Questions about homepages
Join to comment
Hey everyone, thought I'd add a new topic to this forum, where people can ask questions about their homepages, things they're confused about etc...

Anyway, I must say I'm rather curious with how the "No of visits" works. It obviously doesn't count every visitor, as my number has been constant for many months. And yet it is a positive number, which means it must have incremented sometime in the past! Hmm...

Ideas, anyone?

Everyone, feel free to add your own questions or queries as well. This is a large group, so I'm sure someone knows the answers. :)

Do you mean groups that you're a part of? In that case, at the top of the group's homepage, in the blue title space there is a button that says "leave this group". If you mean groups that you created however (and are the admin), I wouldn't be sure, as I haven't created any groups personally.

I'm not very experienced in HTML myself, so I wouldn't know. I know there are people in this group that are experienced with that kind of thing, so we'll just have to wait until they reply. Otherwise, just search on Google (or another search engine). There are plenty of tutorials for learning HTML around...

Has anyone ever noticed that the displayed number 'smileys' (people that like the creation) is always one less than the actual number? I.e., when an MOC is first uploaded, two people need to 'like' a creation before it displays just one 'smiley face'.

It just seems a little strange...

Oh, and I'm still waiting for an answer to my first enquiry. :)

Ya, I've always noticed that both the homepage visit thing never changes, (mine has said 724 for months, while my flagcounter gets like 10 more a day) and that you need to log out and rate your creation yourself in order to make the smiley count true.

You need to write <marquee> YOUR TEXT HERE </marquee>.

You make text move by typing <marquee> before the text you want to make move and </marquee> after the text.

Hi there! How do I put videos on Mocpages?

If you scroll right down to the bottom of the page, you'll find a "help" button. (it's next to "Sean's blog")
That will take you to a FAQ on MOCpages. Theres a topic on uploading videos there, as well as a wealth of other information.
