks for everyone's input so far. This is turning out better than I expected.
