2010 MocOlympics tentative schedule.
All dates are subject to change.
Round one:
Eliminatories Battle Royal!
Friday, August 6th to Sunday Aug 15th.
This will be a free for all where players will be split up in to groups of 5 to 10 and given a category to build in. You will NOT be playing against those in your group but will be judged on a point system. The top 64 will go on to play in the following “moc-off” style rounds for the remainder of the games.
Round Two:
Aug 26th to Sunday Sept 5th.
First round of one on one competition. There will be two groups of 32 players each paired up against each other. You will have three judges per group for this round and will need two votes to advance to the next round.
Round Three:
Sept 10th to Sept 19th.
The remaining 32 players will again be paired up. You will have three judges for your group for this round and will need 2 votes to advance.
Round Four:
Sept 24th to Oct 3rd
The remaining 16 players will be paired up for this round. Still in two groups and will need 2 votes to advance to the next round.
Round Five:
Oct. 8th to Oct. 17th.
The remaining 8 players will be paired up for this round. You will have 5 judges for this round and will need 3 votes to advance.
(Note: I will be on vacation from Monday Oct. 18th to Sunday Oct. 24th and will NOT have access to a computer. If there’s an issue that the judges can’t resolve they have my number. Other than that, what they say goes during this time. They will be posting round 6 in my absence but everything will be sorted out and ready before I leave. I will be available for questions until Oct. 17th.)
Round Six:
Oct. 22nd to Oct. 31st
The final four will square off in the semi finals! You will have 6 judges for this round and will need 4 votes to advance. IF there is a tie, we will bring in a special guest judge to break the tie. (No, we’re not telling you who it is, so don’t ask.)
Round Seven:
Nov. 5th to Nov 14th
The final round! You will have seven judges (again no, we’re not going to tell you who the seventh is) for this round and will need 4 votes to be declared the 2010 MocOlympics Grand Champion!
Again, all dates and information are subject to change but this is what we’re hoping for. The winner SHOULD be announced by November 17th.
