For the category "Apocalypse", can I deal with the category also in christian/biblical/whatever sense or must it deal, I say it a little bit plump, with the classical "WW 3" idea?
Because the name of the category "Apocalypse" is in my opinion a bit vague.
Thanks

This is the comment from you on my entry:

You posted a AMAZING build (basically one of the BEST Clone Wars battles I've ever seen), and you went through the effort of actually writing the storyline of a Clone Wars episode. Still, a single frame out of a whole episode is barely in theme ("Clone Wars - Create your own Clone Wars episode") so I can't really give this more than a 3. Too bad, since this is one of the few CW MOCs I really ilke.

That is my own story, everything is made up. Argus is not a real world in the Republic or Separatist for that matter, please explain

I asked this in the last thread, but never got an official answer:

If one of our entries to the Mocathalon is a continuation of a previous story, are we allowed to reference the previous MOC with that story in the new one? Like my previous questions, it's nothing major, I'd just like to know.

It is not against anything I can find in the Rules. Just, don't expect the judges to know anything about the previous episodes. And some of us may also give more value to new ideas.

Let's try to stick to the rules as much as possible. I assume you are referring to the head of Mr. Kelso's white clad figure? Yes, this may be pushing the limits of the rules.

Please do not egregiously push these limits. For the most part, the judges have been quite lenient and forgiving, but if we feel you are purposely trying to circumvent the rules you risk disqualification.

I see that the rules say that in the landscape category I need some sort of juxtaposition. I'm working on the build now and I think it would look better without it, but I also haven't seen it in some of the other landscape MOCs. If other people haven't done it, do I need to?

Ok, i'm still really confused about the whole "juxtaposition thing". Does it mean placing two or more things side by side? for example water next to a clif. Or does it mean mixing nature with man made material?

Question about:

4) BioSystem Mix
Create a MOC with both System and Bionicle parts. Bionicle parts should be 30 to 70% of the MOC. Build a mech, creature, vehicle, warrior, etc.

Apologies if this question has been asked before. If so, kindly reply with the permalink. If not,

Does the build have to be one object (mech, creature, vehicle, warrior)? Or can I actually build, say a diorama, that's part bionicle and part system ( ... referring to 'etc.')?

Thanks!

Yes, that would be unprecedented and I for one would LOVE to see such an attempt.
(but of course if by that you mean just putting a big bionicle inside a system dio, that would mean binary score. Being you, though, I'm not worried)

It was meant to be nature and man-made side by side; however, we have been allowing for other interpretations as this was not clearly stated in the category.

You're right - it has been answered; however, it will take me more time to find it for you, than just to answer the question. And like you, at this moment, I am too lazy to search for it.

That being said, if you want to maximize your points from all of the judges, then it would be a very wise strategy to choose a real building.

Wheel 8mm D. x 6mm, with Black Tire Offset Tread Small (4624 / 3641) (x2)

I would say three, but it may be five. Thanks, just want to get the exact number.

Patience is a virtue my young fellow builder. Please realize that we are all very busy people, and for some of us, the judging comes at the cost of building. Quite a trade-off to help out the community to give up a month of building to run these games.

Please be kind and thoughtful with respects to your judges - it will be appreciated.

It appears that this creation has utilized a significant portion of a previous build (http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/188844). According to the rules of the MOCathalon: "Every creation must be a new and unique build. No recycling of older creations to make a new MOC look better." The judges are discussing this creation and will inform you of our decision.

I would like to make this point - that I built the walker specificly for this comic. But then I realized that I was in a different contest that wanted a SW vehicle, so I figgered since I already have a vehicle built, I would just post it seperately. Now if I wasn't on a time crunch with this other contest, I would've posted the comic first, and then afterwards the walker. But you have my solemn word that I built the walker along with the comic. In fact if you look at the base of the walker, it is a destroyed part of the dio/vig thing in the comic. So technically, the walker was built with the CW comic, the pictures were taken after I took pictures of the CW comic, but I uploaded the walker before the CW comic because the CW comic took such a long time to edit all the pictures...

I hope that this helps clear things up.

For the set alternative, I used a big set and so is it okay that the pieces are not as much spread out as they are in color-coded piles? I can include the parts list from the instructions booklet as well, I just do not want to take the creation apart now that it is together. Please respond quickly.

That is fine, just link back to this so the judges know I gave the go ahead. However, do make sure they are at least spread out, and not just piled up.

In the Five-Man-Action Team category, can I extend a theme started in Ian's Apocalypse? Of course the entry will be completely mine...

Yes you can - shows team-work.

Yuri. I was wondering when you might go back and judge VYB's float. You said you needed to think about it and would score it later. I was curious, that's all oh wise and all knowing judge type person.

lol that must be the one that got modded, and I couldn't find againg... if you link me here, you'll save me some precious time (even more since the 'pages have been acting up the next couple of days). Thanks :) (anyway, I think that at the end of the games we will have a thread where people can put links to unrated entries)

I was browsing through and noticed it... so I figured I link to it here... A big thanks to all the judges for being patient enough to go through and comment on all those multitudes of entries.

The category description of "Real Vehicle" was a bit vague about whether or not the vehicle actually needs to be modeled after an existing vehicle. I was planning a submarine that has no basis on a real model as in architecture and was trying to figure out if it needed to be based off a real car, for example building a Maserati. Or by just "Real Vehicle" is it saying that already? Because the whole thing seems like an oxymoron to me. "Anything you can think of" it says.
