Your first official judge is none other than the one and only...

You are right, I don't hold any grudges; and most certainly I wouldn't hold anybody to my higher standards of tolerance either ;-)

My votes will be based on the quality of the build, and not the quality of one's personality (which bodes well if Chris should choose to enter this game).

Alllllrighty then. As you all know by now, Kelso and I are NOT judging 'cause we're playin!

That being said, I need 2 AFOLs and 2 TFOLs to be judges. If you are NOT on a team, go ahead and sign up below. (If you leave a team to try to be a judge, you'll be kicked out of the game. Team spirit here people.)

Lee and I will choose the four other judges that he'll be working with over the next couple of days. Sign up! (oh, and you get to be a mod of the group too... like that really means anything.)

If you still need a judge, I'm in.

I'd rather participate, it sounds like it will be a blast, but my workspace is almost completely covered and it doesn't seem fair to force-fit a moc I've been working on for 2 months into a category.

You know in college, I once force fit this chick I'd been working on for two months into...wait, never mind...I'm off topic again.

Think of it this way: with them in one team, watching them is a lot easier than it would be if they were scattered across the group.

I took a look at your page and was pleasently surprised by what I saw there... I promise that was a compliment. hahahaha

So there it is, one TFOL judge and two AFOL judges so far. I'd REALLY like Goldman to compete... I'll reply to him directly here...

I would also much rather have you play than judge! If you don't have the time or space to build new stuff, I totally understand... (sniff)

Seriously though, I think it would be VERY cool if you played. There's a number of teams that are looking for AFOLs. If you can't join up as a player, I'm sure we can slip you in as a judge. (yes Mark, I said it that way on purpose just for you).

basically, you let ME know how you want to participate and that's what we'll do.

So far, the judges are Lee, Archy and John Dawn. I've got two judge spots still open and I know one of them is filled. Just waiting on confirmation from the judge (he's an AFOL and know's who he is.) Then there will be one more judge spot open. IF Goldman wants to compete, then I will put a TFOL in that spot. If Goldman want's to judge, it's his.

And I have no idea what my team's name is yet... should probably figure that out huh? Maybe somthing to do with sheep...

So the list of official judges stands at:
Keith Goldman
Dave Kaleta
John Dawn
Architect of Vonthako
Lee Jones

Back-up judge
Yuri Fassio

The reason for the back up judge, is so that we have another person on board to step in if needed. As this game will be running for 30-days or so, then it is possible that we may lose a judge for a period of time. Call me cautious, but as I tell my patients, my being cautious keeps people safe.

We are down a judge, but we might just keep it as such. The judges will discuss it further, and Chris is fine with leaving it at four. With the point system it isn't like we need to have an odd number of judges.

Okay, First of all It would have be nice had someone told me I wasn't a judge anymore instead of looking at my recent activity and it saying that I left nearly every group. Second of all I don't think kicking me out of this group was necessary, you know there are buttons next to everyone's name allowing you to demote them or promote, all you have to do is change my name to normal. And Finally, what happened to having TFOL judges? The judges don't look balanced. As you might be able to tell this bothers me a little bit, so please get back to me with your answers.

You didn't respond to the post in the judges thread despite given several days to do so. The time line is tight, very tight. we need full attendance, and you were not giving that.

Further, the decision was not mine alone. I was giving you an easy out to save face for the lack of attention to the duties required for the games; however, here it is now for all to see.

The lack of TFOL and/or YFOL was discussed at length with those that were able to participate in the discussion (three of the judges, myself included). As was the being 'one man down'. The decision was also discussed with Chris to get his take on it, and a final decision was made.

The decision to eject you from the group(s) was also discussed. It was not mine alone to make. I was, however, the one that pulled the trigger and deleted your membership. None of these decisions were made lightly.

As I had said before, I had tried to allow you a dignified way out. No fuss, no muss, no finger pointing, no calling you out in public. But, now here we are...

The decision was made to delete your membership (again, it was a group decision). I will give you the respect to leave the group as I have no hard feelings, or do I mean you any disrespect. I do not want to dishonour you by now publicly deleting your account.

Regards,

Lee Jones

John,

I apologize for you having to find out you were no longer a judge in such an unceremonious manner.

We were working on a very limited time-scale, and after five days of waiting for you to join in our conversations, leaving messages on your MOCs and attempting to contact you, the judges decided it would be best for the games to proceed without you.

I echo Lee's sentiments that this is an unfortunate occurrence. The presence of a TFOL as a judge would have been a tremendous asset to the competition.

I express my regret that you are no longer a part of the judging group. I hope that you will be able to understand our position, even if you don't agree with it.

even though I'm not an "official" in this contest anymore, allow me to put in my two cents on this issue.

The original plan for this contest was to have at least one (if not two) TFOL judges for this contest. That's why I originally put it out there for you guys to sign up.

Only one teen (that would be you John) was found that was ready to take on the responsiblity that judging this contest entailed. Or so we thought.

5 days John. 5 days the other judges waited for you to make contact with them in some way, shape or form. This issue was discussed over and over again over a period of at least 2 days that I'm aware of (and I'm pretty sure it was more) before any decisions were made.

I very sorry that things had to happen the way they did but you accepted a responsibilty to do a job and then did not fulfill your end of the deal. All that was requested of you was your input and for a period of 5 days, not only was there no input, but no communication at all.

The judging panel didn't know what to think and with no response from you, a decision had to be made.

That's all I have to say on this for now because trust me, you do NOT want me to go into you "calling out" Lee and the other judges here in a public forum like this.

I offered a job. You accepted. Then you did not fulfill your part of it. End of story.

Now then, I personally don't have any issue with you sticking around and joining in the game (if you can find a team at this late stage). But that's just me, you may want to ask the judges. They're the ones you let down here.

To the judges. I apologize for making this mistake. It was my decision in the first place that brought about this issue and for that, I'm sorry.
