Round 2 "opponents"
 Group admin
You'll notice it says "opponents" and not "matches"...

A suggestion was brought up to me by one of the players that we post who would be facing whom in the next round early but without the categories. We took a vote with the judges and decided that this would be a lot of fun for two reasons. One, we canít wait to see some of the smack talk over the next few days until the round is posted and two, we REALLY want to see some of you poop yourselves! (Yes, we ARE evil. Thanks for asking).

Now, before you scroll down to see who your opponent is (even though you already have without bothering to read this. And weíll know who you are when next round you ask us why so and so isnít going against this person cause thatís how it was hereÖ) these matchups are in no particular order. I spent a good 20 minutes jumbling them up so you canít figure out who (if you win) your next opponent would be. When we post them with your matchups next week, they will be in order then.

Let the smack talk (and pooping) begin!

I just copied and pasted from Bones' original post. We can still blame him here. HAHAHA I'll change it (AND I'll change it on the master sheet so it's right from now on.)

(Still not sure if it's a capitol I or a lower case L being as they show up the same here...)

Apparently, a simple message didn't make it through.

The categories were set in the brackes BEFORE the matches were.

3 different lists (categories, 1st player and 2nd player for each match) were made by 3 different judges separately so the assignments are completely random.

I must say thats an interesting way to randomly assign matches.

Thanks.
Also, the names were mixed at random by those judges. The same thing could not be done with categories, which were chosen from a group of 129, randomized, then re-arranged (before knowing the players) to avoid redundancy as much as possible (eg. 2 landscapes in 2 subsequent rounds), and to account (when possible) for difficulty.

All in all, we went out of our way to be fair and neutral.

What Matt is trying to say here is that he doesn't want to get beaten by somebody who uses smoke, mirrors and barrel-scraping humour to hide the fact that his builds are mediocre at best. But that's fine - I view myself as a frustrated writer who has found a medium to clumsily illustrate his own prose, whereas there are some builder's who I do believe are genuine visual artists; sculptural, technical, interpretive even.

And they are all getting crushed beneath my boot too. Hahahahaha.....

Actually, you're right...basically. Except I don't feel your builds are mediocre in the least *COUGH*TBB*COUGH* and that you're just being modest. Either that, or its a calculated game face designed to convince your future opponents you're no threat. (That seems more likely, bes watch out for Stu you lot!).
No, the reason I'd hate to come up against a story-teller is because the ability to convey a strong literary purpose greatly supplements a build's quality, to the point that it becomes impossible to compete with. I try to write humorously, and indeed I fancy myself a writer - but not with LEGO. When building, it's like my brain's right hemisphere takes over control of all signals to deal with shapes and colors and logic, while my left hemisphere is temporarily locked in a closet somewhere, reading Chaucer to itself.

Eloquently put Matt, and likewise I think you too sell yourself short there - my left hemisphere wouldn't touch Chaucer, not when there is Alan Moore or Frank Miller to be had. The funny books are always easier to pick up than the classics.

And of course it's all game face - if I put out enough conflicting info and ambiguous nearly-smack, nobody will know how to take me.

16 hours. I'm going through them now, checking for typos and what not (there's still gonna be some of course but a guy can try right?)

Get ready everyone... the time is close at hand.

Well, I'm in no hurry. Between this and trying to finish, photograph, and post a new build (which I think is pretty awesome) I need a second to catch my breath before I CRUSH MY OPPONENT (and eat some bacon. Shifu? Bust out the grill)!

The sun'll come out
Tomorrow
Bet your bottom dollar
That tomorrow
There'll be sun!

Just thinkin' about
Tomorrow
Clears away the cobwebs,
And the sorrow
'Til there's none!

When I'm stuck a day
That's gray,
And lonely,
I just stick out my chin
And Grin,
And Say,
Oh!

The sun'll come out
Tomorrow
So ya gotta hang on
'Til tomorrow
Come what may
Tomorrow! Tomorrow!
I love ya Tomorrow!
You're always
A day
A way!

All smack-talk aside, I think you'll do great! I seriously love your Veto Squad stuff.
