Here we go, time for the great Royal Rumble that starts it all!

For this round, we are using "open" categories, giving you a very loose concept that you can meet in any way you choose. You may have seen a similar method in the "Mob Rules" recently hosted by Shannon Young.
Being this the case, you can see how questions about categories will be dismissed with a short burst of laughter.

Your entries will be judged on a 1-10 basis by 3 of us. Be creative, be smart and give it all you got: only the 64 top scoring contestants will pass to Round 2!
NOTE: your standings here will not affect your matching positions in R2. That will still be random.

You will find your name under one of the categories. THAT is your category for the eliminatories.
Time frame for the eliminitaroies is august 6th to august 15th midnight, MOCpages time. Anything built and/or posted out of this frame is void.

ADDENDUM:
-For your safety, an entry for the Round 1 Eliminatories will be considered valid and reviewed by the judges only once a LINK to said entry is posted in the "R1 Official Entries" thread http://www.mocpages.com/group_conversation.php?id=12864&topicid=54364

Requirements:
-You must build in your theme (duh!)
-You must not fail to meet the time frame (duh!)
-Your entry must include a WORKING LINK to the MOC Olympics' main group, so that we know that you can make one in later rounds when the judges really need it.
-Your entry's title must be " Your Initials - MOC Olympics R1 – Name Of Your Category", so Jason's case here it would go like " JC - MOC Olympics R1 – Silly Me" (Your initials are needed so the entries titles are not exactly the same)

As you all are (hopefully) aware, the upgrades are in progress right now. The final "issue" is that the pics need to be transfered from the old server to the new one and as such, a lot of the newer mocs haven't been switched over yet (which is why we're getting the "image processing" message). I'll be scoring the mocs that are visible. The ones that are "still processing" will have to wait a day or so for the full upgrades to take effect.

Ok thanks, hopefully i can get a moc up in between football practices, the trainer for my shoulder and not having internet at my house, and useing the library or my dads office. Maybe that can get me some more points, jk it has to be fair.
