Nominations are over
 Group admin
Alright boys and girls, the nomination phase of the 2009 Mocie Awards is over. I'll be spending the next week or so narrowing down the list and getting it ready for voting. How am I narrowing it down you ask? Simple, I sent out copies of the nominations to a large group and asked them voice their opinions.

Here comes the inevitable "But Chris, that isn't fair!"...

Yes it is actually. Everyone had a chance to nominate whomever and whatever they liked. That entire list was forwarded to a VERY large group of people. They are going to look over it and tell me who they think are the best 4 or 5 in each category. Then I'm going to take the top 4 (5 if there's a tie) and that will be our voting list.

I will post the list on or before May 13th. Voting will be open from May 13th to June 3rd. After June 3rd, I will tally the votes and get to building the awards. I'm hoping to have everything done by the first week of July.

And your next question should be, "How do we vote?" I've already set up a seperate E-Mail account for voting. I'll be posting that address along with the voting ballot on May 13th. Till then, sit back, relax and hold tight.

Good luck to all the nominees! ~ Chris.

Ok, so, I posted my best moc last Tuesday, and nobody (as far as I know) nominated it. I know that means it is ineligible for this year, but because I uploaded in April, does that mean it is ineligible for next year's awards too?

If you're talking about "Legacy" then that moc has already been put before a panel of judges to see if it should be added to the list. I didn't forget about you. It's still in the running for this years awards. Let's see if it makes the final list.

I would personally nominate Andrea's Venator over your's, Tom; but I'm not here to start a fight. I'd push it for the nomination this year, because it will be forgotten by next year.

I don't think so; most of your stuff is in the sci-fi category, and due to the many other builders in that category, it's quite hard to get in. I mean, we're talking Mark Kelso SHIPs here.

Just keep improving!

She sounds like an interesting person. And yes, that it one of the reasons I enjoy this site. Over here, people are very nice, but they are also willing to dish out some serious criticism when needed. Plus, the Mocpages community is really diverse.

Exactly. I've met people on here from places I never knew existed, like Germany, Puerto Rico, and Oregon! JK. But exactly anyway, you hit the nail on the head without my little joke.

Andrea´s Venator is wrong, the correct form is Andreas´ Venator. Just to correct that , because Andrea is more female, in opposite to Andreas, thats male. A special thanks by the way, and no, I haven´t forgot about the connection of my Venator and you.
Sorry, that was a typo. My bad, Andreas.

The Northern Suburbs are quite nice if I do say so myself. I've been up there a couple 'o times. I reside in the Western Suburbs. But, I find it easier to say I live in Chicago than the Western Suburbs of the Chicagoland Area.
Let's see....Northern Suburbs...that's in the vicinity of Lake County, if memory serves. They have some beautiful wildlife up there. Where I am, the closest we have to forests are small groups of pine trees jumbled onto a small intersection island. So Chris, here's a question that might be tough for ya.
Cubs or Sox?

Nice area. I lived in Clearwater for about a year and then moved south to Venice and then Cape Coral before deciding to venture north... Did I mention I miss Florida? Stay there. It's better.

Good advice. Far my 14 years so far, i've managed to stick to that advice. I just never really enjoyed "America's Pasttime". I'm more of a walk in the park, sniff some flowers kind of guy. Kidding.
I for one enjoy watching football and College Basketball.

Clearwater's quite a nice little town. My grandparents have a condominium there, so we visit there quite often. I'm thinking of moving down there when i'm older.

I don't really like Basketball, but my dad and I have this tradition of watching at least 2 games a week. As for football, I love it. I play it too, and i'm pretty good at it.

I kinda like football. I can play it and I am kinda good at it (I am un-tackle-able). But I don't enjoy watching it at all.

Bears fan? I may live in Chicago, but I absolutely despise the Bears. The way the organization is run is terrible, the team just plain stinks.
And the Packers. I was a big Packers fan, but I think Brett Favre was the guy that held that team together. Without him, it'll be interesting to see what happens. I know they already went a season without him, but, I think the team isn't gonna do well. Nonetheless, I will root for 'em.
I'm an Arizona Cardinals fan, I also like the Baltimore Ravens and the Steelers. I think the Cardinals should've won the Super Bowl. That last call was bad, and it took one of the luckiest catches in history for the Steelers to win.
