Thanks to the imput given by our good friends at The Network of Minifigure Music Bands, this is a contest to see who can come up with the most creative and well-designed minifigure music bands on MOCpages. For all of you music freaks out there who have always wanted an excuse to have your own Lego band, now's your opportunity to show yourself!
There will be 4 awards presented:
The Best Stage Band
The Best Street Band
The Most Creative Band
The Most Realistic Band
If you have a metal, rock, pop, funk, country, christian, or any other genre of band that plays as a group and on a stage, you have a chance of becoming The Best Stage Band.
If you have a jazz, rap, or any other genre of band that plays on the street corners or in other places, you have a chance of becoming The Best Street Band.
If you're just a plain Legohaulic who loves combining music with creativity and decides to make the wildest, weirdest, wackiest band in the world, you have a chance of becoming The Most Creative Band.
If you've built the most detailed, best realistically colored and most realistic-in-general band of all time, then you have a good chance of becoming The Most Realistic Band.
Read the rules and get yourself started! Enjoy and have fun. On your mark, get set, start creatin'!

FAQ
Who are the judges?
The administrators of The Network of Minifigure Music Bands are the judges, and you can be assured that we will try to be as fair and noteworthy as possible.
Can we add a video to our entry?
Yes, a video can be a big judging factor for your contest entry and can get you some good pointers. Read about it in Rule/Suggestion #13 above.
Can I use custom-made pieces, clay, and other non-Lego elements in my entry?
Clay is the only non-Lego element or material you can use in your contest entry. Even then, it’s only suggested to use clay for certain things, such as guitars.
Your contest title says "...2009." Is this going to be an annual contest or something?
Yes, in fact, we do plan on this becoming an annual event so more people can enter in the future and people can have more chances to "win." But there are no details for future events yet, of course. We're still new to this game ourselves. :)
What if we’ve posted our entry on MOCpages but don’t get it to the contest page by August 1?
In order to be a valid entry, your band MOC must be posted on the contest page by the contest’s closure date. MOCs will be verified to insure that they were not posted after 12:00 A.M. on August 1 Greenwich Mean time.
