We thought we were alone in the Universe, we were wrong...
When in the year 10008 A.D the reseach vessel 'Persephone' was without provocation engaged and destroyed, we knew other intelligences were out there, and that they were hostile. We were at war with the 'Draggone'.
Nine other alien races have also been identified in recent years, mostly at war with each other, and now us!
Due to humanity's perpetual failure to co-exist in peace, we have continuously pushed the envelope in regards to weapons of war, and incindentally, are in possession of the most collossal and devastating engines of destruction known to the Universe.

In 10009, Earth's leaders and the Geo-Lords of the 209 Colonial planets of Earth agreed at the 'Pandora's Summit' on Mars, to elect an autocratic military leader to maintain control of an amalgamation of half of every soveriegn fleets Capital Ships. And so was born the Galactic Anthropic Imperial Armada, under the then inaugurated Admiral Phillip III formerly of the E.U.
Its objectives, to defend and secure Human Space, to eventually seek and destroy all hostile Xenoforms.
i.e.
1- Secure Human Lines.
2- Expand Human Lines.
3- Meet the enemy in their space.
4- Exterminate the enemy.
Within 12 months G.A.I.A had engaged an advancing 'Dragone' horde in human space on thirteen occasions before finally ammassing the largest human armada to date, to score a crushing victory at the vital battle of Alpha Centauri.
'The future of humanity looks bright, however we must remain vigilant and stoic, for in complacency and fear lurks doom.'
- Emporer Phillip III
'We are always looking for new ideas, new ways to do war with the aliens, most of all we need more ships.'
- Geo Lord of Mars Min Cheung
'-It's the wierdest thing I have ever seen, quite big, greenish, almost a battle cruiser's size, but, totally alien. I think its seen us, wow, there's a bright light issuing from a tentacle like appendage off its starboard - Oh no, I think it's a weapon, Oh No! It's firing! Mayday! Mayday! This is the research vess-'
-Last communiquae recieved from Captain John Jeffery of the 'Persephone'
'They are out there, and they mean us harm, G.A.I.A needs you!'
